In this unique CD program, world-renowned psychic Sylvia Browne dispels the popular myths about angels, spirit guides, and ghosts. With her trademark candor, she explains that you can communicate with your angels and guides, and that they’re here to help you along your journey. In addition, she covers topics from forgiveness to reincarnation, shares some of her personal experiences with these celestial beings, and provides helpful tips on effective prayer. Sylvia also imparts methods to protect yourself from a psychic attack and determine whether your loved ones are sending you messages from the Other Side. Then, using a healing meditation, she shows you how you can unite with your angels and spirit guides whenever you choose to do so. In closing, Sylvia uses her abilities to answer audience questions and shed light on what really happens when we leave this plane of existence
Sylvia Browne was an American author and self-proclaimed psychic who built a lucrative career through books, television appearances, and psychic readings. Known for her frequent guest spots on The Montel Williams Show and Larry King Live, she claimed to communicate with angels, spirit guides, and the deceased, and said she had psychic visions from the age of three. In 1986, she founded the Society of Novus Spiritus, a Gnostic Christian church, and ran a variety of businesses, reportedly earning millions annually. Browne wrote over 40 books, many of which were bestsellers, and maintained a dedicated fanbase throughout her life. However, her career was marked by controversy. She made numerous high-profile predictions about missing persons and criminal cases that were later proven false—errors that drew widespread criticism and scrutiny from skeptics and media outlets. A 2010 study by the Skeptical Inquirer concluded she had not been accurate in any verifiable case. Her reputation suffered further after her 1992 conviction for securities fraud. Despite criticism from figures like James Randi and John Oliver, Browne retained a devoted following. Her vague prediction about a “pneumonia-like illness” spreading around 2020 drew renewed attention during the COVID-19 pandemic. She remained a polarizing figure—revered by some, discredited by others—until her death in 2013 at the age of 77.
This was an interview/snippet from one of Sylvia's live appearances. It was more comedic than anything and was only about an hr long at most. I still enjoyed it and laughed a bunch. Sylvia is such a joy and a light even in death. She was one talented lady!
3.5Audio book, this seemed more like stand up comedy than about angels, guides and Ghosts although it was entertaining and I liked the meditation. Just not what I was looking for or expecting
While this book had some interesting information and ways to understand and notice the spirits that walk this life with us, the audio delivery of the material seemed almost flippant. I was quite surprised. And yet maybe that is somehow trying to hold the author to a more peaceful standard than the rest of us, and maybe therein lies the disappointment. Nonetheless, it was an interesting presentation and I enjoyed the material.
She has a comedic style and a certainty many find magnetic. During q&a part of Audiotape, I found myself concerned with the certainty she answered people's question on their life's purpose. This is just skeptic in my nature. I understand people's need for assurance, but this sit well. In any event, it's their choice to believe and will not say more. I did like that she wasn't wishy washy in her presentation. Overall, my rating speaks got itself.
I loved this short book. Sylvia is so down to earth in her advice it is hard to not like her. The meditation at the end is really great too. This book was an audio so I will be re-listening to the mediation again.
