First impression matters, so here’s my honest review. Spaces in Between is a collection of poetry that needs some editorial love and care to become poetically tangible and inspiring.
Spaces in Between is a poetry collection full of potent messages, inspirational notions, and thought-provoking ideologies. The pieces are brimming with profound wisdom as well. You can tell that the author pours his heart and soul into each piece, especially when he is promoting spirituality and the genuineness of one’s intentions. Spaces in Between also celebrates the beauty of life and the values that are in it such as hope, love, and humanity. There was a bit of rhyming in some of the poems but does not follow any specific scale. I’d say that these poems are in free verse. The author shies away from using other elements of poetry such as alliteration, assonance, and/or meter. A few of the poems are in prose such as in LOVE IS NEVER A CLICHE;
Although the subject of love
In all the music we hear today,
It doesn’t necessarily mean

Moreover, the poems that deal with spirituality give a unique view of Christian belief befitting the theme such as For Heaven. Despite a plethora of writing to choose from, I could not connect to this poetry collection. It seems like a first draft, a place to jot down thoughts in their raw form. I believe that the ideas needed more nurturing and the words needed gentle editing to become convincing and tangible to the readers. Although I appreciate the author’s effort in building convincing and inspiring poetries with a variety of themes to choose from, this book is not for me. Nevertheless, this is an impressive concept and with a little effort, it can become an impressive book.

Spaces in Between’s collection of thoughts are outstanding, each one so well-thought-out and well-developed. The book is at once romantic, tragic, enthralling, inspiring, and sublime as a whole. Not to mention the goosebumps, which had me close to tears a lot of the time.
Gil Saenz takes a variety of themes as the book progresses, and the poems use the elements of symbolism, dynamic imagery, descriptive excellence, analogy, emphasis, hyperbole, metaphor, end rhymes, simile, symbolism, uniformity, active verbs, variations of tense, analogy and internal rhymes. I like analogy and one that is called GRACE where the lines state;
“So many events, so many circumstances, so many accidents of birth, are all related in a common thread. They form the myriad picture of the unique person, that we are, and that we are becoming”. This analogy is saying that we mold our own lives and create our fate despite its uncertainty. And that’s the grace of God. We freely choose our path. This analogy made me optimistic that I was going to read a coming together of free will, judgment, and choices in harmony with a collective message, possibly spiritual. This book I would share this with others.

This is a fascinating poetry book. It encapsulates the beauty of life, the vastness of the Universe, and the beauty of nature. For certain, this book appeals to a wide range of readers that gives insights into the aforementioned themes. It grabs the readers’ attention right away, and the pages keep turning to find out what the author has to say about life as a whole. This is a book that should be on everybody’s shelf.
This, in my opinion, is the author’s best work. It met the criteria that prompted me to make a strong recommendation. This elegant poetry book is very uplifting to mind, body, and soul. I was given a free copy of this book in exchange for an honest review. Here it is. I have mixed feelings about the way each poem is delivered. There are some poems with merit and depth that are worth reading, and that I enjoyed, that met with the purpose outlined thoroughly at the beginning but at other times, I have to admit to feeling baffled.
Take GRACE for example in the lines;
“So many events
So many circumstances,
So many accidents of birth,
Are all related in a common thread?
They form the myriad picture
Of the unique person
That we are,
And that we are becoming.”
I had a hard time decoding the message that the writer wanted to convey. For me, it’s more like destiny or fate. However, when times that the words flowed smoothly, I was completely engrossed and enthralled by everything I was reading. Spaces in Between always brings something new to the table that is nevertheless enthralling to savor. The other reviewers are correct in their assessment of this book. I wouldn’t be shocked if this book gets a lot of attention.

The poems are beautiful and spoke to my soul. As someone deeply invested in her own soul’s journey, I connected with the author’s journey in each space in between. As I was reading his words, my heart bloomed and I felt seen and inspired more than I ever have before reading poetry.
I particularly loved the poem entitled “What is Eternity”. I’ve been much more intentional about my existence and this thought-provoking poem thought me how small we are and how vast the universe is. It teaches values such as humility and faith. This poem was magic, speaking the exact words my soul sings every time I’m in the most important moments in my life. I feel blessed to have the opportunity to read and review Spaces in Between. I would recommend it to anyone interested in learning more about spirituality or who is already interested in poetry. Spaces in Between, while being beautiful poetry, provides some insight into many divine workings that will inspire and help you learn more about God and beautiful creations.

This book is worth reading. This collection starts readers on the path to feeling like we truly belong here and now.
Spaces in Between is a collection of poetry that shed light on a variety of themes such as love, nature, hope, integrity, life, seasons, and more. I was amazed by how Gil was able to weave such beautiful and inspiring poems around this variety of themes, effectively imparting a heavily important message about humanity out into the world. The words flowed smoothly and I was incredibly touched and validated by the writer’s introspection. 100 poems, each a relationship healing from the soul to humanity as a whole and individuals awakening to the beauty of nature and life. The only qualm that I have about this book was the way it was designed. Firstly, there are no page numbers. Secondly, the table of contents was random and it seemed rushed. Overall, I was satiated with all the brilliant ideas the author shared and I recommend it.

Given the book’s massive breadth, it’s no surprise that there are a lot of highs and lows along the way, from happiness to sadness, agony, and triumph, betrayal and love, despair and desolation, life and death, nature and unnature, this and more set against a backdropped of our total existence and purpose in this world. It manages to keep the reader’s attention for the entire time. It’s not just a collection of thoughts and ideas expressed artistically, it’s also a book that fosters a movement. A movement that introduced God as our creator and that we are His treasured possessions and it’s a successful mix of all of them, mixing parts from each to produce a masterpiece that will stay with you after you’ve finished reading it. This is an exceptionally written book that I highly recommend.

The poems are well-structured with just the right amount of emotions and feelings. It featured many themes such as heaven, fantasy, dreams, hopes, love, hypocrisy, God, life, and nature. One thing I would say to the author, Gil Saenz knows how to leave readers utterly speechless with his passionate and convincing poems that come to life. I was floored by the truth that was teased but never fully explored since his other book “Poems of Life”. There’s nothing that I disliked about the book. You’ll beg for another collection of poetry in the end.

Poetry is powerful because it’s free; free from the constructs and constraints of prose. It permits those wielding it to explore anything and go anywhere, without restriction. In this book, the writer uses poetry for manyfold purposes from the beauty of life, hope, God, love, dreams, nature, philosophy, and more.
This poet writes in a mesmerizing way that keeps the reader’s eyes glued to the pages and their souls bonded with each word. Some poems rhymed, while others don’t. And when the writer used rhyming, it doesn’t follow any scale such as ABAB, or AABB. All poems are free verse which I had no problems with. Spaces in Between I believe are the unoccupied moments in our lives where our imagination takes us on a journey to our passion. Poetry enthusiasts will find it easy to follow every poem. I’d be glad to recommend this book.

It’s been quite a long time since I read a poetry book and Gil Saenz’s Spaces in Between turned out to be the perfect remedy for my reader’s block. Saenz sheds light on a variety of themes, especially life, nature, and spirituality. It’s something that intrigued me and I had to review my beliefs to confirm such ideologies exist. Surprisingly, it turned out to be a real book with a real message for everyone.
Most of the poetries are in free verse and the ideas flowed smoothly. Each poem succeeds beautifully with the other and becomes an unforgettable page-turner. The writing was clear, clean, and genuine. I had very little awareness of heaven and grace. For me, Spaces in Between is a true eye-opener, and I was engrossed in the new knowledge that was presented to me in a beautifully artistic and rhythmic way. This is a must-read!

I was taken on a voyage of introspection of the author’s Spaces in Between thoughts which introduced me to a variety of themes such as love, hope, life, nature, and death I grew to like and dislike. I felt as if I was in the book in each poem. This was all possible because of Gil Saenz’s vivid, captivating style of writing.
The well-placed life lessons and the roller coaster of emotions that becomes tangible in each line gave the book a taste for everyone to enjoy. I don’t want to give away any of the poems in the book for that would be a spoiler, but I will add that the poems sometimes rhyme and sometimes don’t. Nevertheless, it’s free verse poetry that the author took advantage of beautifully. The message in each poem is clear and concise and it transmits the feeling of the theme it expresses. This book is for me.

Life, nature, God, Science, hope, hypocrisy, and love are all intertwined in this fascinating collection of poems. This is one of the most enlightening books I’ve ever read so far. When I say my life came to a halt till I finished the book, I’m not exaggerating, I’m just amazed at how much passion and skills the author must have put forth in crafting this masterpiece. It’s a short book with about a hundred pages that encompassed all 100 poems. I couldn’t stop reading it to see what the author has to say about our life as a whole. I have to say, Gil Saenz, you are truly a poet, a brilliant writer indeed! Please write more! This was a marvelous experience. I would give more stars than five if I could. I highly suggest this one to anyone who is into poetry that reflects one’s soul. Excellent work!

This book gives us a glimpse of what is beyond our imagination and the existence of a Supreme Being, one that is loving and merciful. Aside from that, this book also themed the beautiful creation of God such as the rainbow, seasons, and snowfall. It’s a celebration of life and its wonders, with a hint of warnings such as in INCOGNITO.
By establishing highly thought-provoking ideas, and exciting new information, Gil Saenz brilliantly pulls the riveting introspection along. He evokes positivity and being grateful. The intriguing poem succeeds beautifully and becomes an unforgettable page-turner despite its extreme brevity. There’s some lovely sentiment found in poems that has real trueness to it in what it relates to the poet, treasured memories. For any poem lovers out there, this is a must-read.

The book was a collection of thoughts such as love, spirituality, nature, and life expressed artistically to deliver a compelling message, thanks to Gil Saenz’s Spaces in Between. I was bequeathed a wealth of new information about the aforementioned themes, and I am glad I did. Consequently, I went into each poem, studied its structure, and concluded that the poems do not follow certain rhythmic patterns or scales. Albeit, the poems are rhyming at times. I appreciate that as a major reader of poetry, I was still able to discover new things and read about things that I had never heard of before.
I had no idea how much I’d enjoy this book until I started reading it. Gil Saenz deserves a lot of credit for bringing the amazing poems that are pertinent to our existence to life. This is certainly a poetry book everybody would love. It’s great for gifts.

This is a collection of thoughts that is based on a variety of themes and is exceptionally well-written. Don’t be put off by the rhyming, most poems are in free verse, and not restricted by the rules. I believe this is how poetry should be.
Spaces in Between is a collection of thoughts that is backdropped in diversified themes such as life, death, hope, nature, universe, spirituality, love, and more. More than ever, I have never flipped pages and devoured words as I did on this one. That’s how great this book is. The build-up of ideas, the creation of words, and the free rhyming (may it be half-rhymed or full rhyme) were just in-depth and wisdom-filled. For sure this is going to be loved by contemporary readers and 21st-century readers. It gives peace and a soothing experience to the readers themselves.

The significance of literary works becomes more appealing if the author advocates social issues that are good for discourse. Freedom of speech was one of the pressing issues mentioned, with the author highlighting that this is one of our greatest liberties. In modern-day society, this freedom is enjoyed by people from all walks of life. But like all things, this has its limitations.
I love how Gil Saenz seamlessly arranged his ideas about freedom of speech, making it educational and motivating to its readers. This collection of poems addresses the idea of sadness in an intricate and brief way. I sincerely love reading poetry, and this has got to be one of my favorites! Full of different life scenarios and sensible ideas that are worth thinking through. This teaches its readers about human emotions and provides aid for the development of self-awareness and emotional clarity on how to accept life as it is.
It contained many poems that there could be one reality for each person. I personally loved the message conveyed by the poem that talked about life in general, that mistakes are just as critical as our successes. That we can appreciate the courage to move forward even if some things don’t always turn out how we wanted them to be. A highly recommended read!

Spaces in Between – Collection of Poems by Gil Saenz is remarkable and has a deeper meaning and text than what I have anticipated. Its best target audience would be teens to adults but could still be a refreshing read for the elderly.
As a person, we have the chance to grow and mature according to our own pace. A specific poem in this collection emphasizes that we must learn to live and understand the spaces of ourselves and of time. That there are significant discoveries for us that are only found when we learn to listen to the silence, something that is not always easily achieved.
The lines are detailed enough for us to understand what the writer wants its readers to read in between the lines. A book that can make you smile throughout the day.

In this collection of poems, we follow the story of the lived reality and fantasy of the author. At first, I was a little confused if it followed a certain theme, but I found it as a free verse. Gil Saenz showed his readers how he embraced the unique beauty of the spaces in between our lives, finding the charm of new beginnings and fulfillment in every situation we’ve all been to.
Our hearts are big and open to the numerous possibilities this world could offer. Sometimes, we fail to look at what is hidden deep within us that can truly make us happy. This book helps people to become mindful of the development of their senses. It takes us to many scenarios and emotions in our lives.

To read such moving, and captivating ideas and thoughts beautifully carved into poetry is a thing of beauty. I was heavily impressed by the author’s ideas on each theme. Although some of the poems looked prose and do not follow any rhyming scale and rhythm, the message it brings is remarkable. Surely, this is not fast work. You can tell that the author poured out his heart and soul to create this masterpiece.
With a total of 100 poems in all, and despite its length, I’m sure you’ll be sad to see it come to an end. You’ll beg for more! The words were perfectly chosen to impress one’s mind in promoting the welfare of humanity and the beauty of life. Highly encouraging and motivating, with tangible stories it brings to touch one’s heart, it’s no secret that I’m a big fan of this.

I couldn’t put it down as soon as I started reading it. It spanned a wide range of contemporary themes that had been thoroughly and aesthetically expressed. This was a very powerful moving poetry book that I did not want to finish. It has 100 poems in total and I’m sure you’ll beg for more.
The poems don’t follow a certain rhyme scale and meter. Most of them, if not all are in free verse and the words were easy to understand. You’ll become engrossed in the many themes it offered and be intrigued by the simple to complex message that it brings. In totality, the book is engrossing and enthralling. I haven’t read a book like Spaces in Between in a long time, but because of this one, I’m lured back to this genre. I would recommend this book to anyone.

To begin with, I was moved into tears in parts of this novel because I had grown to love each poem so much. I won’t tell where since it would be a spoiler if I did. Individually, the poems in this novel were intricately created, eliciting strong feelings and understanding of various themes. Take POETRY MAN for example. The author sees his calling as a poet. A poet to teach and educate any man through his poetry.
You won’t be able to put it down, and you’ll be glad that it’s a hundred poems in all. Every poem is beautifully carved to cater to every reader’s needs. Though some of the poems may not be relatable to others, I’m that this book has always something for everyone. This was a beautiful publication that was masterfully told. This comes highly recommended by me.

A successful poetry book requires relatable and passionate poems to seamlessly blend into the pages. This collection of ideas expressed beautifully has a wide range of themes. There were some that you would enjoy reading and others that you might despise.

The beautiful creation of poetry by Gil Saenz takes the readers on a multi-themed journey. The language, the words, and the sheer emotional depth of the book all contributed to a level of compelling power that I hadn’t expected. At first, I thought that this was one of those poetry books that I won’t enjoy reading. Because my to-read list is so large, this one is the last on my list. The cover simple cover, though, kept calling to me, and I’m glad I bumped this up since it was a great read. Even in its quieter moments, I was astonished to find it so engaging and difficult to put down.
All of the poems are well-written, and I particularly appreciated how Gil Saenz used nature, life and God served as a reminder of hope.

Gil Saenz thoroughly understands life and its purpose and makes it tangible to the readers in such a way that completely immersed in each poem. Many “poets” and/or writers can only dream of creating a sense of verisimilitude by explicit description. This is an epic collection of thoughts that follows life and its purpose, and all that is within it.
Each gist of the poem is fascinating and well-executed without being overbearing. It’s a page-turner with both mind and muscle. I enjoyed reading the poems and I’m looking forward to reading more of Gil Saenz's poetry. This was a great read because I was completely engrossed in each line and stanza. I highly recommend this book to every poetry enthusiast out there.

One of the best poetry books I’ve read in a long time is Spaces in Between, which is a wonderful collection of thoughts and ideas by Gil Saenz. This work is a terrific page-turner because it flows well and at a brisk pace. I also liked how the writer used imagery in each poem such as;
Even when you’re gone
The eyes of the morrow,
Along that imaginary road
Keep you always on my mind.
Life is a labyrinth,
But I know that for us,
Our song of love
And our destiny
Will be fulfilled
With time and forever.
There’s no specific rhyming scale in each line but the words flow smoothly and passionately. No syllabic meter as well because the poems are written in free verse. This work is a must-read for everyone because it raises a lot of essential and internal themes.
