Heat in real life is the bane of Vic’s life, whose favorite season is winter, and Vic’s life is far more mundane than fiction. And when it comes to fiction, the hotter the better is Vic’s motto. Make it romantic, make it sexy, make it erotic, but definitely make it hot.

Billy is a simple guy, a blue collar with an every day maybe boring life. Apparently. Cause Billy has a secret. A very BIG secret. Months before he has taken home a stray dog only to discover that the stray dog is a shapeshifter and in human form he is a beautiful and very big and very sensual man, Bear.

Bear is the output of a failed experiment: some mad scientists wanted to create the perfect soldier, but mixing Bear's blood has only generated a big man/dog who is always ready to play and make sex. And when Billy finds him, Bear needs someone to take care of him. For the world, Bear the man doesn't exist, and Bear the dog could be a problem: lately all around the city an unknown stray dog has attacked people. Billy knows it's not Bear, but he is the only one.

This is a strange story. Almost claustrophobic. Billy and Bear meet and from that moment on, they move to a live together which leaves out all the others. Billy changes his life to make space to Bear, a really awkward new element. Even if undoubtedly Billy is weaker in body, he is him who holds their life together: Bear needs an anchor to his humanity, and Billy is that anchor.

Another element that makes the story a little claustrophobic, is that it's almost setting all by night: the only moment we see the light is when Billy "takes out" Bear for a ride in the park... and when their life will become simplier, the light will increase

I liked this story, but it felt more like the beginning of a novel and not a completed piece.
