Après le climax du volume précédent, la faction du BDE doit faire face au nécromancien Cyrus Rivermoore et pénétrer dans son domaine. C'est aussi l'occasion de découvrir ses motivations et son objectif.

C'était pas mal du tout. J'aime toujours bien quand l’œuvre développe son univers et toute la partie avec la backstory de Cyrus et Frau fonctionne bien. Le dernier chapitre est particulièrement chouette, que ce soit dans ses scènes d'action ou dans ce qu'il raconte. Le combat contre les Faucheurs est une super idée, et c'est un concept de lore bien trouvé. J'ai tendance à oublier que derrière cette histoire de vengeance il y a vraiment un lore de zinzin à base de multivers dans cette série haha. Frau super perso également malgré sa courte présence, elle a une bonne dynamique et une bonne conclusion qui évite en plus de faire redite avec certains volumes précédents donc c'est bien cool. Petit ange parti trop tôt.

Cela étant dit la première moitié patine un peu, les combats et les antagonistes de l'ancien conseil peinant à être intéressants. Je trouve d'ailleurs qu'on manque un peu de développement sur notre groupe principal, ce qui serait bienvenu.

Je ne suis pas contre le fait d'avoir des actions en groupe, mais je trouve que la série a un peu tendance à se perdre en combats peu passionnants, alors qu'elle sait en faire des intéressantes quand on y met les enjeux. Et visiblement ça ne va pas aller mieux avec le IX qui va conclure le tournoi mais eh.

Godfrey's bone has been stolen. The wound is not lethal, but it does weaken him significantly for months to come unless the missing piece is retrieved and reattached. The Combat League is still going on, forcing the Watch to ask the 3rd years for help in invading Rivermoore's domain. It not just the undead that block progress, but also Godfrey's opponents in the struggle for the school presidency who face similar restrictions as the Watch.

Volume 8 ends the arc of the stolen bone and in my opinion it does it very well. Great character and world development with a very necessary ending that is different from endings of earlier arcs and as such muddies the water of what ending the overarching plotline will go with. I am in general not a fan of flashbacks, but the way they were used here was also great. It was not just for the readers' benefit but that of Oliver and allies as well.

My one big complaint though is that the gang was split up and the story shifts between the various groups mostly during the fights and I am not a big fan of this, but considering how popular it is in general, I suspect that is more of a personal thing.

Anyway, a great addition to the series which I really enjoyed reading.

إكتشاف ماضي سايريس ليفومر وعن عائلته مستحضري أرواح،المهمة التي أوكلت له من قِبل جده ألاكبر.
روح فتاة انتظرت ألف عام لي تُسلم إرث لساحرة الحاضر.

علاقة فاو و سايريس جميلة ومُحزنة.
فاو شبح كانت موجدة قبل ألف عام وأستيقظت في المتاهة التي صممها مستحضري أرواح.
ومن هناك اخذها جد سايريس ألاكبر

سايريس شخصيته الحقيقية مختلفة عن طول ظهوره الي كنت أقرائها وحبيته وأمر مؤسف أنه بالسنة السابعة.

بالنهاية سايريس أوفى بي وعدهِ وحقق إعادة فاو،وفاو وجهت نفسها للموت،ومن ثم في أحضان سايريس مبتسمة .

وكالمعتادة المؤلف يحب قتل كل كوبل يُحبون بعض،لكن هذه مرة كانت مختلفة
حيث أن فاو تركت تذكار (طفل ) لي سايريس.

أفكر مرة أخرى هل نهاية أوليفر و ناناو بتكون عن قتالهم لبعض للموت؟..
