I liked this manga, it left a strong impact on me. The art and concept reminds me so much of my favourite manga Negima!, I really love mangas with professional art like this. The art was well-detailed and so incredible! As for the story, it was unique and interesting BUT the plot was a little bit too messy. I liked the characters and the events but everything seemed to be going in without prior explantation about the story and what's happening. Most importantly I didn't know anything about the Nova and what they do as they have been described as the terrifying enemies that Pandoras must fight, I really didn't know about them.
And I don't know why the Pandora in the same training academy are fighting each other, if it was for revenge or something, again it was cause the story didn't explain much about the history of the characters. I was enjoying reading but I felt the story was still unclear.

But the events themselves were AMAZING!
The fighting scenes were SO brutal, I didn't get such a strong impact from fighting scenes before. The world also seems to be well-structred. Although the story timeline seemed to be messy a bit but because of the cool events and unique ideas I still loved it a lot. I'll definitely read the rest of the series because I want to know the action that's about to happen!

This is in the time that I have read up to the 12th volume...

So basically I had just finished reading UnbalanceX2 and X3 (other works by this author) and wanted more. The artstyle is great and his stories are well put together. These were total drama romances and I had no idea the author had done shounen series so I was in for a big surprise. I found this a couple of days later and immediately jumped into it well aware that people were saying the story is a big cluster of holes. Now I will say this... Its true. The story is a big mess and it makes me scratch my head several times but I do have some understanding of it. What I still find sort of confusing is the whole pandora and stigmata stuff as it slowly comes to me throughout the series. The girls are fantastic in both appearance and personality. The pandora each have unique characteristics and some have good back stories and Id like to see more of that. The battles are pretty cool and sometimes quite intense and brutal and the concept in general is facinating but... The story seems to throw me around a bit too much. So then why do I have it at 5 stars? Because despite that I still freaking love this seires so far! Everything else made up for the confusion! I'm glad I ran into this series! All the guys in this so far seem pretty meh in character except the Kazuya and Andre. The rest are kinda bland background supporters since they are "limiters" I guess. What the story needs are better explanations more backstories and more details about the nova beings since they do play a major role.

This is a review of the manga from chapter 1 all the way up to it's current chapter of 196.

What is there to say about this manga? I honestly have mixed feelings on it. There are a lot of problems with this manga; continuity issues, plot holes, massive contradictions of previous important plot points in later chapters. Seriously, the number of plot issues that this story has is incredible. Despite only having 196 chapters, this manga has contradicts itself almost as much as Naruto did - and that manga had 700 chapters!

Despite that, I still really like this series. There are several reasons for this, but I'm only going to get into one of them right now. And that reason is badass female protagonists.

Think I'm joking? Yeah. No. This is no joke. Freezing is a manga where every single woman in it can kick a man's ass six ways to Sunday. Actually, if any of these women kicked a man's ass, said ass would be blown into bloody chunks. That's how incredible these women are.

Review will continue as more chapters are released.

Despite the fanservice, I really liked the first volume. This is a story about your usual clueless protagonist who transferred to the academy, where students are learning how to fight Novas, aliens from different dimension.

What I really like about this series is that the women do the actual fighting and the men are only their supporters and assistans sort of. Yea, I know that the reason behind this is the girl looks more sexy with trashed outfit and naked skin than some high school boy, but I am getting tired of the female weaklings we see in shounen mangas. (Cough, cough, Sakura, Orihime and we could continue with others... No offense.)

I usually ignore the pantyshots scenes and fanservices but I am sure many will enjoy, as some of the fanservice isn't very forced (I actually missed many pantyshots, I prefer reading the dialogues. :D :D :D) but I won't lie, the girls look really cute. But the search for the flat female character continues... *lol*

I liked that the protagonist isn't an assh*le and I was afraid that at the end of volume 1, he will be reading senpai's diary, but he resisted. I almost applaused. In every other manga you could see him reading the personal notes and I would really hate that. He didnt read that. Thumbs up.

I liked that the start of the story was light, a bit funny maybe, but I thought some of the fights scenes were a little absurd. But on the other side, I saw much worse and unbelievable bullying portrayed in anime/manga where I thought wtf? There is simple no way somebody wouldn't stop this. Another argument why this seems a bit legit is this academy is like kind of army school. Bullying in the enviroment where there are ranks and hierarchy is often appearing. Well, what to say, I liked how the Queen messed up her bullies. Her somekind of psycho response should be linked to her past cause I am sure you will notice her strange eyes while she almost killed one of her bullies. I can see the potential. I just hope the writer will play the cards right.

I would like to see how the relationship between the protagonist and untouchable queen will grow and I hope the story will also contains few encounters with the mentioned Novas. Overall, this manga is bloody, violent and you will see some nipples. That's exactly why many anti-manga people hate this kind of graphic novels. And to the hell with them, I love it. :D

This manga has way too many negatives and is a BIG SKIP. At first it starts off as a silly female battle fanservice manga, but doesn't live up to the likes of Queen's Blade. Queen's blade offers the viewers different personality types, body types, and better drawing. Freezing is stuck on a select few types. Then it slowly tries to make the plot more serious, adds another love interest for the main character; turning it into a weak Tenchi Muyo harem.

Finally it goes off the rails, and reveals that Grandpa Gengo Aoi is a parody of Gendo Ikari. Which means the whole time the series is a weak Evangelion copy, and continues in that plotline direction. Throw in a multi universe and we have a train wreck of a story folks; that simply doesn't know what it wants to be. Then ends up not doing it well, regardless of what direction it goes.

If you were hoping for some romance, tasteful ecchi, and decent battles; forget about it. There will be better places to get that—like Claymore. Also, the writer and drawer have decided to drop this series and have no plans of finishing it.

This manga explores human connection, philosophical questions such as ‘what does it mean to be human?’ and exactly how much big boobs overshadows the plot of an otherwise excellent manga

Primeira vítima de "Life's to short for this shit" selo. A manga não é má, mas já estou mais que servido no departamento de "girls with big boobs that fight with swords". Precisaria de personagens com alguma personalidade, um história com um argumento além do típico set para tensão sexual e romances adolescentes para me manter interessado.

I am really torn by this one. Way too much perversion. And the rapey scene was awful. However, I think the worldbuilding has a lot of promise and the plot was pretty tight (considering frequently mangas have little actual plot). Going to read the next couple before I make a decision about this one.

The story itself would only get 2 starts at the moment, however, the idea of the pandora's and limiters makes me want to read the next volume, so hence the 3 stars :)

Almost like a female version of Dragon Ball Z but the clothes keep coming off during the fights.
