When the corpse of a 15 year old schoolgirl is found in a local park, suspicion falls on the father of h er best friend. This suits a sinister young man. This is the third of Maureen O''Brien''s novels featuring Detective Inspe ctor John Bright. '
DI John Bright insinuates himself into the investigation of a murdered girl in Bristol where Kate Creech is rehearsing for "As You Like It". When her niece, Maisie, goes missing it's feared that she will suffer the same fate.
Lizzie: Kate's sister and Mother of Maisie: not a very believable character Dave: Maisie's Father but not married to Lizzie. His students and other young people seem to worship him and they all hang out in his flat.
Just couldn't warm up to Bright. Maybe I need more of the back story of him and Kate, though I don't think I'll read any more in the series.
Bright figures it all out when he sees the play: women dressed as men. The killer, Mark and his sister Margaret are one and the same.
