I picked this up on a friend’s recommendation and devoured it in a single sitting. Before this, the world of falconry was a complete mystery to me. What struck me most wasn't just the technical complexity of the training, but the psychology behind it. You quickly learn that a hawk is not a pet to be owned, but a predator to be respected. It isn't about obedience; it is about building a voluntary alliance. A fascinating study on the difference between ownership and true partnership.
