As you would expect from the title, this book focuses on our attitudes. The idea is that a positive attitude is a winning attitude.
We are told that our attitudes are a matter of choice and as such we can choose to change our attitude if it isn’t providing us the results we require.
The benefits of our positive attitude and identifying this in others can provide us with a more successful organisation.
Combining this with your other leadership skills to foster the attitude in your workforce can make your business stand out amongst the crowd.
Developing your positive attitude can help produce great results not just in business but in all areas of your life.
There are lots of books out there on attitude and although this had some good information it is not one of the best.
As Maxwell is an evangelical pastor you may expect there to be some references to the bible.
Unfortunately I found the numerous bible stories overrode the message of the book.
I feel a more balanced book would have made it more amenable to a larger audience

This is the book that changed my life and career, it was given as a gift on my 13th Birthday. The book covers four main points:

I. The Consideration of Your Attitude: Do we have a Nose high or Nose Down attitude
II. The Construction of Your Attitude: How your attitude defines your altitude
III. The Crashing of Your Attitude: How to get rid of bad attitude
IV. The Changing of Your Attitude: How to develop a Nose high and a winning attitude

I don't know what to make of this book. Granted, yes it does teach you how to develop a winning attitude with a lot refernce from the Bible. But some reason I expected it to be different from what it was. I fell asleep a couple of times listening to it. I love John Maxwell, but this book didn't do it for me. I would have to listen to it again.

Great book..."attitude is small thing that makes a BIG difference"! And then, another of my favorite quotes: "It's your attitude, not your aptitude that determines your altitude"!

Reflexiones positivas:

Wow. Praise for the book “The Winning Attitude- the key to personal success” by John C. Maxwell
Truly it’s an encouraging and motivational book by the author.
The author shows us how we can change and turn our bad attitude into a winning attitude and to become a winner. With it the author shares the insights from his own real life experiences that teaches us the importance of - how to recognise and attain the winning attitude to overcome life’s difficulties, how to win people over, and how to turn problems into opportunities.

Indeed it’s a challenge for us that we can stop settling for second best, but enters the winner’s circle. Importantly this book is to reveal how we can develop the attitude of mind which brings peace, courage and success.

This is a must read for any person. But I personally like how it educates you on how you are to conduct your attitude if you desire to be a proactive person and thus been successful in any area of your life. Also it has a Christian book and is just not one's person advice but rather biblical teachings. For me personally, it helped me to recover from an addiction and very low self esteem and low expectations for the future. Now many changes in my life help me have a positive outlook on life on many levels. Definitely the glory and honor is for God but this book was part of my growing process.

Now the book as a whole does seem to have pretty solid tips in order to explain how to check on your attitude as well as what means you can take in order to change your attitude, it does end up leaning on the religious side a lot, which is expected seeing the Author's background, but I do think people that aren't necessarily religious might find those parts not as helpful especially as it leans more to that part near the end, but i will still say this is an alright book

An old but golden book that pumps courage and excitement to the reader. Concentrating on the future (what comes next?), surrounding oneself with helpful people, optimism, learning from failure, and many more leadership attitudes are sampled, advised and explained in this great book by John Maxwell.
All learnings in the book shall be noted down and visited regularly.

I don’t know what to think of this book. It was nothing like the blurb on the back. It was extremely religious and felt geared toward people in leadership roles vs individuals just looking for a casual read.

That being said, I didn’t hate it.

It was okay. It was recycling some thoughts through chapters and in my opinion, using way too many religious comparisons.
