My debut young adult novel, Mercy Lily, debuted October 8th, 2011. You can download bookmarks from my website's Author Visits tab or the main page at www.LisaAlbert.com. I'm currently working on a middle grade novel and have several projects simmering. I'm the author of three nonfiction books and have a few more nonfiction projects brewing, too.

I also work in a K-8 shool library and love it. I'm a former dealer of antiques but still dabble in the business. I heart flea markets and yard sales!

Thanks for stopping in!
Lisa~

Biography

"Stephenie Meyer: Author of the Twilight Saga," by Lisa Rondinelli Albert is an unauthorized biography that documents Meyer's early life, childhood, and the course of her career as the authoress of the "Twilight Saga." With three kids and a husband, this biography describes Meyer's love life, her teen years, her interests, her struggles trying to juggle family and being a world-renown author, and her inspiration for writing the "Twilight Saga" despite growing up "chicken" and not wanting to read books that had horror and gore in them. Since this book is not an authorized biography it is hard to say how much of the content is accurate, or even real for that matter. What can be said for certain is that this is a book that grants fans of the "Twilight" series the change to get to know Stephenie Meyer on a more personal level, outside of her books. Did you know that her name, Stephenie, was chosen because it was different from the typical spelling, Stephanie? Just one of many curious little details that this book reveals about Stephenie's life.

A very good biography of Stephenie Meyer. An avid fan of the series will recognize much of what is compiled in this unauthorized biography. I really liked having so much of what is available about Stephenie Meyer, her life, and road to fame all in an enjoyable story-like format.

It's always interesting to hear Stephenie's story. This book didnt' offer a whole lot of new information, but was a quick, fun read nonetheless.

Quick read about Stephenie Meyer. Despite being far from a teen, I thoroughly have enjoyed all of her books. This book provided some information but was not as in-depth as I would have liked.

Read via audiobook.

I listened to this because I have been re-reading and rewatching the Twilight series. I'll be honest, this book is hardly groundbreaking and most of the information I already knew and is readily available on Wikipedia. 3 stars because I did learn *a few* things here and there and the information was presented in a well-constructed and somewhat compelling manner.

Honestly, I wouldn't recommend this book to that many people. I'd mostly recommend it to people who want to know more about why the Twilight saga was (and somewhat remains) so popular, and people who want basic background on Stephanie Meyer and the origins of Twilight. I'll be honest that there are better biographies out there, but this is not the worst biography I've ever read either.

The title says it all. This is a biography of Stephanie Meyer, the creator of the "Twilight" series. Oddly enough she is a religious woman.

This biography is bare bones and aimed at teens. Don't expect terrible, revealing new facts. It is simply a straight forward account of how Meyer came to write the novels. Her accomplishment was most unusual so I wouldn't use her life story as a plan of action for busting into the book business.

I have no objection to listening to this audiobook again, but I'm not sure why I would. I'd rather just read the Twilight novels.

A few facts I was unaware of but overall this wasn't a stellar biography. I know this was an unauthorized biography so maybe that's why it felt was glossed over.
