I was so confused by the contradictions and circles that this book contains! One minute she says she doesn't like fame, the next page she's basically bragging about fame. One page she's saying she's changed since the first book, but it's obvious she has not changed too much because she's describing the few sexual encounters she's had with has beens...because no real celebrity in their right mind would mess with her. Anyway, long story short...if you were expecting an inspirational book about how this woman has changed for the positive, this isn't it. Go read 'I Know Why the Caged Bird Sings' by Maya Angelou. If you were expecting a juicy little book with gossip galore, this isn't it either. Go reread 'Confessions of a Video Vixen' If you want to read a book about a delusional person who thinks they are more of a celebrity than Bobby Brown and Larenz Tate and really thinks people want to read about her vapid and boring life, then read this book.

I would give this a zero if I had the option. It's a toss up whether this or A Million Little Pieces is the worst book I've ever read. I read this on the strength of her first and I'm sorry I wasted the time-not to mention the 25 bucks-on it. I hear she's writing a third which I suppose anyone would do, I'd get all the money out of it I could also, but I won't be reading it. I won't even check it out from the library. Seems to me like she told everything of any intrigue in the first book without saving anything. Her mistake. Mine would be to buy her next book.

After reading the first novel, hell, she made a small mint, but it's okay, because I don't hate her for it. I sort of figured out who the mysterious lover was in the first book, and she reveals his name in this one. Didn't come as a surprise to me, but hey, it is what it is! Again, not something I would have probably ever written, but like I said, I'm not Karrine. She's doing her and doing her quite well. I can't hate a sista for that!

But I will say, some of the entertainers she wrote about in this book really shocked me with what she said about them. I don't think she lied about any of it, but people resent her for writing it. I don't! She capitalized on an opportunity, and others are pissed because she got there first!

shit shit shit. there was no reason to read it! Everything said in this book was said in the first book! But if there was "new" juicy information, it was ALWAYS "but i prefer to keep that a secret" or "to protect their identity.." Like, why write a book if theres no real secrets to tell?? She thinks shes a WAY bigger star than she is. I didn't know who she was before her first book. I still dont really ever see her in the spotlight. Dont read it, ever.

Like Anna Karenina without all the like interesting characters and like elevated thoughts and like sense of what one's historical age really means.

Like. That.

OMG... I should have brought the first book first!!! This book a waste. Reading about her her her!!! No change in her life beside her making that book. I guess that was her subliminal message to Bill telling him that she want him back. She simply did not make sense in this book. There were a couple of things that killed me... How you dont have ANY money but you have a wonderful $2,000.00 mortgage home, 2 benz, a nanny for your son who you barely spent time with and still manage to make it through life? I know they check credit now these days so I dont know what stunt she was pulling off... Then what topped it off was her scratching up her brand new benz, call the dealership and the salesman wasnt there so you made them call him on his personal phone to come in, cancel his doctor's appt and give you a brand new car?!!! Am I going crazy? It took me forever and a day to finish this whack cover full of pages. I threw this book against the wall when I was finally done with it....ITS A MUST NOT READ!!!!!!

The reason why I rated this book four stars, is because I admire where Karine has come from and now she's out in Hollywood. I just don't admire what she's done to get there. There were times in which I felt sorry for her, because of what she went through in her childhood. But other times, I felt frustrated with her, and grew tired of reading her book because it seems like she has learned nothing from her past. She went on Oprah proclaiming that she's changed her way, when I keep seeing her on the blogs acting like she has no sense. I do think there's something wrong with her mentally, although she comes across as intelligent.

I read less than half of the book and I was over it. I read the 1st one and i figured i should read this one two only because i read the first and its a quick read. But I just couldnt do it. My first thought was how she ended the last book saying how much she has changed for the better. Then you see her on the cover of her new book legs spread open? seriously? changed? Then what do you know, more sex scandals. In the first book she has a nameless lover who she wants to reveal his identity. I was both happy and pissed that she revealed it in he 2nd one. Happy because omg it was mind boggling. But pissed because it showed that she has absolutely no morals and she will do anythign for a buck, and she knew she was going to reveal it in part two. I think it was a sell tactic. She's an embarrassment to herself.

Nothing changed about her except her age.

This was just a fun quick kind of trashy read. I haven't read Confessions of a Video Vixen yet, so I may be missing out on some info and some better name-dropping. My favorite things are 1) he undying love for ex boyfriend Bill Mahr (the main part of it being my favorite is that her ex-boyfriend IS Bill Mahr) 2) she is constantly referring to herself as a NY Times Best Selling author. Which, you know, she is. But if you have to refer to yourself as such every 2 pages, then maybe you should do some other things, too.

I couldn’t even finish this book. I got 75% of the way and was ready to scream if I read Bobby Brown’s name one more time. The repetition in this book frustrating. The timeline is all over the place and it seems like most of her writing were fillers. Like “I don’t have anything else to say so I’ll just keep repeating the same thing.” It’s a bit depressing too. The second part of a memoir is usually the hardest to write (because I’ve done it) because you’ve already wrote about your “juicy”, deep secrets but this book is definitely not at the level of Confessions.

I have nothing against for life choices those are hers. the writing kept going in circles and circles. you can tell she just wrote the book for a pay check. it was almost like she was trying to convince herself that she has changed as a person. was a boring read until the last sentence where she outs Method man as poppa.

I read Steffans' first book about a year ago, and didn't particularly like her, though, the book was fun. This book was less "fun" since it wasn't so much about the salacious details of her escapades, but more introspective. Frankly, she still comes off as extremely narcissistic, with a very high opinion of herself. Yet, I could at least appreciate her moments when she talks about how sharing her experiences have helped others, who have had some similar life experiences.

Though hearing about some of her interactions with celebrities was interesting, some of the interactions came off as a bit mean-spirited with some low-blows. Whether or not the low-blows were warranted, eh, maybe, maybe not. For example, I didn't see what the point of sharing her experience with Teddy Pendergrass was.

I'm sure because I'm reading this book years after the fact, there are probably some nuances and reasoning that I'm missing. For example, why call out "Big Papa" when previously, his anonymity was so important?

Just like her first book, this one was a very quick, easy read. It's entertaining enough that I'll probably read her other book (or books by this time). These books really are guilty pleasures.

from the beginning to the end this book had me like huh!!!!This is the biggest waste of money. The Vixen had to have written this in one morning, because it only took me two hours on a Saturday morning to complete this work. All she did was talk about Bobby, Ray J and Bill. How pathetic. She is practically begging Bill to marry her, throughout the book. This is a plot or we are being "punked". She has no pride, but wants to be seen as respectable. And papa??? Method Man??? Please. His wife has cancer so I suppose she felt she could reveal him. This book reads like the diary I kept when I was 10 years: juvenile and redundant

the author of "confessions of a video vixen" (which i haven't read yet!) has diary like entries devoted to her life after "confessions" came out and interactions with various celebrities. she dated bill maher and is obviously still madly in love with him seeing as she finds a way to not only mention his in almost every chapter but to compare him to every man she dated before and after him. bill... just take her back please b.c if i read her next book and she's still mourning your relationship i'm going to be pissed. decent read. i might have enjoyed it more if i had read "confessions" first.

Feel ripped off as this book is Karrine trying to maintain her B List celebrity status by dropping a gossip here & there; Really the book is a bunch of diva-esque, self-righteous hypocrisy for her wallet

Also feel a bit guilty as I purposely looked for scandal & the focus is on self-help; The passages on loving because of flaws & intellectual attraction are keepers & she does come across as very articulate

"Confessions..." was intriguing because I didn't know what she was going to say. However, "The Vixen Diaries" is a little too much. Ms. Steffans is tooting her horn to the nth degree, and it gets old.

Audiobook: A bit dry as the author just orates about relationships with celebrities and how she is dealing with her fame. It doesn't go into detail and it is all sort of the same so even though it is short, I was easily bored

I loved seeing her growth in this book but again I was expecting more tea. She pretty much gave teasers and left us hanging kind of like she was scared to say things because she was being threatened. Some of the people she mentioned were complete shocks to me. An enjoyable read still.

I enjoyed Karrine's debut - Not only for the salacious details (I can't lie and say they aren't fun), but especially for the storytelling. I hoped this would be similar in that regard. Nope. An entire chapter dedicated to the wonders of Myspace...Huh? I do give Karrine credit, she has nerves of steel, but (at least when this was penned) she is possibly the most self-aware unself-aware person alive. For instance, she knows her behavior is entitled and bratty, but seemingly makes no effort to understand why or fix it.

Some parts of this book made me downright incredulous. She claims to be more famous than Bobby Brown in 2006...Ok babe. She also alludes to being A-list status. No comment. At one point she laments about not having a ton of friends or time for friends before claiming she's more successful than all of them...It's a mystery hon. She also opens the book with a message of independence and self-empowerment, yet her life continues to revolve around men who, even through her romanticized gaze, clearly don't give a sh-t.

I feel like Karrine believes she is better and smarter than most people, including her readers. I don't doubt she's smart, but so was Lord Byron y'know? I hope she no longer engages in huffing her own farts like computer duster.

I tried to give karrine another opportunity to entertain me and give me of course inside Hollywood details buuuut she failed me.

This book should have been titled karrine, Bobby and Bill. She repeatedly mentions them and their failed relationships. Of course she name drops a few names Jamie Foxx, Keenen Ivory Wayans, Chris Rock to name a few. I still do not believe she is a good mother. Her son was in state custody for a month. However, once she got him back she still continued to travel for relationship purposes and that speaks volumes.

The book cover is okay the back photo is better.

A while ago, I was talking with a coworker about local political scandals of all kinds. "If you're interested in scandals, I've got a great book for you", she said, and insisted I read this... I take pride in being able to power through anything in print, so I did but, boy, was this an uphill battle! Forget the bad writing, the constant mentions of the Benz, the cringe-worthy clawing for relevance; the absolute worst thing about this book that it wasn't even scandalizing. At least give me proper smut! I want my time back. By all means, do judge this book by its cover.

More of the same. An attempt to show reform and some regret but still more of the same. I would never knock her hustle and she was able to capitalize on her trists way before social media but I wasn't captured by her story, the first book was interesting, the second one was just mediocre in my opinion.
