This is starting to get better. Yano is less of an ass, and he is starting to come to terms with everything that happened. The side story had some good quotes in it and did add some character development as well. The art continues to be beautiful as well. Looking forward to see how this is going to turn out.
me duele verlos separados :(
PD: TAKE ES UN MALDITO AYDUIA LO ODIO NO PUEDO COMO LE HACE ESO A SU AMIGO S.O.S
Chapter 18
Chapter 19
Chapter 20
Si escuchan un grito soy yo. Dios, si antes amaba a Take ahora más.
Here we see something interesting. The love between our two protagonists dwindles--it exists, but we see clearly the concept that love is a tentative thing, has no basis in the world of infinity. Rather, love exists and can be replaced with a new love; there is no constancy, all that exists is replacement. Nana must choose between the up-and-coming Takeuchi or Yano, the former of which is conflicted yet resolute, the latter willing to change.
The same thought, repeated again and again, that memories delusory and the present is all that exists--is again repeated here. Before, it is between Yano and Nana--now it is between Yano, sister, and Nana-san. He must--we are told--let go of his memories of Nana-san, realize that her death is real; that there is nothing left. But is this the right option?
The book concludes on a cliff-hanger.
The concluding story gives Takeuchi more character. He is, of course, from the start, pretty much exactly what this story describes him as; he is someone who self-sacrifices his love for others. His "kind eyes" are precisely kind because of this, because of his first love--love lost, turned into a memory. I suppose it is meant to deepen the meaning behind his desire for Nana, on a metatextual level, as well as provide a cute little story, complete with a poem.
Rooting for Takeuchi even tho that ship will prolly never sail T^T Yano still sucks imo. I’m gonna give it one more volume, and that’s prolly where I’ll stop.
Edit: couldn’t completely finish vol.6 lol; just skimmed the rest of the series and yeah—maybe ill come back to it someday? i gave it a good 5 and a half volume try so there’s that. i do have to say that the covers for the series are all gorgeous tho ><
3.5 stars. Wow, I really like Takeuchi. Yano really doesn't deserve Nana, he's just not that nice. It sucks he had his crappy relationship with Nana-San, but that doesn't mean he can treat others like garbage. I hope Take realizes this and goes for Nana! Take reminds me of Daigo from Sand Chronicles.
I just finished this volume, and I just can't with Yano's friend. His friend is super nice, and I honestly think Nana and him should get together, but he's butting in a whole lot in the development of the characters and the plot progression that it's a bit annoying. I would like to see a happy ending for him, but he's getting on my nerves!
This was really good! The story is getting more and more interestig and I'm loving the characters. thex are so dynamic and flawed, just like i real life.
Because Yano is unable to get over his past love with Nana-san, he and Nanami decide to break up. It's been over a week and neither one of them can seem to get over the other yet.
In order to win Nanami back, Yano is trying his best to move on from his past love but, he just doesn't know how to let go of what he once thought was and was going to be the love of his life. What he does know, however, is that if he cherishes Nanami he needs to hurry and wake up before his best friend, Takeuchi, sweeps her off her feet!
Non so io.
Why does this book tear at my heart strings so much? probably because I find it so sad when two people like each other and won't be together. This is one of the reasons I read the series and it's my favorite anime and manga.
Aaaaand, I'm going to stop reading this series at this point. Seriously unhealthy relationships going on here with zero sight of betterment of characters or situations. I think I, as the reader, suffered enough after 5 volumes.
