For such a young author, this was a really good book!!
This is a fast paced book that was never boring. I would certainly like to see a 2nd book continuing this story. I encourage this author to continue writing and maybe a second book following Within My Skin? Great title BTW!!! She has a great future ahead of her with her writing!!
Holy crap! Definitely worth the read!!! This story was intriguing and captivating! As a self-published work it has its grammatical and punctuation errors (and they can be overlooked… and doesn’t have an effect on my rating). The characters were well fleshed out, the action and tragedy and mystery suckers you in and I couldn’t stop reading. Deaths were brutal and some of them unexpected, making me gasp out loud! The only nit-picky thing I have to say is the use of nicknames that did pull me out of the story … “Ar” for Arabella, “Ame” for Amelia and “Gen” for Geneva… would someone give a nickname to anyone to someone they just met?
Had a lot of fun reading this one with my local bookclub, and a big thanks to the author Leah for coming to join us. I like the world setup in this book, and am glad to know that the author plans on revisiting it in a future sequel.
