I personally rate this a five star because I am a lover of learning about earthquakes and volcano's. This is the book for you too if you like earthquakes and Volcano's. Okay so imagine if you were a seismologist living on the biggest fault line in the world *AKA* San Andreas fault line. Well that right there is the life of seismologists Max Burton. Max Burton one day finds out that in the beginning of April all of the micro-quakes were normal though when he looked at the middle of April the micro-quakes had increased to 200 a night. This is the start of the mystery. So I don't want to say anymore because I don't wan't to ruin it for you. So find out by reading the book.

The book Terra Nova is a great book that by reading the first few chapters you can already tell it's science fiction. The book is very intriguing as the fact that all of humanity is at steak. A seismologist in California finds out that there will be an earthquake that will wipe out the human race if it is taken to an earth like planet where humans can live. This book is great and I would recommend this book to those who like science fiction.

Easy read

Good first book. There are many characters. At first the story seems to jump around but you are able to follow along pretty easily. While the story is clearly science fiction, there is a believable aspect to it. I'd love to see book two if the author finishes. Apparently there is a young readers edition of this book but I think a seventh or eighth grader may even find this edition enjoyable.

I'm struggling with this book. I love this type of genre, and the description of the book was intriguing, but I'm about halfway through and somewhat disappointed thus far. The foreign spy stuff does not interest me, I think that's why. I might put it away and try again in a few weeks. Just not as happy with it as I hoped.

I really enjoyed this book. Several concurrent stories that are going on. A little slow in places, some frustrating change of story in other places that make you want to keep reading to find out what happens next. Would like to see a sequel to this book.
