Arranged chronologically, each entry covers a day of the year and provides a menu from a significant meal that took place. An entry begins with the name, location, and date of the event, plus a brief explanation of its significance. Next comes the menu, followed by an analysis and, where possible, several recipes from the menu.
I really enjoyed this book and thought it fascinating food history. The calendar aspect is simply a gimmick you don't need. It's a lot of fun looking up some of the more obscure dishes, too.

365 gün boyunca bir menüyü anlatmak iyi bir fikir gibi görünse de bir gün 19.yy, bir gün 17.yy atlamak çok yorucu. Tarifler arasında geçişler var ama fazla fazla atıfla başınız dönüyor. Bazı menüler uyduruk tabii :) Genel olarak iyi bir eser ama maalesef daha iyi olabilme şansını kaybetmiş.
