It's Christmas time in Minnesota and Dani-Lee and her soon to be ex-husband had the easiest thing to do. Dani-Lee had to simply meet up with her handsome ex Adjoni Morris at the airport to hand over their six-year-old daughter Kenya for a three-day Christmas trip with her father. Sounded simple enough, except Mother Nature decided to show off that day! Within the blink of an eye Dani-Lee finds herself snowed in with her ex and two other couples at a Bed & Breakfast. Devasted that her fate changed, and she now has no other choice but to spend The Holidays with her estranged husband, Dani-Lee and Adjoni are forced to face what made their marriage fail in the first place. Will Dani-Lee be able to forgive him with the help of some Christmas magic? Read all about it in this Urban Holiday Romance release!
This was an interesting holiday read. The plot twist with the other "couple" was good. But I couldn't root for Dani, her lack of accountability, though the majority of the book drove me crazy! Like, I understand postpartum, but 3 YEARSS of no emotional, physical, spiritual, s3xual connection while not caring for your child or communication, while refusing help is crazy. I'm surprised he didn't ask for a divorce, and he should've before cheating. I'm glad Ethal could help before she departed. Please read if you like the marrige in distress trope.
I highly encourage everyone who reads, to check out this book. I hope there are more books added to this. Whomever reads this book won't be disappointed. Dani know she was getting on my nerves acting that way she acted slow as hell, I understand Adjoni hurt her by cheating on her but damn I was glad when she let that hurt go and moved on. I glad you educate people on postpartum depression because it is a serious, if you never went through it then you wouldn't know about it. Edward and Tiffany deserved everything that came to them. Kenya was such a smart child. I felt sorry for Mr. Ralph after Mrs. Ethel died. So glad that they got it together and gave it a second chance. Good job Candy Moore.
This Christmas standalone is so lit. I know my girl was hurt on what her hubby did by cheating. I don’t condone cheating but she pushed him away for almost 3 years. I’m glad she got her postpartum depression taking care of. I’m glad the old couple put some knowledge in their heads and they are still strong. I’m glad Edward is dead for kidnapping their babygirl and I’m glad his sister is doing time for her involvement and everything. U did good on yet another book and I’m looking forward to reading more of them. Sitting here patting my feet while sipping on Pepsi and while eating popcorn while waiting on the next book to read
The story was a really cute Christmas story with a little twist. The twist was rather unexpected but good. My only gripe is the lack of editing. I'm not sure if the author self edits or uses an outside editor but the errors were extremely noticeable. They did detract from the story in some places because the sentences were unclear so I had to reread them, but obviously they weren't enough to stop reading altogether. All in all, I would love to see this on the big screen!
The urban stories sometimes ring different for me. This one was more contemporary and more my speed. In this story, I hoped the couple would be able to get past the husbands uncalled for act of lousy thinking. I understood my this man's wife was ready to throw in the towel. Listening to him sweet talk another woman. Nah! He was lucky to get a second chance.
This was a REALLY GR8 read. Mrs. Ethel was truly special. I can understand Dani and Adjoni both. She was going through depression and he was being neglected while caring for their new baby. Tiffany and Edward... WOW 😳😳 I'm glad he didn't get away w his plan.... He really didn't think that through at all... Happy for the ending... Please read this 😇😇
This was my first book by Candy and I loved it! This is my second Christmas book I read today and this one made me smile. The chemistry between Dani and Adjoni was everything. I loved how she wrote about cheating from different perspectives and postpartum. I will definitely be reading more from Candy
This holiday story was pretty good and I enjoyed it I think everything that happened was meant two to show the couple they deserved to give each other a second chance and work out like Mrs. Ethel said too!!
This was a great Christmas story…it addresses post partum depression, but there is also a little suspense and mystery. I had my suspicions. It’s a cute short read that I thoroughly enjoyed.
I enjoyed this book and the storyline. I was happy they worked out their problems. The way she touch on the subject of postpartum depression was perfect.
She is a better woman than I am. There is no way I would be able to get past hearing my husband do something like that. There ain’t enough forgiveness in the entire world.😳
This was a cute X-mas story. I’m glad Dani was able to forgive Adjoni. Tiffany and Edward were some true crooks. The love of money is definitely the root of all evil.
