A bit of a let down. It doesn't feel like anything happens in this book, other than Millie getting a dog. In particular the plot described in the summary, which is never solved. Does Millie save the boy? We don't get to know, because he runs away and she's left saying "oh well maybe he'll go back to a better life." I enjoyed the other three books in her series but was bored with this one.
