This book is filled with short stories of Bart Simpson’s life in the past, present and future. Its bad humour bores the reader through most of the book. It shows that a boy with bad parenting and too much freedom can have a fun filled life with lots of mischief and destruction.
I would recommend this book for boys and sometimes girls at the age of ten or under. Having thirteen stories of Bart’s life tends to make the book continue on for longer than it should and makes the book incredibly boring to read at some points through the story.
Having a visual representation does help the reader to understand what’s happening but it makes the story boring because you can see the things Bart's doing which doesn’t give you any imagination. This book also contains a lot of onomatopoeia that makes it seem a bit childish.
As a Result I wouldn’t recommend this book to anyone over the age of ten and I give it 4/10.

Sub-par - even by Simpsons comics standards.

I saw this book for sale at my local library for only 25 cents, so I figured, "What the hell". I'm glad I did because this was a hell of a fun read. As a kid I would watch the Simpson's every day at 5:00 until 6:30. Many of the episodes where played over and over, but I didn't care. At the time it was one of my favorite shows ever. Reading this nice collection brought back a lot of those memories.
The book focuses on Bart, but many of the other Simpson regulars appear. Moe, Professor Frink, even Kang and Kodos, all make apperences. Reading this book was like seeing an old friend you haven't seen for quite some time, but you didn't realize how much you missed them till they came back in your life.
The stories all have a somewhat silver age feel, where any story is doable, as long as the status quo is restored by the end. As a result you get stories that take place in the wild west, one where Snowball 2 gets superpowers, and even one where Bart is turned into a reptile boy. This style can get some what boring and repetitive after awhile, but with the book only being 120 pages, you'll finish it long before that happens.
Overall, a really fun and enjoyable book.

As I mentioned before in my recent SPN comic reviews, I'm not generally into comic books, but I appreciate the Simpsons compilations and usually really like them. The art is great: colorful like the show, sometimes funny, sometimes cute. It's never distracting and makes the narrative and panels easy to follow. The writing is, for the most part, great. The comics are funny (often more so than the show) and I can always hear the character's (actor's) voices in my head as they speak. As always with compilations, it's a mixed bag. In this one, I really liked "24 hours in the life of Ralph Wiggum," "See You Later, Alligator," "The Dickens You Say," "Sashimi Bart," and the short "mysteries" with Lisa.

A collection of hilarious comic strips focuses on Springfield bad boy Bart Simpson and the other kids from the Simpsons' universe, as Bart continuously defies authority, plays truant from school, and fights crime in the guise of his alter ego Bartman. - This text refers to the school & library edition.
*This is the Amazon summary of the book.

I figured I might as well leave this since nobody else has and there isn't a summary posted here. This book is also apart of a series of comic books so there are plenty more that you can read like this one.

Bath Simpson is a mischievous boy from Springfield somewhere. This collection of comic books shows off some of his finest moments throughout the Simpsons. In one start he is the sheriff out west and needs to get the water back to the people of the town.
All in all this book is exactly how you would expect it to be. It is funny and sarcastic at times, but loses the sense of story with a new storyline popping up every two pages or so. This was a very funny and entertaining book that I would most definitely recommend to anybody that likes the Simpsons.

Big Bad Book of Bart Simpson
4/5 stars

I picked up this trade at a swap meet . I collect Simpson comics so I felt the need to add this to my collection and naturally it was very fun and whimsical if not at times a little slow.

Ps. Bartman!

Over 115 pages of Simpsons Comics stories and shorts featuring the Bad Boy of Springfield, Bart Simpson. I've several of these collections and I just keep having a ton of fun when I read them.

The fun starts with a parody of the classic Western TV show/1999 big screen Will Smith clunker Wild, Wild West. Then Bart and Milhouse skip school and have an epic day of fun! Later, it's time for the Springfield Elementary Science Fair. The grand prize is a gift card at the Android's Dungeon and so Bart really goes all out in order to win. Only his experiment might have unleashed mutated alligators throughout the city sewer system. Better call in the national guard...

In the most surprising of surprise returns, Bart and the family visit the local wild animal park to spend some quality time with Stampy. Stampy was the elephant Bart won when he won a call-in contest on the radio in season 5. Thanks to the elephant, Bart and Lisa are able to rescue their little sister, Maggie, from a family of hyenas.

Lisa fits into a lot of these stories. On at least 2 occasions, Lisa solves mysteries in a style similar to Nancy Drew. In another story, Lisa plays to her mischievous side, telling Bart all sorts of lies about the book he's got to read for a book report. But in typical El Barto fashion, things turn out a-okay for the boy.

There's a slew of other Springfield characters and there's over a dozen stories in this book. It's just impossible to cover them all without spending all day writing a review. If you love the Simpsons and you're in need of some fresh stories, check out this trade paper collection of Bart-centric tales from Bongo. Affordable collections are out there in used book stores. You just have to look!

I've read other Simpson's comics and the stories had the same clever humour as the show used to (not now, but back in the day). This comic was bad. Ridiculous plots. Not funny in the least. Don'r waste your time.
