Dated, but some fundamental discussion regarding the relationships between language and story, individual and community, narrative and truth. Basic intro into discourse analysis framed within the author's experience and research of Ft Wayne narratives. Appropriate for undergrad.

An important contribution to linguistic (especially discoursal) analysis of narrative, but also just an enjoyable read.
