A spin off from the Dancer series that goes in depth into the Me'Aukin race that was introduced in Rogue Dancer. It follows the lives of Rick and Jamie before being frozen, yet again, on their home planet of Me'Auk, going into detail about the why's and the what's. Great read with all the helpful background info to roundly finish off and understand the world created in the mind of TM Tolan.
