8 years ago, I took the fall for a murder I didn't commit. My payment is the Pakhan daughter's hand in marriage. This union will be key to an alliance between our mafia families.
Charlotte is a beacon of light, I crave. My darkness is less suffocating when she is around. On the outside, she looks unscathed from our mafia world even though she was born in blood and raised in violence. She is the image of a classic Bratva princess. She's untainted perfection.
I stole her innocence before we could say I do. Any chance of peace is ruined. But it’s Charlotte's secrets that will be the downfall of her family. And my revenge will be when I marry her anyway and steal everything to raise to the top. Growing up, I was the forgotten one, but soon I will be the one with power.

This is a standalone mafia romance.

''You're hurting my heart''

Safety warnings:
- Slight age gap
- No cheating
- Slight OM drama
- No OW drama
- Violence/d*ath
- HEA

This was my first book by the author, and I quite enjoyed it!

There were a lot of twists and turns throughout the story. We got a few nice secrets that were revealed that I honestly did not see coming.

Savio was an intense MMC and had a lot of demons of his own to deal with. He tried to be a great man for Charlotte but would fail sometimes.

I felt like Charlotte's character was both naive and fierce. She was easily manipulated and hurt by the ones she was supposed to entrust but also showed quite a strong hand when she needed to lead her team.

I was sad about a few things towards the end, but I am glad it was able to be fixed and the characters could all move on and find a common ground despite the past and pain.

“You were made for me.”

Wow! What a tangled web of seduction, secrets, and sin Author Emily Bowie weaves! Throne of Diamonds is an edge-of-your-seat, heart-hitting, adrenaline-rushing roller coaster of a mafia romance. Prepare to go on one wild ride! This book begins with a bang and never lets off the gas. I was rendered breathless.

Readers will fall for this arranged marriage meets mafia romance that stars a dominating and lethal hero with a hidden heart, and the beautiful and bold heroine who melts him. Charlotte and Savio are the perfect match, a formidable mix of fire and gasoline who ignite together. I reveled in the love that eventually grows between the hero and heroine, blossoming into something beautiful from something that didn’t exist before.

Throne of Diamonds took me on an incredible, heart-racing ride full of chills, thrills, twists, turns, and all the feels. I was a prisoner of this dark mafia romance—dominated—where I felt every ounce of this potent mix of pain and pleasure. Pure intoxication! I was so in love with this love story that kept me turning the pages.

Forced to leave his family to join the organisation he vowed to never go near, the Bratva to make the alliance so much stronger,Savio swore to himself that he would work his way up,gain all the power, his rightful place, prove to everyone that he was something, that he was someone, instead of being pushed to the background.
Charlotte has been the opposite...she has chosen to keep herself to herself, wanting to develop in her own right.
A few years on,Savio and Charlotte have got the shock of their lives, and they have to navigate their way through a life together to get to the top,at the beginning it was so unwanted, but as time went on,the passion and the want was so plain to see,she was the light to his darkness, the calm for his storm.
This was a great standalone full of action, fire, sacrifice and so many secrets...it left me wanting more!

This was my first book by this author and I really enjoyed the story!!

I love a Mafia Romance and this was a rollercoaster of a read, lots of ups and downs....I was on the edge of my seat and gripping my kindle a lot while reading this.

Charlotte and Savio...... Gosh........!! These two are thrust together in an arranged marriage. Charlotte is beautiful and brash but boy can she melt his heart!!! Savio is one hell of a man he's Dominant, sexy but has a heart of gold that's hidden away and this heart only beats for Charlotte!

Honestly this story is full of drama, love, passion and twists and turns a plenty.

Throne of Diamonds by Emily Bowie. This is the story of Savio Mancini and Charlotte Solokov. If you have read the previous series 'Dark Mafia Sins' then you will be familiar with the characters in this book. But, this can be a standalone book. Savio was sent to work with Bravka and letter took the fall for the Italians by going to prison for something he didn't do. Now in the current day, Savio his getting out of prison after serving several years. Savio's award is to marry Charlotte who is a Bravta princes. Charlotte wants to take over for her father but of course that doesn't seem to be the path other are putting her on. Then these two meet and start to find what they need and didn't know they needed. Enjoyed and Can't wait to read more from this author.

Savio took the fall for a crime he didn't commit, and did some time in prison for it. After he gets out, he's set to marry Charlotte, a Pakhan's daughter, and he sure didn't see her coming. Charlotte is our somewhat naïve heroine with a lot of strength at the end of the day, which was understandable because of the world she was born into, and she's not happy about being sold off to a man since she has other plans in mind for her life. These two have chemistry in spades with the chance to become quite the power couple in their brutal world, and I LOVED them a ton. Of course this is mafia romance, and that means there's twists coming in hot, betrayal in spades, violence, secrets that don't make friends, so it was an edge of our seat thrill ride that I couldn't get enough of. HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

This Mafia/Bratva romance was full of action, steam, drama, secrets, and lots of twists and turns. Really exciting to read!

When Savio ends up working for the Bratva, he is determined to make the best of the situation. Only he ends up being sent to prison for years.

On his release a marriage has been arranged for him.

Charlotte (the bride-to-be) is a Bratva princess, who one day wants to walk in her father’s footsteps. Only nobody seems to take her seriously.

Will they be a perfect match or a match made in hell?

This was a new to me author, and I can’t wait to check out more of her books.

I received a copy of this book from the publisher/author to review for Stephanie's Book Reports.

This is a stand alone so you do not have to worry about their being a cliffhanger. If you have never read any of Emily Bowie's books then you are in for a treat. There always really good. This book is the story of Savio and Charlotte. Savio is a dominating man who is extremely lethal but he has a heart hidden beneath what he wants people to see of him. Charlotte is his weakness so to speak because when he is around her he just melts inside. Charlotte is one tough character and has this way about it that is pure and sweet and innocent for someone who has been raised in violence. She also is the force that calms Savio when he is beasts are roaring. Together they will melt your kindle. They are part of an alliance between their two mafia families. However Savio has a plan and it could really ruin Charlotte's life. Will he be able to go through with it, or will he lose his heart while trying to get to the top just to make a name for himself since he was the forgotten child during his childhood? You have to read and find out. This book is full of twists and turns and will have you reading well into the night.

Forget all the reasons why it won't work, and believe the one reason why it will...

Suspense, steam and sorrow are emotions that are laced throughout this stirring Mafia story. Charlotte and Savio's pasts are steeped in violence and brutality. Both are part of a Mafia family where power is like a drug that can take you to a very dark place.

Savio is lethal and deadly, but when he is around Charlotte, he feels grounded. Their arranged marriage starts out strained with tension and hostility, but Savio respects Charlotte as she is fierce and relentless. He finds that an attractive quality in a woman.

Their story is provocative and will have your heart pounding, I was at their mercy. Emily needs to write more Mafia stories ASAP.

I received an ARC for an honest review of this book. This is my first time reading anything by this author.

Savio didn't have it easy, from being sent to work for the Bratva then having to do 8 years in prison for a crime he didn't commit. He didn't have an easy life growing up and because of that he never let himself feel or fall in love. When he is set to marry Charlotte the feelings he has for her feel foreign but he can't help feeling protective of her and wanting her for himself.

Charlotte was a Bratva princess but she wanted more. She wanted to be part of the Bratva and be her fathers Heir and help work alongside him with the diamond business.

This took me a while to get into and I really struggled for a good part of this. I did eventually get into it and thought it was a good story. This wasn't my favourite mafia/bratva story but I still enjoyed and thank you for letting me review.

Arc review

I had a really hard time reading this book, i'm usually a huge fan of mafia/bratva book but this one did not do it for me. The writing style was difficult to read, the storyline had holes in it. Everything was going too fast for my liking.

Charlotte was the only thing that I liked. I almost DNF it. Im sad because this was my last book of 2022.

This one made me feel like I was at times just lounging in cool waters and other times thrown into choppy waters, all over the place and barely hanging onto the ride.

Charlotte is the eldest daughter of the Pakhan. But she always has had this need to prove to her father that in their male dominated world, she could be as equal to as a male heir would be as she's equally brave, ambitious, strategic and is ready to get things done no matter the extremes she has to go to.

Savio on the other hand is the unwanted extra son that his family never wanted and even his own Mafia family sort of pushes him out of.
But when an unwanted incident gives him an opportunity to go serve the Pakhan, he is all ready to finally make a name for himself.

Savio has a long way to go before he even gets to a respectable position working for Demetri Sokolov but when a twist of fate lands him in a dangerous situation which could be the opportunity he was waiting for only if he was ready to gamble with his life, he goes for it.

I really felt like I was on a wild rollercoaster not at all able to guess what the next turn would be.
Every chapter felt like a ride that was definitely not going to be a straight path and I loved being shocked and not being able to anticipate what would happen next.

Charlotte had me initially fascinated with her and other times in awe of the things she independently achieved to be her father's pride and then at times she also irked me for she never knew where to draw the line.

Savio and Charlotte sure set the pages on fire even though initially they start slow but mind you even their kisses made me feel like I was ready to melt.
Their Chemistry is wild, raw lust that turns into so much more yet those irresistible desires just keep on getting more insatiable as they come closer.

The feud between the families definitely shocked me and the ongoing drama and action packed turns, kept me on the edge of my seat, at times so scared with all the ruckus and other times just feeling so much for Savio and Charlotte, just wishing they would get their happiness.

Also, I would definitely want to read Demetri's and Katrina's book. They were amazing together and I could feel their special bond like no other.
Also, what was that ending with Dante's mystery girl coming back. I have so many questions about who is she to him and why the Playboy seems to be so emotional over her. Can't wait for his book.

A twisted rollercoaster ride packed with loads of action, drama, high emotions, red hot chemistry and two people equally crazy over each other and in how they act - loved loved this on fire ride.♥️♥️♥️♥️

Steamy mafia, age gap standalone with a Bratva princess trying to convince the Pakhan she'll be a capable heir!

There is so much to this story and it's all thrilling! Throne of Diamonds is a standalone that is the first of this series of interconnected novels. This book focuses on Savio Mancini and Charlotte Solokov. It's full of angst and heartbreaking back stories of the main characters who have to decide that love is worth fighting for and so are they! This is an exciting, fast paced story featuring characters from families introduced in the Sinful books of the Dark Mafia Sins series by the same author.

Although Throne of Diamonds can be read as a standalone or as the beginning of the new Mafia Thrones series, I highly recommend starting with the Dark Mafia Sins series. You'll have a fuller, richer reading experience because you'll know the back stories of all of the characters. The Dark Mafia Sins series introduced the Rossi family and how they are connected to each of the ruling families including the Mancini family. You'll be able to bond to Savio's older brother Romeo who is married to the sister of Charlotte's stepmom (Katrina) who married Charlotte's father Demetri. Boy, were those good stories!

It was knowing those details, having felt those emotions from the earlier series that I read Throne of Diamonds and because I did I was not only reading Savio and Charlotte's story, but I was also reading more about the Mancini family and more about Katrina and Demetri's story. I think it just increased the level of angst and pain and passion and joy I felt while reading Throne of Diamonds. I highly recommend all of Emily Bowie's mafia books!

This is one terrific story with loads of action and drama, quite heavy on the drama actually. I was hooked by the story immediately and found it enjoyable throughout.

With great descriptions, the scenes came alive and there were times when I was reading as fast as possible to see what would happen. The steamy intimacy scenes are almost flammable yet show the immense chemistry between the two lead characters, Savio and Charlotte.

I liked both of these lead characters, they had a bucket load of ambition and confidence, even if Charlotte did have to bulldoze her way into her father’s world to build that confidence. Getting to know Savio took a tiny bit longer but was so worthwhile, Charlotte too. She really came into herself and I like strong female characters.

There were some very interesting twists and turns that totally took me by surprise and at times even shocked me. I love it when a book is unpredictable so this was a definite plus for me. I look forward to reading more in this series.

This book is a little different than other mafia books. Normally is all between the men. In this book it isn’t but they don’t know that. Savio is Italian. He is sent to work with the Bratva. It was supposed to be just a few years but things take a turn. Now eight years later he is leaving prison and set to marry the Pakhan’s daughter, Charlotte. Charlotte wants nothings more than to take over for her father. To be seen as an equal not some little girl who needs to be protected and doesn’t know anything. The last thing she wants when she is so close to getting what she wants is to be married off to some man she doesn’t even know. Savio and Charlotte are actually perfect for each other but neither seem to see it. Charlotte has to think of a new plan now that she is to have a husband. Savio needs to figure out who this Charlie is that keeps going after his boss’s business. Will he figure out who Charlie is before its to late? Will Charlotte takes things a step to far to prove her worth to her father? This book was fantastic. I love the characters so much. Savio and Charlotte may not have originally chosen each other but Savio would do anything for her. Even give her up. There are so many twists and turns in this book. I few things I wished were different but over all I loved this book. Fantastic job Emily. I look forward to reading more books by Emily in the future.

This book was good! There were lots of twists and turns and if this books storyline was spread of multiple books where we really got to see all the fine details and their relationship develop, it would’ve been amazing. This book gives me Sweet Oblivion vibes as well as any other mafia but from different types books. We follow Savio and Charlotte over a few years but manly in one year. Savio is part of the Italian mafia but is sent to work for the Bravta. Charolette is the Bravta princess but after Savio takes the fall for the Italians, Charolette is promised to him. It has lots of back and forth with Charolette and Savio as neither of them go into this marriage willingly and challenges them both to look back on who they are truly loyal to. While it takes them a long time to find their HEA, I'm glad they finally found it. There isn’t a lot of triggers but there is some graphic description on the page toward the main character, so I would keep that in mind. If your new to the mafia world or want a quick read, this book is perfect.

This was a mafia romance that you want to read! Short, sweet at parts and violent at others, with some good plot and spice in the mix that kept you captivated and engaged!

Meet Savio and Charlotte our heroes. I have one question, why the hell was Charlotte's name Charlotte? That's not a Russian name, and I was just confused! Savio was an interesting character, and sometimes (specifically in the beginning) I didn't quite get his loyalty to Demetri, considering that closer to the end he didn't care about anyone but himself and Charlotte.

Now Charlotte was a great character, though I hoped to see more of her and her badassery. As the girl built 2 companies but her achievements were kind of overlooked (in my opinion). She deserved more "screentime" showing off that she deserved to be an heir!

I received an ARC for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.

Even though Savio is Italian he is a member of the Bratva. He is owed a debt for the time he served in prison and now that he is released he is set to marry Charlotte, the daughter of a powerful man within the Bratva. He has a plan when it comes to his marriage and the future but Charlotte was a surprise he didn’t see coming.

Charlotte is used to being underestimated however she is determined to claim her rightful place within the organization. She doesn’t want to beholden to any man and doesn’t want to marry a man she doesn’t know if she can trust but Savio will have her second guessing the plans she has made.

Both Savio and Charlotte had plans for the future and it didn’t included an arranged marriage to each other. They take us on a suspenseful and surprising journey as they realize that despite how they started they are each other’s perfect match.

Although it's not necessary, you will get a better feeling for the characters and their dynamics if you have read Sinful Queen in Mrs Bowie's Mafia Sins series.

Throne of Diamonds was an interesting read. Charlotte was a lot more complicated than I initially gave her credit for. She was very much her father's daughter - wanting to make her mark on her world, show her strengths and leave a legacy.

Savio, I didn't really care for at first, but I learned to love him. His domineering personality was exactly what Charlotte needed in her life.

Their chemistry was on point, the betrayals were brutal and the twists kept on coming.

A great start to a new series

Savio took the fall for a murder he did not commit, and was sentenced to 8-years in prison, and his payment is an arranged marriage with Bratva princess Charlotte, to create an alliance between two mafia families. Savio is intense, dominating, and lethal, while Charlotte is fierce yet naïve, but together they complement each other perfectly. This is a well written story which has combustible and undeniable chemistry, family, secrets, twists, manipulation, emotions, action, intrigue, sacrifices, and is a thrilling and addictive page turner.
I look forward to reading more from this talented author whose work I highly recommend.

This book conflicted me.
I really wanted to love all of it, as there were some fantastic moments that were everything I was hoping for, but I felt the not so great moments let them down.
It will be different for everyone, but for me personally I found that every time I was investing into the plot and characters the steam would ramp up and my feelings would go back to square one.
It's a shame because like I said, I really wanted to love this book from cover to cover.
I know many readers who won't feel the same as I do. I think it also doesn't help that I've already read some top reads by this author so will always have high expectations.
