Aimed at the student, these Reading Guides have many ativities that cover a number of aspects of the play such as character, themes, performance and language in an engaging and accessible way, enhancing students' enjoyment of the text. The Reading Guides are illustrated and have a magazine-style feel to appeal to students. They can be used during the early stages of a Scheme of Work based on the play, or can be built in to lessons as starter or homework materials as reading progresses.
the scene where Macbeth freaks out all of his dinner guests by talking to an empty chair was totally worth the price of admission. his wife is like "ummm don't worry about him he'll snap out of it, would you like some more wine?" and then later she's like "ok yeah actually everyone needs to go home now. right now"
Lowkey this might be one of my new favorite Shakespeare plays - questioning if I have a type of Shakespeare play I like the ones being with king’s downfall both politically and mentally 😬
I was really excited to be able to read this book for school! I'm in my classic lit phase and am just generally into this kind of stuff, and being able to put it on my list of books that I've read was fun! I loved the psychology aspect of it, and the themes it explored regarding guilt and ambition. I would write more, but I've had to write so many paragraphs/essays about this for school that I can't bring myself to write another one haha. Very interesting read! The only thing is the separation of immersion between me and the world Shakespeare builds through the writing. Of course his writing is great, but it's really difficult for me to become completely "in to" the story he's creating, or for me to stop seeing the words, when I have to work hard to interpret it. But of course that can't be helped!
Idk gang. Read it for school. Just added it because I needed to read more for my challenge. It was okay not as good as the other books in Literature atm. It was pretty average, like it’s a play, honestly idk okay.
