I listened to this read by Matthew Perry. That made it hard to believe he is gone. Yet the picture he paints made it clear that he had already escaped death more times than anyone should be able to. Sad but perhaps helpful to anyone who has struggled mentally and with addictions. He was very transparent. what a shame that he didn't make it in the end.

A heartbreakingly honest memoir that will leave you sad and hopeful. I finished the audiobook on the day Matthew Perry died which perhaps made me mourn his death even more than I should have. I hope Mr. Perry was gifted some of the happiness and fulfillment he craved.
incredible book- will be really interesting to now rewatch friends after knowing this context. He struggled for so long and for so long no one had any idea. Also incredibly funny book given the seriousness of the topic. Loved it
What a blessing to hear of Matties writing in his own voice! I am touched that he shared everything that he went through, and truly wanted to help others! So sad to think that perhaps if he was treated with another means as an infant we could have avoided most of his cravings! The family dynamics definitely played a rule! But my heart goes out to his life experiences of his adventures! He was humble enough to want to help others and he let people help himself! He thanked all the people in his life, And displayed a closer, that indeed came to soon! We will miss you Matthew Perry! Because we just got to know you… And you are already now gone!
I feel for him so much. The insecurities he dealt with were relatable. I listened to this book and his sarcasm and sense of humor really came through that way
