Being thrown overboard off a luxury liner by her so-called aunt and cousin was bad enough, but being rescued by a creature that shouldn’t even exist took the cake. Mix in the infuriating man’s insistence she was his “perfect mate” and Dallas had had just about enough. All she wanted to do was to get back to Texas and bring her aunt and cousin to justice before the evil duo could get their hands on her money. But first she had to get past an extremely adamant, extremely horny selkie. Thane was more than satisfied at the mate the Fates had provided for him. Hot and feisty, full of life and a body that made him want to cry. All he had to do was to get the daft woman to see they were destined to be together. Unfortunately, she was human, so Thane had his work cut out for him.
Shara is- well let's just say touched. Born a Marine brat, Shara is a Navy Veteran with a pathological love for men in uniform, chocolate, and heroes that are maybe a touch psychotic. With over seventy-five books in her backlog, Shara has no intention of slowing down any time soon. She's definitely not safe for work, or the kids, or- you know what? She's just not safe.
I stopped at 52% and this was after skimming. This had book had to much internal dialogue; not enough conversations between characters. Would not recommend.
Dallas was forced overboard a cruise ship by her money hungry aunt and her sneaky cousin. The heir of her recently deceased uncle's fortune the women thought that by getting rid of Dallas they would no longer be limited to a monthly allowance equal to what they used to spend in a week but would have access to the entire fortune. Unfortunately for them but luckily for Dallas when Dallas was thrown overboard she drifted into the arms of her true mate; a selkie named Thane. The first problem will be convincing hot tempered Dallas that Thane really does exist and they are destined to be mates. The next one will be in dealing with the women who dared to try to take his mate away from him.
This is a great read for the times when you want a quick read that still allows you the feel of an entire story. Kind of made me want to take a dip in the ocean to see if I could find my own little, erm BIG, selkie.
This was a short story about a selkie who finds his mate in a human after she was thrown overboard by manipulative relatives. Thane instantly recognizes his mate when his body awakens when he finds Dallas in the ocean. He is a bulk of a man who kept his woman isolated on an island until she recognized her mating connection with him. They came together and bonded which made her his forevermore at this point and they came back to the mainland to handle the situation with her relatives and they were handled according to the law of the Otherworld.
there was so much packed into this short story that made it really good. not much room to criticize other than making it longer but even then it was really good as it. shara azod is just brilliant at that.
