Oh my goodness!! I loved this from beginning to end!! I haven’t read anything from this author but I’m so glad I finally got to with this one!!
I loved the beginning of Robin rocking out to a great book! I also loved her response to her brother and their banter! I think Robin is quiet the funny, quirky woman and I couldn’t wait to see what else the book had in store!
I have to say that I was nervous about their previous encounter and what that whole story was but I think their is so much more to them! I was also a little wary of the whole career that he has but I was also eager to see what would happen under the right circumstances!
I swooned so freaking hard at so many moments!! I love that it ended in a bro moment and I loved the friendship Soren has with Milo (Robin’s brother). I am so excited to see what’s next!!

Mi humilde opinión:
Romance con segunda oportunidad/hermana pequeña enamorada del mejor amigo del hermano/bebé sorpresa.
Estaba esperanzada con este romance, además el título me hizo reír: Barbas y bebés, era justo lo que necesitaba para leer algo rápido y dulce pero terminó siendo poco emocionante.
Estaba el tema del amor de la infancia que se guardaban los protagonistas Robin y Soren, el bebé inesperado pero todo esto no me movió. Después de una noche juntos, él se va por ocho meses?! No hay una despedida entre ellos que te deshace, una mínima charla dónde se dicen que se esperarían ni siquiera se mantienen en contacto para seguir con su relación romántica por la manera en que se sentían por el otro, más aún después de su espectacular noche juntos. Estaba la amenaza del código de amigos pero podría haberse manejado de otra forma. Y el hermano Milo? Realmente exageró su reacción al descubrir la relación de su hermana con su mejor amigo. Parecía un niño haciendo un berrinche.
Después de 8 meses lejos por trabajo Soren vuelve y reconecta con Robin como si se hubiera ido una semana. Se entera que será padre cuando llega al baby shower y cree que no es el padre por un momento?! Toda la escena fue ridícula. Yo no sentí la conexión con la pareja, hubo algunos momentos steamy pero no creí que se enamoraron profundamente con bebé en medio.
Realmente quería ver a Robin y Soren enamorarse más allá de la atracción que sentían y no me mostró nada de eso. Él estuvo ausente en la parte más importante y cuando regresó todo se apresuró.
Sentí un vacío en cuanto a sentimientos con este romance que podría haber contado más porque tenía todo para ser dulce y lindo con algo de drama incluido. Lamentablemente no funcionó para mí.

WOW!! Fab*u*lous Absolutely love this one!! I couldn't put this one down. This was a nice quick, short read.
Soren and Robin knew each other growing up, he was her brother's best friend. The families even bought a vacation home in Candy Cane Keys. Robin is headed to Candy Cane Keys after she sells her bar, Beards and Love Letters. Robin wants a different life for herself so she is starting over. When she arrives at her families vacation home it's raining, when she runs inside she decides to take a shower. Soren is standing in the shower and Robin just stares at him. It's been fifteen years since Robin went to Soren on her birthday to tell him how she felt. Soren was alway told by Robin's older brother Miles to stay away from her so he did. Soren took a job out at sea and is gone for several months at a time. After the showers Soren comes to find Robin in the kitchen looking for something to eat. He tells her he'll cook for her, she helps him out and they talk about what they've been doing the last fifteen years. After dinner they sit on the couch and watch a movie, then Robin jumps up suddenly and tells Soren she needs to get to bed. Soren will be leaving early the next morning so he asks her if he should wake her, she asks him how early. Robin can't go to sleep she wants to know if Soren feels the same why she does, so she goes to his room. Robin tells Soren she hopes he doesn't reject her again. Soren tells her he didn't reject her, it didn't go as planned. So she asks him what about now, he walks to her and kisses her. Soren picks up Robin and carries her to his bed. He pleasures her then they make love. The next morning Soren wakes and calls his assistant asking if they can postpone his voyage. He can't get out of it he needs to leave they have film crew and National Geographic waiting for them to arrive. When Robin comes into the kitchen Soren ends his phone call. He tells her the ocean is calling, there filming a documentary and will be gone a few months. Robin tells Soren she'll be here whenever he rolls through, he asks her if she'll move on. She tells him when he comes if she's seeing someone they'll have the talk. Soren tells her he'll come back for her, and Robin can't speak. One Week Later Robin is looking for her backpack and when she finds it she soon realizes she hasn't taken her birth control since she arrived in Candy Cane Keys. She knows that if she's pregnant her brother Miles won't be happy. Eight Months Later, her friends are planning her baby shower so Robin needs to met with them. Soren is heading back to Candy Cane Keys, when he arrives at his families vacation home he sees Robin is having a party. What Soren doesn't understand is the black silhouettes of beards drape across the large wraparound deck. When Soren finds Robin she doesn't look happy to see him. Soren's lung collapse, he can't believe she moved on. Robin walks up to Soren and tells him they need to talk, his vision blurs, so he turns and leaves. After Soren walks a few miles he soon realizes he's been gone nine months. He wonders if he could be the father, she had no way to communicate to him. Soren runs back to Robin, he sneaks up the emergency ladder outside her window. Robin starts to hit him but he tells her to wait, he tells her he's sorry for leaving. Robin tells him she has so much to say she doesn't know where to start. Soren tells her he has two questions for her, the first one is if he can hug her. She tells him he can, then he asks her if he could be the father, and she nods to him. Soren is so happy he's going to be a dad. Soren kisses Robin but then they break apart when they hear Miles, Robin's brother and Soren best friend. Robin tells her brother to calm down they need to talk about this. Robin's brother tells them both he's mad at them both. Robin's brother Miles turns and walks out, then her father comes and tells them he wants a family meeting. When her mom comes in she asks them what she missed Robin tells her that Soren is the father of her baby. Then Robin tells everyone she didn't think it was right for everyone to know who the father was before she had a chance to tell him she was pregnant. That's why she kept the secret of who the father was. Robin's mother is very happy, then they hug her dad comes in for a family hug. Robin's mother asks if it's alright they tell everyone that Soren is the father since everyone is arriving for a baby shower. Soren takes the pressure off of Robin when everyone questions her about him being the father. When the shower is over Soren asks Robin if she got everything she wanted. She tells him she got enough clothes but still needs a few things. Soren asks her if he can get those things for her. She tells him its not just for her its for him and the baby also. Soren asks her if she knows if its a boy or a girl. She tells him she doesn't know but she been waiting for him to reveal it. Robin tells Soren it's written on a card upstairs so he asks her if he can go and get it. When he returns he asks her if they can open it with her parents. When everyone gather, Robin tells him she wanted him to know before everyone. Robin tells him she doesn't know how much he'll be involved since he'll be leaving. Soren tells Robin he's not leaving he asked before he left to be transferred. Then Soren opens the envelope to reveal they're having a boy. A week later, Soren is getting breakfast ready when Robin comes in. She can't believe her eyes, but then she has a pain and her water breaks. Soren rushes her out of the house and into his truck then he grabs her hospital bag. When they arrive at the hospital the nurses take Robin to a room but tells her it won't be long. Both Soren and Miles fight to stay with her, but she tells them not to fight today. Then Robin tells Miles she know she planned to have him in the room when she delivered, but Soren is the father. Robin tells Miles that Soren has a right to be in the room when his son is born. Robin delivers her son and they talk about names for the baby. When everyone comes into the room they announce the weight of their son, then Robin tells everyone they named him Milo Patrick Mathews, after his uncle and his father's best friend. Robin's brother breaks down in tears, then comes to hug them all. After everyone leaves Robin asks Soren if he wants to hold his son. Soren tells Robin he'll never find the words to tells her how incredible she is, and he's proud she's the mother of his child. Six weeks later, Soren's parents come for a visit, his father's been sick and they wanted to make sure he was better before they came. Soren's parents offer to watch the baby while they go and take a nap. Soren and Robin take them up on the offer and head to bed. After a nice long nap, she checks on baby Milo who is having a wonderful time with his grandparents. So Robin goes to take a shower, she finds Soren testing the water, then he tells her it's ready for her. Soren leaves but then returns and hangs a dress on the back of the door for her. He tells her to take as much time as she needs and they'll leave when she's ready. Robin asks him where they're going and Soren tells her for their first date. When Robin comes downstairs Soren's parents tell her they're suppose to send her outback. When Robin catches sight of Soren, she can't believe her eyes. The setting for their first date is perfect, Soren hugs Robin. He reveals a pasta dish, and begin to eat. Soren tells Robin he loves her and she tells him she thought she was going to say it first. Then Robin tells Soren she loves him, then he tells her that he loves her too. Soren asks her if she wants to go on a walk with him. They walk hand in hand along the beach without saying a word. Robin is Soren's person and he can't wait to make her his wife. When they arrive back at their families home they begin to kiss. Beards and Babies is part of the Candy Cane Key series. It's also seems to be part of a larger series by this author that involves men with beards. This is a brother's best friend romance. Soren and Robin have been friends for years, so the attraction was strong between the two. Once night ends up with a surprise baby.
I have mixed feeling about this one. I did love the interactions between Robin and Soren, but being a novella it's just too short for my liking. I wanted more. The other thing that I couldn't wrap my head around was Milo's reaction to the relationship. I thought it was WAY over the top and kind of turned me off the story. I also kind of felt like I was missing a lot of back story. Still, I would recommend it. I did like the couple and the ending was sweet.

Robin sold her bar in the small town of Sycamore Mountain and headed to her family's vacation home in Candy Cane Key to figure out what she wanted to do with the rest of her life. A new start that she is unfortunately making in hurricane-like weather.
She finally arrives at the huge home that her parents and their best friends purchased together years ago. Deciding to call her brother the next day she heads for a hot shower and then head to a much needed bed, but she comes to a dead stop when she opens the bathroom door. Over the thunder and lightning she didn't hear that the shower was already running... and her lifelong crush was standing before her in all his glory.
Soren was only here for one night before heading back to sea to finish the documentary he was filming and the last thing he expected to see when he stepped out of the shower was Robin. His best friend's sister who was totally off-limits. But when he is at their family's vacation home he always sleeps in her room despite their being eight in the huge space. Which has never been an issue since they have avoided each other the past fifteen years.
I loved this book! It is very well written and the characters are fully developed and relatable. Robin has always had a crush on Soren but after an embarrassing moment in high school has avoided him like the plague not realizing that her brother had told him that he could never date his sister.
This is as action packed as you can get in a short story. Robin is holding a secret from everyone and especially Soren who has been out to sea for the last eight months. Totally enjoyed this story and looking forward to reading more from this author.

Loved it
We are back in Candy Cane Keys and this time two childhood family friends are finally going to give into the big feelings they have, but not without a little drama
Robin has been in love with Soren her brothers best friend, forever, but since he rejected her on her 18th birthday she has spent the best part of 15 years avoiding him. It's a shame, the first time she sees him in 15 years, he is naked, in the shower and all those feelings came flooding back - well let's be real, they never left. A storm traps the two alone together and things heat up, but the next day, Soren has to leave, uncontactable for months, when he returns, he is in for a surprise.
I loved this, I have been waiting for this story since Milo (Robins brother and Sirens BFF ) and Meno's story. It is part of the series but can be read as a standalone no problem
These two are just so hot together, they have a deep love and are both a little insecure and petrified of taking Thier relationship to the next level. I loved it. I wish they had, had the courage to make moves when they were younger, especially with how they felt, but then we wouldn't have had this quick, fun and steamy read.

This was a super cute, fast paced romance.
Robin has always had a crush on her brother Milo's best friend, Soren. And Soren has always had a thing for Robin, but she has been off limits since day one because Milo has made it blatantly obvious, he does not want them together and that Robin's crush will not last long.
But, a fateful stormy day 15 years later, Robin and Soren come face to face st her families property and they quickly realize that what they have felt all this time has never left.
Soren has to leave the next day, as he works out of town, and he doesn't know when he will be back.

I wanted to give this book a score of larger than 3.5, but it was really fast paced, I read it in like 30 minutes. And there wasn't a ton of back story or character building, which there was enough to make it a story obviously, but I personally enjoy more "meat" to my books. It was still a really cute story though!

This was a super cute, fast paced romance.
Robin has always had a crush on her brother Milo's best friend, Soren. And Soren has always had a thing for Robin, but she has been off limits since day one because Milo has made it blatantly obvious, he does not want them together and that Robin's crush will not last long.
But, a fateful stormy day 15 years later, Robin and Soren come face to face st her families property and they quickly realize that what they have felt all this time has never left.
Soren has to leave the next day, as he works out of town, and he doesn't know when he will be back.

Beards and Babies is a short and steamy, surprise pregnancy, OTT, instalove, girl gets her brother's best friend romance. Robin is a smart and sassy girl who has recently moved to Candy Kane Key to live in her parent's vacation home. Soren is a hunky sea captain and her older brother, Milo's best friend. Robin and Soren have had feelings for each other since they were young. When she arrives at the vacation home, she walks into the shower to see a very hot and naked Soren. The two give in and have a night of passion, but Soren has to go out to see the next morning with no contact while he is away. Fast forward about 8 months, Robin is pregnant with Soren's child but has not told anyone who the father is. Soren returns. What will happen? Will he be happy? What will Milo say? The chemistry was hot. There was some family drama, but we ultimately got a sweet HEA. I have been waiting for this story since Beards and Bikinis, and it did not disappoint. I loved it!!!.

Because of the length of this book, I don’t think I’ll need to break this down like my other reviews 🙂
If you can not tell from the name of this book there is a precious little baby in this! Trope haters be gone!This is just a quick and fun Saturday read! Everything that happens in this book is like blink and it's over. There was supposed to be some drama with the FMC (brother’s best friend) but it just wasn’t there for me. There isn’t much drama in this book at all actually……There is spice, there are laughs.
All in all I wanted so so so much more. I understand now that this is part of a connected series but I don’t know if I am that invested into reading all of them. I couldn’t figure out why this was called “Beards & Babies” but if you read the entire collection and find out LET ME KNOW! This is my first book by this author and I am excited to see what else they come up with

Robin had a crush on his brother Milo’s best friend Soren growing up but hasn’t seen him for 15 years after an embarrassing incident when she was 18. Now suddenly they find themselves together for one night in their families’ summer home. There is mutual attraction but what about the future? What about promises made to Milo? Well, I liked the couple and the plot but I really couldn’t understand the brother and why he was so angry about his best friend dating his sister. Okay, perhaps when they were teenagers but why, as an adult, would you have a friend you thought was so unworthy? Especially considering Soren was really a complete sweetheart. But if you somehow manage to ignore the Milo angle, or you think for some weird reason that sisters shouldn’t be allowed to date their brother’s best friends, it's an entertaining story.

Robin has had a crush on her brother's best friend Soren all her life, but since she perceived him as rejecting her on her eighteenth birthday, they haven't seen one another for the past fifteen years. When she moves to Candy Cane Key for a fresh start, finding him in their families' shared vacation home brings up all of her old feelings. And after all these years, Soren can't fight his own any longer - even after being warned off all those years ago by his best friend, Milo. But after a steamy night together, Soren is back out to sea and in communicado - while Robin discovers she is pregnant. The fall out when Soren returns to town is steamy, entertaining and laugh-out-loud funny. A wonderful romance well worth a read!

I am voluntarily reviewing a reader copy of this book.
Robin has decided that there is a change needed in her life, so she decides to sell her bar in Sycamore Mountain and head to Candy Cane Key where she plans to stay in her shared family holiday home until she decides the future. She has had many good memories from her childhood but there is also the most embarrassing and painful one of where she threw herself at the only man that she has ever loved her brother’s best friend Soren. It has been ten years since that night, and she has successfully managed to avoid him so when she arrived at her destination and could finally have that shower that she has spent hours dreaming about the last person she had expected to see especially gloriously naked was Soren or that her reaction to him would still be as strong as it was. It turns out that he is only staying one night before he is leaving for eight months, is Robin willing to take a chance and put herself out there with him again for one night only, and will this one night could change her life forever?
Soren is staying at the holiday home that his parents share with his best friend Milo’s family, before he sets off on his next filming expedition tv show. The cabin is a place that he loves for the memories, well all except one. It is one that he has tried over the past ten years when Robin made a move on him, one that he had to reject no matter how much his heart had wanted her, to claim her as his for life, but she was Milo’s little sister and therefore totally forbidden and well truly off limits. He has never forgotten that night nor have his feelings changed, so much so that whenever he stays at the cabin, he sleeps in her room to be close to her. He never thought that she would arrive there unannounced, or catch him in the shower, but he now has the opportunity that he never thought he would have, a chance to make everything right between them, but what actually happens is a night where they give into what has always been meant to be. But he has no choice about leaving the very next day, but Soren is coming back to claim his woman on his return, but will she wait for him, or will he have lost her to another by the time he returns, will his friendship with Milo survive the fallout after all that he discovers on his return?
Although I did enjoy the story I did not feel as much chemistry between Robin and Soren as I would have expected, and Milo’s reaction was way too extreme and did not exactly endear him to readers. I will definitely read more by this author in the future. A solid 4* read.

Beards & Babies. What a great name for a romance novel, right? Anyway this story is about Soren and Robin. He's her brother's best friend and she's been halfway in love with him since pretty much forever. Only she's not the sole one pining in this twosome. He wants her just as badly and there's only been on real obstacle.

I can't say I disliked the story because I didn't. I enjoyed the story BUT...it was very short considering everything that happened. Beards and Babies was a delightful read that I finished in short order, and I'm not going to lie, I really wish there were more pages. Robin has had a thing for her brother's best friend, Soren, but after a bad moment in time when she went out on a limb, they haven't spoken or seen each other in over a decade. She comes home, and it's ironic that the first person she comes across is Soren, and he's very much naked. I'm not going to lie, I loved every minute of Robin's inner monologue during this story as it kept me laughing. Of course that was game on, and they finally did the sexy deed, but as much as he didn't want to leave, he had to go back to his job at sea the next day. Many months later, he comes home & he gets a big surprise. This story was super heartwarming with a kicker of heat so you don't want to pass it by as I HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

Despite the fact that Robin has feelings for Soren years earlier he made it clear that he doesn’t feel the same way. When circumstances unfold and they find themselves sharing the same home for one night she realizes that he might be attracted to her as well and isn’t about to walk away from this second chance.
Soren didn’t want to destroy his relationship with Soren’s brother and his best friend but after their night together he realizes that being with her is what really matters. He spends the next several months trying to find a way back to her however her surprise is even bigger than his surprise return.

But one night these two tell each other the truth which leads to one night of passion because the next day Soren is out to sea for many months. When he finally returns, Soren wants to start a relationship with Robin but she has a surprise for him. Plus what happens when everyone in her family finds out about Robin and Soren night months ago?
This was a cute quick read. I enjoyed reading this one. It wasn't my favorite in this fun series. But I did enjoy reading about Robin and Soren. I look forward to the next one in this series.

Oh my, I could not put it down. Yes, the storyline was short but oh so powerful. This is a author to put on the must read novels list. So, Robin has this crush of her Brother’s Best friend, now you know that’s a avid each other do not touch an off limits situation. However, Robin is at the Candy Cane home an it’s soaking wet an runs to the bathroom to find gorgeous Soren Matthews not only in the shower but about to sleep in her bed. Soren Matthews fights against temptation with a wall around his heart that no woman stood a chance. Sixty percent of the time he is in the middle of the Ocean where he runs to for the next 8 months. Fast read, great storyline, off limits romance. This is a honest review for a ARC.

This is part of a multi author series called Man of the Month Club, Candy Cane Key and can easily be read as a stand alone. Overall well written with just a few minor typos. Main characters are Robin and Soren. Robin has crushed on Soren for years and there is reference to an embarrassing event but we're never really told specifically what happened. Soren is a family friend but more than that he's her brothers best friend and hes been warned to steer clear only the chemistry between them is undeniable and one night together promises to change their lives forever. While short, this book is still full of all the sweet and steamy romance you want!

I loved Beards and Babies Book 9 of Man of the Month Club: Candy Cane Key Series. This is such a great series. This time we have Robin who’s starting over and is shocked to find her teenage crush, Soren, in the family home. The attraction has never left. Soren needs to stay away from Robin, he promised his best friend but darn he wants her. Always has. After a steamy Igor he’s off again foe work but returning he’s in for a big surprise. Can there be a future for Robin and Soren? I loved the storyline and the characters. Such a fun story and a short and easy read. I would definitely recommend this book and the series.

This is a best friends sister/brothers best friend and unexpected pregnancy romance with some other things sprinkled in. There is drama, OTT emotion, family, starting over, second chances, and more all swirled together into a cute but light story. While I did enjoy the underpinnings of the story I found that the book needed another couple rounds with a good proofreader. There were just too many mistakes in such a short story and it not only interrupted the flow of the story but also really irked me.

This a quick delightful read! I do love a brother's best friend romance. Now I'm not gonna lie this book first grabbed me because I'm a September baby so this being the September Man of the Month book was very tempting in itself to read, but then it's a surprise baby and brother's best friend sign me up! Soren and Robin's families are very close and share a vacation home. Soren has always shown his loyalty to his best friend by fighting temptation that is Robin. This time around temptation is too much and they give into their feelings. Soren returns to Candy Cane Key to get the girl , but it in the surprise of his life. This book is packed with heart, heat, and humor.

When they both show up at their shared family beach house one night, they can no longer resist the pull and have one super hot night before he leaves on a boat for at least 8 months.
I loved the way the surprise pregnancy was handled in this story. My favorite thing about novellas is there’s not much time for drama. These two have good heads on their shoulders and I’m hoping to see more of them in the future books!

Robin is a sweet girl. She has been harboring a crush on her brother's best friends for more than fifteen years. She has avoided him at all costs. She moves to her family's vacation home near her brother. I love that she has the adventurous nature a move like that takes. I love how she is all in as soon as she gets the sweet surprise that she is pregnant. Soren is unexpectedly home, at the family vacation house, when she arrives. Their heat is intense. I love their will we or won't we banter. This story is well written. It is a fun read.

The story line was fast paced and it left somethings unanswered for me, like what actually happened that left them not seeing each other for 15 years. But other than that i felt the chemistry between the two and the uncertainty that transpired when he returned home after being way because of work.
I have a feeling if this was a full length novel, it would be an easy 5* read because i liked the tensions between all involved in her love life. But as it is its getting cute 3.5* rating.

This is a fast paced read with Soren and Robin that have known each other all their lives and even though attraction was always there it was also forbidden. Soren is Robin’s brother’s best friend and he never crossed any lines until years later. When these two can’t fight their feelings any longer their chemistry is off the charts. While this was a cute story I really wished we got more about why they spent 15 years ignoring each other. I loved they found their hea but they had some things they needed to work through.
