In their younger days, Maggie, Cassie and Holly were close friends. As adults, they weren’t quite as close but still best friends. This Christmas, circumstances turn all three women’s world upside down. When Maggie inherits her family’s lodge, they decide it would be the perfect place to unwind, relax and get their lives back on track.
Maggie meets the new contractor at the lodge and it’s someone she instantly dislikes. While Holly tries to pick up the pieces of her life which was struck by a tragedy. Cassie, also, has much to deal with when she suspects her husband is cheating on her.
Their escape to Nantucket could be just what the three of them need to get their lives back in order.
What an emotional roller-coaster this book is. Even though they grew apart, they are still close friends and are very supportive of each other. All the characters are well-developed and realistic. I found them all to be likeable. These are real people dealing with real problems.
I really cared what happened to these women, but the story doesn’t end with this book. It’s a cliffhanger that carries over to the next book. This is a short, sweet book and can be read in one sitting. I’m so looking forward to reading the next one.

My first ever ARC and I was not disappointed!! Three friends trying to navigate everything life throws at them and yet still be strong for each other. To brighten spirits, regroup and get some relaxation, the trio heads to Nantucket for Christmas. But of course things don't always go as planned. I can't wait to see where this little adventure goes!!!

Es la primera parte de una trilogía, es un libro muy fino en el que solo se nos presentan a los personajes y circunstancias y cuando está a punto de empezar los líos románticos, se acaba el libro.
Es la típica película romántica de tarde con historia de nuevos comienzos y segundas oportunidades en el amor.

Maggie's father died 1 week earlier, but hasn't told her friends, as they were dealing with Chris's last days on earth.
Cassie, a Jr. Partner in her fathers law firm, the only one of 3 sisters not to make full partner, has been informed by her older sister that she saw Zac(Cassie's husband) at a bar with another woman.
The tragedies of life are getting to them all, so they decide to take a much needed 3 week escape to Nantucket.
Can't wait for the next book!!!!! An excellent read by Amy.

This first book is an introduction to this second chance series which features three best friends who are experiencing life changing situations. Holly has experienced the death of her husband Chris, Cassie suspects her husband Seth of cheating on their marriage, and Maggie’s father has died and left her his hotel lodge in Nantucket. The three best friends set off to Nantucket over the Christmas holidays where surprises begin on the first day. This story ends in a cliffhanger and will continue in the second book.

I really bonded with the three women in this new series. Holly, Cassie and Maggie had been through a lot during the past year. They had been friends since childhood, although they had not seen as much of each other recently. It was nice to see they were going to spend the holiday in Nantucket at Holly Lodge and it appeared it was going to be an interesting one to say the least. I received an advance copy of this book and I willingly chose to write an honest review.

It opens with a funeral, Holly having lost her husband Chris. Her friends Cassie and Maggie are there to lean on, but distance between their relationship has crept in and time passes with them seeing less of each other. Maggie recently lost her father but said nothing. Cassie's marriage is suffering and she is silent.

I am enjoying this novella. Holly, Cassie and Maggie are childhood friends going throw individual turmoil as Christmas nears. Death of loved ones and the imminent breakup of a marriage will bring on a blanket of depression but these three ladies soldier on in the face of these obstacles.
I can't wait to read the next instalment.

Great Start to the Series!!
I really enjoyed this first book! The characters, each one with their own story, are well described. The scenes are easy to visualize. I can't wait to see what happens next! Do the girls have a good vacation or do their plans change? I would recommend this sweet romance to all!

If you can get past the problematic, unnecessarily secretive 3 main characters and overly PG word choice (ex. Pain in my ?eye?, they try to make “fetch” happen, and what grown burly man uses words like “delightful” when they meet someone for the first time???), then it might bring some Christmas magic.

I am enjoying this story about three friends taking a trip to Nantucket. Each one of them has their own set of problems. But there is problems when they get to Nantucket. This is great story with wonderful writing skills. Thank you.

What a great holiday read! The book has such a great storyline, it's going to be fun seeing where it goes.The characters are well developed and realistic with a lot of emotion.I love the friendships in this story. It"s going to be fun to see the journey everyone takes. Can't wait for the next book!

I really like this story but it was hard to find a flow at first, then it took off into a great read. The characters are supportive and friendly . I can't wait to see what happens in the next book. I recommend this book

This is short Christmas read! I know it’s after Christmas but I have them all in my Libby library! This is about friends older in life going through lots of real life adult problem. I enjoyed this book!
