Our memories. They instruct us, guide us, help us distinguish wrong from right. They are, in a way, all that tethers us to the reality of our world. If our memories betray us, how do we know what's real anymore? How do we know who to trust? To love? To hate?
Sam Richards' wife has been killed. He knows who did it---and he's not going to rest until the debt has been settled.
very clever story of revenge where a man deliberately gets himself sentenced to prison so he can access the man who caused his misery, what he does to the guy is , well, lets just say he used broken glass, fish hooks and some wire in ways that would make Clive Barker proud, now this plot would be old hat if not for some very creative surprises i cannot ruin for you. i got the hardcover but its so hard to find, buy this on kindle for a lot cheaper, part 2 of a set of 6 books i am halfway through reading, having a blast reading them too. i would read more by Mr Lestewka
Good little yarn from Nick Cutter. I can't lie - my favourite aspect of this was that it was set in Kingston Pen. But there's a good story of revenge here with an ending that I saw coming but I didn't care. The journey getting there was what mattered.
I searched forever to find a hardcopy of any book by this pen name. I finally found one and it was this book. I very much enjoyed it, it was dark and brutal and for a short novella was a well told story. Well written and hints of Nick Cutter in there. Highly recommend if you can find a copy.
Imprint starts out with a man who has imprisoned himself, intentionally, so he could get revenge on the killer of his wife. At the start of this story we are introduced to the man, after he has killed his wife’s killer. So we start at the end and then it tells the story of how he got there.
As we go along, we find out more and more that the situation is not as simple as it seems. So after a few twists, we end with another twist. So, all these revelations were a lot of fun. This was a pretty intelligent book, I liked it!
