Presents articles both supporting and opposing issues related to renewable energy, including what is renewable energy, if it is beneficial to the environment, and how the government should regulate it.
This series, Opposing Viewpoints, has some promise, but it's not there yet. This book is a collection of articles that are very pro-topic or very anti-topic. I was hoping for more of a back and forth debate style, like question / answer / follow-up.
Reading 12 pages of why ethanol is the super panacea, followed by 12 pages of why ethanol is a step on the road to ruin, doesn't help me a whole lot. Granted, I shouldn't look for the answer to something as large in scope as renewable energy in 200 pages.
I really like the format of this book -it is full of differing viewpoints about the prospects and realities of renewable energies. I love how it has various informed-reason based opinions all around one topic. Pure discourse, I love it.
