Masashi Tanaka (田中政志) is a Japanese manga artist best known for Gon, his silent manga starring a miniature dinosaur. He began publishing Gon in 1991. He later worked on the game Street Fighter EX.

Recensire Gon? Il Mangasauro? La "chinata" divinità di lunghe notti insonni spese nel tentativo di cogliere ogni singolo tratto, segno, delle sue stupefacenti tavole? L'immagine che cancella la parola? Il ritorno all'origine, ma senza fraintendimenti di senso? Naaaaaaaaaaaaaa! Non si può, non posso... Nemmeno in Goodreads si può trovare tanta temerarietà... che direste delle pitture rupestri? Le recensireste? A parte esprimere un'opinione, il resto sarebbe, se non altro, "strano". E sì che tutte le parole di tutte le culture di tutti i tempi e i mondi possibili (intesi come mondi che vivono in parallelo nella nostra realtà, poiché, a ben guardare, le diverse culture esistenti sono sviluppi diversi e, a volte, persino contraddittori, di stessi segni primari comuni e persino "universali" ... la matematica del colore di Mondrian, eheheh!) nascono da quelli, in fondo, non da quegli stessi, certo, ma da segni appunto simili a tal punto da sembrare gli stessi e risultare infine universali poiché incredibilmente comuni in molte culture lontane fra loro per spazio e tempo. Ok, m'incasino, confondo, e c'è chi mi dirà che solo chi ha chiaro un concetto lo può semplicemente palesare, ma, per me, non c'è nulla da chiarire in Gon né da dire, anche se forse ho detto fin troppo per dire che non potrei dire niente a parte esprimere un'opinione positiva che ho già fatto tramite le stelline!!! Passatemi la "review" ... sono un'entusiasta e, quando qualcosa mi piace così tanto come Gon, sono come i bimbi dinanzi alla più bella delle sorprese: cercano di dure tutto, tutto insieme, e le parole s'accavallano ed escono cose come questa recensione. :) Incomprensibili!!! Chiedo venia e passo la mano.

Zum Abschluss zieht Gon einen Sturmvogel groß. Außerdem besucht er eine Orang-Utan-Familie und sammelt Honig. Geht mit Gon auf Safari in wunderschönen und atemberaubenden Bildern! Und das ganz ohne Text!

Auch dieses Cover ist wieder schön anzusehen. Wir haben hier Gon mit seinem Vogelküken, das er adoptiert hat und die beiden scheinen ein super Team zu sein - gleich ernst blicken sie jedenfalls drein.



Eigener Eindruck:

In seinem letzten Abenteuer zeigt Gon uns noch einmal, was es heißt ein guter Dinosaurier zu sein. An einem Strand findet er - eigentlich beim schlafen - ein Ei und just in diesem Moment schlüpft das Küken. Da Gon der erste ist, den es sieht ist Gon fortan dessen Bezugsperson. Doch Gon hat so gar keine Ahnung davon, wie man sich als Vogelpapa benimmt. Zeit sich bei anderen Vogeleltern Tricks abzulauschen, gegen Fressfeinde zu kämpfen und vielleicht doch nicht so ganz der Übervogelpapa zu sein. Außerdem geht Gon in den Urwald, wo er bei der Orang-Utan-Familie nicht nur mit den leckersten Früchten gefüttert wird und mit ihnen von Baum zu Baum schwingt, sondern auch noch lernt, was es heißt seinen Körper zu stählen. Außerdem macht sich Gon mit seinen Freunden auf den Weg, um Honig zu sammeln. Das ist aber gar nicht so einfach, wenn die Bienen ihren Honig nicht abgeben wollen und Gon samt den anderen Tieren immer wieder mit ihren Stichen in den Weg kommen. Doch Gon wäre nicht Gon, wenn er nicht für jede Situation die passende Lösung hätte.

Auch in diesem siebten Band kann der Leser in die detaillierte Tierwelt abtauchen und sie mit Gon zusammen entdecken. Es gibt spannende und traurige Momente. Der Mangaka hat sich weiterhin sehr viel Mühe mit seinen Zeichnungen gegeben, sodass jedem Fan von Anime- und Mangazeichnungen regelrecht das Wasser im Mund zusammen läuft. Jedes Panel ist einfach ein Erlebnis! Ganz ohne Worte erzählt der Mangaka die Geschichte, indem er mit seinen imposanten Bildern arbeitet. Es ist einfach ein Fest für die Augen und wird nicht langweilig. Wirklich super gemacht.

Visual storytelling yang sukar untuk dijelaskan, sunguh luar biasa, ketika sebuah cerita dapat diceritakan melalui penggunaan penggambaran saja. Gon adalah salah satu masterclass tentang cara menarik cerita lewat panel2 gambar tsb. Melalui artwork yang sugoi dan bagaimana Masashi Tanaka sensei dapat menampilkan emosi melalui seni menghidupkan cerita.

21. Gon Raises a Chic
It was without doubt my favorite chapter of the entire volume and even one of my favorite Gon chapters ever. Kinda brutal at times, but also with comedic and beautiful moments sprinkled throughout lol Felt so bad for Gon's seagull baby. He's an awful parent.

22. Gon Has Fun With an Orangutan Family
It was fine. Cute. I love how the seagull was still in the picture and didn't just get dropped at the end of ch. 21.

23. Gon Does Some Physical Training
My least favorite of the volumes. If it wasn't for the title I think I would've been confused as to what Gon and the orangutan were up to.

24. Gon Collects Honey with his Friends in the Forest
Reading this one was kind of painful because of all the bees lol Overall fun though. Loved seeing the variety of animals.
