Born in Turkey, Zaimoglu migrated with his parents to Germany in 1965. He is a poet and visual artist, and his central themes are the problems of the second and third generation of Turkish immigrants to Germany.

A typical book by Feridun Zaimoglu: observant, hard, direct, and - in this case - not without a big chunk of irony and sarcasm.
