A good start to this series. Lev is all alpha. A no nonsense kind of man. But something about Aurora that gives him pause. Aurora is tough, stubborn and determined. Although Lev is smitten with his “Solnishko”, he likes the challenge she gives him but his patience only goes so far. Aurora doesn’t back down to him. She’s determined to show him that he may be “the devil”, but she’s not afraid of him. These two have great chemistry without a doubt. It’ll be interesting to see how things continue in part two. Scarred Devil gets two thumbs up from me!!!

Vacuous
Unusual writing style as you read what characters think about doing but not much action or follow through. Scenario moves and there are disconnects in flow of the story. New author for me so I might not be used to her style of story telling.
Story has potential and I will try book two since this one was a cliff hanger. The male is twelve years older than his new wife but they both exhibit extremely childish behavior. The back and forth conversation is boring. There is a hint of mafia trouble but the author never gets to the point. Maybe the next book will expound on subjects .

This delicious dark mafia romance is a fabulous start to the Ivanov Bratva series. It is a tale of betrayal and vengeance. Lev’s family is slaughtered when he was 14. This tragedy sets the tone for the way Lev lives his life. Lev becomes attracted to and forces a marriage with the Italian mafia princess Aurora. Aurora although attracted to Lev, she is also terrified of his Reputation as a heartless devil. I love Aurora’s strong and fiery character and that continually challenges Lev. There is intense chemistry between them and intensity of her desire terrifies her. But Lev is on the brink of a mafia war and everything is threatened. The story ends on Cliffhangar and I am eager to read the continuing story in “Fierce Sinner”. I really enjoyed the intensity, the sensual scenes and suspense in this first part of the story. I received an Arc for an honest review.

Lev and Aurora is a very badass couple and I love strong Mafia couples. The Bratva and Italian mafia dynamics were on point. I even have couple characters that would love to read their own stories, which I love when authors write interesting side characters. Not many is able to do that! I loved Aurora’s whitty and strong attitude and Lev being such a hard character, I cant wait to see their melting to each other even more!
I will absoultely read the next in series!
It was much shorter than the books I am used to but the action and the plot was there. Someparts were rushed and could be longer but I think we will get the main story in the next book!
I dropped a star because of the rushed ending. This could be a bit longer with the same outcome.

I don’t even know why I finished reading this book.
The story could have been good but all I saw was a a childish FMC that keeps saying that she hates her life and what’s coming to her but does nothing to change it topped with an infuriating personality and an MMC that think he can use people as he want and dispose of them.
Normally I would be intrigued to read the next book as this story ended on a cliffhanger but really I have no desire to read another 200 pages about two people that are supposed to be mature but act like children

This is book 1 and wow what a start to a new series and if you enjoy a thrilling mafia story than these books are for you and yes they end on a cliffhanger which I’m not a fan of but the books comes very close together that you didn’t notice. Lev Ivanova is the leader of the Bratva mafia after his whole family was murder when he was young boy by the evil Eduardo Caruso the leader Mexican mafia and not long after Lev ordered his men to kill them all and he was there to help out and now he is called the Devil and feared by all and when Fernando Deluca the leader of the Italian mafia offers him a deal he cannot refuse and he doesn’t. Aurora Deluca was sent away from home at 14 to live with her Aunt who was very strict and now her father has called her home after 22 yrs and Aurora knows this will not end well it never does where her father is concerned. Now standing before her father he is short and to the point telling her she needs to dress better and that she will be marrying Lev Ivanova and a dinner is planned for her to meet him but she tells her father no and they argue but he tells her it’s a done deal and walks out furious and is now locked in her room so she cannot leave. Not being able to leave she is dressed up and she driven to the dinner to meet the devil himself and her husband to be. How does there dinner go and does Aurora convince Lev that getting married is a bad idea or not. Bring on the next book

mentally scarred
Wow! I can’t believe I hesitated about reading this book. The blurb and reviews I read didn’t do it justice. I always rate a book I’ve finished but rarely leave a review, however Lisa’s personal note at the end hit me deep.
I read around 3 mafia romance books a week (minimum). We all have different likes etc but for me this book had all the things I like. And has me staying up reading into the early hours. Literally couldn’t put it down which is rare now as I’ve just read so many they were starting to feel the same!

Liked it, but after reading Lisa’s note and her explanation on how it came about just summed up why this book is special.
I don’t like to give spoilers but if I was to find any fault (which is not normally something I find hard!) is that the female lead aurora whines a bit too much for me. I saw some complaining about it split in 3 and should of been one book. But I felt it was right to split in 3 as the cliff hangers were needed. The book starts out with a bang. You are introduced to Lev, son of the Russian Mafia. Lev quickly learns at a young age not to trust or count on anyone but himself. After losing his family to the Mexican Mafia, Lev quickly earns the nickname "the Devil". Now an adult and head of the Russian Mafia, he has made a deal with the Italian Mafia to marry the mafia boss's daughter. Lev doesn't want to marry but he needs to have a heir.
Aurora De Luca, is the daughter of the Italian Mafia. She is nothing more than property to her father. After her mother left, she was sent to be raised by her aunt. Aurora knows nothing of the arranged marriage to Lev until the day she is summoned back home.
Aurora is adamant that the marriage not take place but Lev is just has adamant that it does even though there is danger at every turn.

The Ivanov Bratva is run by Lev. He is known as the Devil and is feared by many in the mafia world. Lev struck a deal with Aurora's father years ago to marry is only daughter. Only thing is, her father never told her. She has been living with her aunt for the last ten years. When she is called back to her home, she never dreamed it was to take part in an arranged marriage. Lev considers it a business transaction and never wants any love. Aurora though is not happy and will not go down easily. There is good banter, and it will be interesting to see what happens with their relationship.

This was so good. The first book in the series.
This was about Aurora, the daughter of a Mafia boss sold to the Russian Mafia boss, Lev for marriage against her wishes.
This was hot, steamy and wonderfully dramatic.
Lev, aka the Devil certainly lived up to his name but underneath you can tell he had a soft side just waiting to come out for her.

Be ready for a cliffhanger ending.
This is book one of the Ivanov Bratva series and ends on a cliffhanger. Lev made a deal to marry Aurora as part of an agreement to stop fighting with her father. Aurora has not seen or heard from her father in a decade and no all of the sudden she is being summoned home by him. When she finds out it is because he has arranged a marriage for her with the devil himself she is furious. She soon comes to realize what the devil wants, the devil gets and Led wants Aurora.

I should have known!!
I’m not a fan of cliffhangers. I just have too many TBR on my list. I tend to forget to keep up with when the next one is dropped. That being said, I got sucked into this story not knowing it was a cliffhanger! This was so good, hot, steamy attraction with Lev and Aurora. Aurora is a spitfire and a challenge to Lev. The battle of wills is great to witness. Luckily for me, all three books have been dropped, yay!! I’m gonna finish the series, it promises to keep me on my toes.

This is a Russian dark mafia romance that is emotional, intense, gripping and a little dark. Aurora is our female mc, the daughter of an Italian mob boss, Lev our male mc is the leader of the Bratva and Aurora has been promised to him in marriage, something that she was never told. It’s full of suspense, danger, betrayal and hopefully a mutual attraction that will bring them closer. It will be interesting to see where this all goes.

Just when it was getting good the cliffhanger ending jump out; SURPRISE! Book two is needed. She thinks she is just going home to her mob fathers for a visit, little does Aurora know she has to marry the Devil. Good first book of the series. Ends in a cliffhanger.
Starts off with action. Aurora is forced to marry Lev, and their troubled pasts cause tension. Aurora stands up to Lev, but at times, pushed him too far. Lev can be overbearing. They need to communicate better. There are steamy scenes, violence and action. I will read the next book.

Where has this book been all my life
Read it in less than a day cuz I could not put it down.. she describes the main character Lev so well and it's not some stupid cheesy want to be gangsters , you know this man is a badass. Aurora OMG she's got balls of steel going up against

Aurora is the daughter of the De Luca mafia din and he has arranged a marriage between her and Bratva boss Lev Ivanov . Aurora won’t go lightly she digs her heels in at every stop but it just excites Lev even more.

I don’t like novellas bec they feel like rushed work most times. But this series is exactly what you want! It’s a fast read with intrigued, murder, romance, and a scorching plot! It builds and builds and leaves you on a cliffhanger like nooooo give me more! So dang good!

Short but sweet
Things moved fast in this book, it felt like you missed a couple of pages during the story telling. Aurora character was a little weak but feisty. But I’m hoping she gets a little stronger in part 2. Enjoyed the read

Fairly boring and ended up skimming most of the last half of the book.

Enemies to lovers
I am an absolute fan of dark mafia romance forced proximaty. This book gave it all to me and I am looking forward to the second book
