Sequel series to Used, Rare and Limited Editions

Desmond and Wyatt, Archie and Dave are back, as are their overlapping relationships. Archie and Dave have moved in together, bought a fire station to remodel and live in, and the four men are making their way as best they can.

Des and Dave are as eager to explore each other as possible, both physically and as human beings with dissimilar but complimentary interests. Wyatt, however, has a concern or two. Can Desmond Chase find the balance between being a Dom to Wyatt and an equal to Dave? Can Dave carve out a place where he's just as strong as Des? And can the four of them maintain the all too necessary lines of communication?

I live and write in eastern Canada. I went to a bunch of schools, learned a lot of things, and now make stuff up because not to do so is unthinkable. I'm fond of fountain pens, Levenger's Circa system, and Steampunk fashions.
I'm inspired by the day to day minutia of life, and find beauty in the way words go together. I like texture and richness of experience. I'm not shy. I'm happy, I'm learning, I'm living.

Archie and Dave have purchased an old fire station to be remodeled as their new home together, the next step in their relationship that continues to deepen and strengthen. Desmond and Wyatt are by their sides, providing support and excited anticipation over the growing relationships that exist between the two couples.

Des continues to spend more time with Dave, a relationship where he is on equal footing with a partner instead of being the Dom who is always in control. It is a role that is very different from the one he used to with Wyatt, and both are innately part of his character. Des must find the right balance between the two relationships. Wyatt continues to be Des's priority and he is determined to make sure that his submissive partner is happy with the new relationships, and getting what he needs from both Des and Archie.

The boys from the Used, Rare and Limited Editions Chaser series are back and better than ever. Where the first set of stories was told from Dave's point of view, this first story in the new series is told from Des's point of view. The introduction to all four men was perfect as told through Dave's eyes, the most decidedly "unkinky" one of the bunch. Readers were given a full picture of all men, learning how Dave is different, and yet the same, and how both of the two couples fit so well together.

Bid is yet another wonderful addition to the overall series, which revisits characters that are endearing and captivating. As this story is told from Des's point of view, there is a stronger D/s aspect. In previous stories the relationship between Des and Wyatt was alluded to but we were rarely given a chance to really see how the two men interacted with one another. Here we are finally able to spend time with them in their home, seeing how Wyatt serves Des totally and completely. They have a deep and intense relationship, one that is mutually rewarding and filled with respect and love. The D/s in this story is very light and does not include any scenes, although there are mentions of what Wyatt and Archie do together to pass the time. Instead the real focus is on the emotional aspect of the D/s relationship between Des and Wyatt, and the trust, dedication, service and love that exists in their relationship.

The situation that exists between these men is a unique one, and it is captivating in that it is not simply an orgy with all four falling into bed together. Desmond and Wyatt are in a devoted Dom/sub relationship; Archie and Dave are equal partners and lovers. Desmond and Dave are fascinated with one another and the connection between them continues to grow; Archer has an outlet for his dominant tendencies with Wyatt who is thrilled to be the focus of his attention. Each man benefits from the additional relationship outside of their respective partnership, and they have created a wonderful balance that is both intriguing and intense. Des describes it best in my favorite part of the current story.

"They had each other and passion, and they had partners who were understanding. It wasn't for everyone and not many people would understand it. It was a custom situation, and he and Dave would tailor it as they went along."

With the first three stories, I fell in love with these characters and greatly enjoyed the chance to spend more time with them and to see a slightly different viewpoint as well. I look forward to the next few stories to see what directions they will take, and how all four men will continue to adapt to the intertwining of their relationships. I recommend starting with the Used, Rare and Limited Editions stories first before reading Bid to fully understand the relationships between all four men. You won't be disappointed!
