As a foreign correspondent for The Guardian and the London Daily Mail, he has traveled to forty-six countries, three times circumnavigated the world, and interviewed everyone from the former Cassius Clay to the Dalai Lama.

A decent overview of the heyday of ocean liners. There’s nothing here that you couldn’t get from another source, but the pictures are attractive. You can also easily find the documentary series on YouTube that accompanies the book.
