"Close Range: A Hard-Boiled Crime Thriller" is the third book in the Rick Malone series written by Russell Williams. On this occasion, Detective Malone finds a group of criminals committing a crime. He thinks he can stop them and solve everything, but it's harder than it seems. Things get complicated and Malone is trapped; can he solve the issue at hand and catch the criminals?

What I liked most about this series is that the books can be read independently. In my opinion, this point is fundamental because it helps reader to have continuity with the reading, even if it is not in order. I certainly recommend this police thriller.

Another Rick Malone

Detective Malone is minding his own business when he stumbles across some strange happenings. Determined to put things to right, he goes after the criminals in order to bring them to justice and save the hostages. Things don't go according to plan, however.
Good book, fast paced crime drama with plenty of action and smart characters from the good to the bad guys. No bumbling clowns that are easily taken down, our main guy has to actually work to figure out how to accomplish his goals. Another great Rick Malone serial book.
