I'd forgotten just how much I enjoy Peter Turnbull's mysteries. The P Division are especially enjoyable. They are beautifully crafted police procedurals with a large ensemble cast of characters. No one character seems to come up on top.

Glasgow (Scotland) also plays a prominent part and not necessarily in a good way. They show the city in all its grit.
