I really enjoyed this book. I now live about 20 miles away from the "Brown Mansion," and I loved taking the tour. (I bring visitors here, too.) This book made the history of Coffeyville, and Violet Brown herself, come alive for me.

I actually know the woman who wrote this book and was given it to read personally by her. It is very well written and was a good read about Violet's life in Coffeyville. Having grown up in this area, I found it very interesting to read about the history of the town.

I really enjoyed reading about Violet and her life in the late 1800's. Would recommend this to anyone who enjoys reading about real people.
