Sidney has it he's a gorgeous, sought-after male model, and he lives with Alan, who worships the ground he walks on. He's surrounded by friends and luxury. His life may not be conventional, but he's happy. Then Alan is murdered, and Sidney is arrested for the crime. All evidence points to Sidney, but the detective assigned to the case is sure they've got the wrong man. Detective Greg Wilson is convinced of Sidney's innocence, but is it because he's falling for him? Can Greg solve the case bef
Inspired by the important things in life: beauty, love, and passion, Jade has spent several years writing erotic fiction. The forbidden nature of homoeroticism has been the basis for many megabytes of fiction that has delighted a wide circle of online readers.
I really like Jade Falconer's books. I know she's not for everyone, and for most people, her books are more like a guilty pleasure to read. I know she's one of mine.
Is this the best murder mystery I've ever read? No. Did I figure out who really killed Sidney's boyfriend before the end of the book? Yes. But, I still loved every minute of it.
Sidney is a fashion model who is beautiful, self-centered, spoiled, a little bratty and in his own words "slutty" at times. Even though Sidney displays some bad behavior at the beginning of the book, believe it or not, I still loved him. He does evolve as the book changes and makes a huge effort to change and be a better person; especially for Greg.
Greg is the detective working on Sidney's boyfriends case. Of course the moment he first lays eyes on Sidney it's love at first sight. He's conflicted between his feelings for Sidney and being unbiased with the case. He's pretty straight-laced, serious and not the greatest communicator in the world, but I thought he was a perfect match for Sidney.
This book was a fun read. Perfect for an easy read on a stressful day. There is a very interesting secondary character named Chris that I hope Jade will write a story for.
Sorry, but this has the most unappealing characters I've read.
My one star is for that, not for the story as I could only make it up to halfway through chapter 3 when Greg turns up at Sidney's place to arrest him. I found Greg's character downright ridiculous for a detective and if I can't respect the protagonists, it's impossible for me to enjoy the story. I aborted this at chapter 3 feeling that Detective Greg ought to be fired.
When you write a novel about an investigation, at least, do a minimum of research about how it's supposed to work. I stop before finishing chapter three. That's probably the most stupid, pervert, non credible cop of the universe. And Sidney...blah! They said that 'all the evidence point to him'. What evidence??? The guy do no seems to have an alibi and he is his the sole beneficiary of Alan. Wow, talk about proof!!!
Frankly, I don't understand how is it that this thing was published. Completely amateur.
I'm sure it's competently written, but it's just p0rn, imo. Very disappointing and quickly became boring, so I did not finish this one. If there was plot, you'd have to hunt for it. Sorry, Jade; I have enjoyed your writing in the past, but maybe my tastes have changed. Sex scene after sex scene, with little personal connection that I could see, just do not make a book for me.
Well, this m/m romance about a cop investigating the murder of a slutty model's sugar daddy might've been better if half of it was cut out - I'd recommend the extremely repetitive scenes in which our two heroes gushed lovingly at each other over and over and over, ad nauseum.
