Finally. This book took me so long to finish simply because of the length and the lack of time I have had lately. Originally I began reading this book because a friend of mine wrote it and I do look up to them in many ways and I am glad to say I was not disappointed. I’ve never been to interested with the time travel aspect of science fiction but this book brought a new perspective to the topic. I’m a sucker for phrasing and metaphors and I was delighted to see that in this book. Throughout the whole story you as the reader are presented with several different paths to let your mind wander down, while at the same compelled to hope for certain things to happen (i won’t say since I don’t want to spoil anything). Luci was such an easy character to follow along with and by the end of the book I am so happy with the ending. Before even finishing it I was texting the author saying I hope one thing specifically happened and fortunately I got what I asked for. Overall, this book started out as me supporting a friend but ultimately turning out to be a stupendous read. The story was very interesting and well written, the characters were intriguing and provided with enough back story to allow you to understand them and the story/setting so much more. As well as the theme of time travel was presented very methodically adding that extra depth to the story! Definitely enjoyed this book and am glad I finished it!

I ordered this book because the author's mother mentioned it on FaceBook, and I'm glad I did. The main character, Luci Gaudiano, was very engaging and interesting. You really felt that you knew her and were able to empathize with her and her challenges. The other characters were also well-drawn and believable. Even though I would not ever be able to verify the mathematics and science that the author referenced to explain the advent of time travel technology, it brought a sort of scholarly premise to the tale. I was quite pleased that the author told the story in such a way that he was able to describe the time singularities and the potential dangers of changing the time line without getting me confused. I was totally able to follow all the story line and understand what the action that was taking place. I thought the ending was well written and unexpected and left all the ends tied up. As a long-time Science Fiction and time travel fan, I would recommend this book to other SciFi enthusiasts.

Drift Pattern is a book full of twists and suspense. I’m not usually a fan of science-fiction, but the story of Luci G is so compelling that I almost forgot I was reading science-fiction. And the ending was worth the wait!
