Reverand Nedra Davis and her husband, Sinclair Reasoner, find their happy family threated by the sudden appearance of a mysterious stranger and a deceptive woman--both of whom set in motion a chain of events that could destroy everything. Original.
I'm a native of Indianapolis, Indiana and I honed my craft after moving to the San Francisco Bay Area where I worked as a reporter, a reviewer, columnist and an entertainment editor. I've written hundreds of articles, profiles and interviews for both newspapers and magazines. I also served as the producer and writer of a weekly cable television series, "Getting By" as well as served as the producer and hostess of my own Bay area radio show titled "Bay Arts Beat".
I love writing plays almost as much as I love writing novels. I've written 21 plays, 19 of which have been produced in theatres throughout the United States. My play, The Trip, has been published in two play anthologies: Center Stage: An Anthology of 21 Contemporary Black Playwrights (University of Illinois Press) and Black Women's Blues: A Literary Anthology, 1934-Present (G.K. Hall & Co.). In 1993 I was nominated for a L.A. Dramalogue Award as Best Original Writer for a Comedy, for The Trip, and in 1995 I was thrilled when my play Stoops won the Black Theatre Alliance Award (BTAA) for Best Play (an ETA Creative Arts production, Chicago, Illinois). I won the BTAA for Best Original Writing for Stoops.
I hold a B.A. degree in social work from Indiana University and a M.A. degree in Sociology from Atlanta University. I have one child and I live in the Midwest. That's about all there is to tell you about me except that I love to write.
If you are looking for a fun light hearted book to relax your mind and take away stresses, this is the book for you. It was a pleasure to meet the Reasoner family. Nedra and Sinclair (nickname Sin) have a happy loving marriage, wonderful close friends, and three adorable adopted children. Life could not be better. Until a letter arrived in the mail that their adopted son, Trevor Johnson Reasoner, biological father wants to establish full custody. He was not aware of the child's birth and once informed started to petition the court. This turns the Reasoner household upside down.
Sinclair turns to the streets of Oakland, CA to find out more about Royce Sinclair, the biological father, to save his son from been removed from his home. Nedra turns to her faith in God and the legal system that cannot possibly allow this to happen. Colin Reasoner, their oldest son, finds out that he can trust his parents only after a misguided incident that he misinterpreted. He was very close to losing it all.
Five year Gillian kept her special place in the family as the favorite child. Prayed to God on the rock formations that appeared to be a gateway to heaven on the cusp of the sea for her brother not to be taken away. She was the meddling little sister who spied on her brother, Colin, and spoiled his to plans to run away by telling her mother what she knew only to avoid punishment herself. A cast of long time friends aid and comfort the Reasoners as they fight the biggest battle of their lives. Enjoy Reading. A Good Read.

"My opinion is not needed and it wasn't asked for. Sharon says she is married and that's it."
"Are you kidding?" Sharon couldn't keep the surprise out of her voice. "Your husband's good-looking, rich, romantic, and he loves you to death. What's not perfect about that?"
How this joker had fathered a child as wonderful as Trevor was beyond his comprehension.
