Morgan Jones, Mojo to his friends, loved his life. He and his long-time partner, Jasper had the best of both worlds. While they loved each other exclusively, they were also free to bring women into their bed. When Mojo spots April in Club Maverick, he knows he has to have her.
When April Lawson sets eyes on the large bald bartender, she thinks she's died and gone to heaven. Even the fact that Mojo has a partner doesn't deter her from what she craves. All she wants is to be in Mojo's bed, as soon as possible. The thought of sleeping with two men is new and exciting for the small town girl and April jumps feet first into sex with both men. But that just might lead to a broken heart.
Over the years, Jasper has shared Mojo with many different women, but he senses April is different. He begins to wonder if they'll be able to walk away with their bond intact or if the affair with April will forever change the face of their relationship.
Publisher note: This book is connected to Joey's First Time, although it can be read as a stand alone book.
This was a pretty good hot short story. When April Lawson sets eyes on the large, bald bartender, she thinks she’s died and gone to heaven. Morgan Jones, Mojo to his friends, loves his life. He and his long-time partner, Jasper, have the best of both worlds. While they loved each other exclusively, they are free to bring women into their bed. When Mojo spots April in Club Maverick, he knows he has to have her. I wish that this book was longer although it did cover a lot their was hot sex scenes. April who was insecure about her weight she found her sexy with Mojo and Jasper. If you are looking for a short quick m/m/f this is the book for you. This is also my first time reading this author I am looking forward to reading more of her work
On April’s first visit to Club Maverick in Tulsa with her friend Joey, she meets Morgan Joseph Shearing - Mojo - the man who has been burning her ear up on the telephone for the past few weeks.
She has returned to Tulsa to spend the weekend with not only Mojo, but his partner Jasper as well. Instant attraction is what happened between Mojo and April on her last visit and from the smooth sound of Jasper’s voice on the phone she is on her way to being addicted to Jasper as well.
While Jasper has shared Mojo with other women over the years, there is something about April that makes them both go weak in the knee, but is Jasper ready to test the strength of his relationship with Mojo? Is April prepared for all that a partnership of three involves? Can Mojo be sure this is the real thing that’s happening between them or just a wishful want?
I, for one, have always been impressed with the level of both emotional and sexual tension that Ms. Lynne is able to bring to every book. She has brought together three people who desperately needed what the others had to offer.
April is not a go-getter, but when she feels the chemistry between herself and Mojo, she knows this is too good an opportunity to pass on what could be the adventure of her life.
Throw Jasper in the mix and they have found heaven on earth in each others arms. A really fun ménage, not a lot of angst and filled with its own share of tragedy.
BETWEEN TWO LOVERS is the follow up to JOEY’S FIRST TIME and a great read!
This is a M/M/F story, not to be confused with a M/F/M story. What's the difference? In a M/F/M story male...stuff...only ever goes into female orifices. With a M/M/F story stuff goes everywhere. :D
All joking aside, I prefer M/M/F where anything can happen. If you're going to write a menage, why put up roadblocks and limit yourself? That being said, I really liked this one. I liked the characters, I liked their story, and I'm not complaining about the plot. The book was a little on the short side, but that could just be me feeling that way cause I just really wanted more of these characters.
What I liked the most, was that even with two men doting on her, April showed some backbone and didn't just jump into moving in with them 5 minutes after meeting them. I liked that she wanted to be independent for a while, and really make sure that they're all really a good fit. That things wouldn't change a few weeks down the road. A good girl with a good head on her shoulders. Don't get much better than that.
There were some minor grammatical issues here, but they're easy to ignore. Or at least I tried to ignore them. I wasn't too crazy about April's gay BFF. He annoyed the heck out of me. He was a bit too over-protective.
April is a normal everyday woman. She is easy to relate to. She is not perfect and finds fault with her body. She has been hurt by men in the past by always expecting more from a relationship. When she meets bartender Mojo at a bar she is instantly attracted. She surprised when he shows a mutual attractions. She is even more surprised when she learns he is in a long-term relationship with another man, Jasper.
She takes the bulls by the head and decides to explore a purely sexual relationship with the two men. She gets to live a true fantasy of many women everywhere. Two hot and sexy men giving all focused on her and each other. Hot damn, this was smoking.
The book was short, but it gave all the needed information. The writing was well done and had a good pacing. Honestly MMF is not my preferred reading. However, as April was so relatable I actually enjoyed her being involved. It was nice to see an everyday normal woman get the two sexy men all to herself.
I totally dig polyamorous relationships, however, when one of the characters doesn't claim being bi and more so just does it because his partner is bi, hmmm.
Mojo, Jasper & April are great characters. Carol Lynne writes well, she got me liking Mojo right away. I look forward to reading many more Carol Lynne books.
It's a nice companion piece to Joey's First Time. I really wish it was longer. And I mean muuuuch longer. I really like April, Mojo, and Jasper, I just wish I had more time to live with them and see their day-to-day action. Maybe a sequel??? Please?
Okay folks this is the one, it was fast and sweet. It's my personal favorite as far as a three way romance goes. The love was there with out the dominance.
