More than five hundred iconic images--including archival photographs, paintings, and graphics--trace the history of the United States in a lively visual tour of America's past and present, capturing indelible moments in the nation's history, influential people, and the changing face of the nation. 50,000 first printing.
It is chalk-full of the images I've seen repeatedly throughout my life. Some of which I had a basic understanding of and others I knew nothing about. I now have a much better appreciation for each piece of work, the context it was built in and how much importance they all carry to our history.
I look forward to sharing this book with my step-daughter and friends who will find it on my coffee table.
This is a very brief introduction of the United States of America.
Certainly not an easy book to read, IF you're very new to the history of the US.
But good thing about this book is, it comes in glossy paper, with lots of pictures with color.
Overall, I'd say a good book with pretty much influx. It will make history lovers like me to find more related books to have a clearer and better picture.
This is a wonderful informative book that everyone must read. I enjoyed being reminded of our history and the rich-nest of our country. This makes a great rad for anyone wanting to refresh their memory of the creation of our country. The illustrations witin the book are superb. I really enjoyed this book.
