The ending was sweet but the solving of the murder was basic and sooooooo anticlimactic 😔. At least Ruby is making progress in moving beyond her past relationship hurts b
It was a lacklustre murder case which literally got solved on it’s own 🤣
But the Christmas mood was ok The story was average as well I went through this as an audiobook and the narration was done well so the three stars are for narrative.
Christmas has arrived in Prattlebark but everything is not merry and bright for all as a caroler is found dead. With no shortage of suspects as rumors of an affair surfaces, will Ruby and Bee be able to figure out who is to blame before he/she strikes again?
Always appreciate Point's appropriately themed bite sized cozies to go with the season.

I just realized I had this book and didn't get around to reading it at Christmas after I got the latest book earlier today. I always love this series for being a quick and clean read, but I've really grown to love the characters and think of them as old friends, people I'd like to spend time with.
The rivalry of three town caroling groups led to the murder of one of the group leaders and to help out their guesthouse owner, Bee and Ruby were back in the murder investigating game. There weren't a whole lot of suspects, and the one whodunit made total sense, but I can't say I really guessed it right away. Ruby was really resourceful toward the end when questioning a suspect, and that led to getting the correct one arrested.
It was so sweet that Ruby's friend from their time in Muffin came to see her. Jamie was an ex-detective who inherited his aunt's estate and was now seeing the country in his RV. The ending was so Christmasy and sweet!
Although this was my first book in this series I was able to jump right in without feeling lost. There was enough detail for me to pick up with the series without so much that faithful readers of the every book would feel bored.
The plot itself was entertaining although I did have a bit of trouble keeping up with the different caroling groups, but that might have been me. The mystery was really good and kept me guessing. I like the whole "crime solving duo" aspect of the book and thought the characters were well written. It is kind of heavy on the Christmas theme, so perfect for this time of year.
Overall fun and very easy to read, definitely good for cozy mystery fans. Part of a series but can be read as a standalone, even though it mentions some events of previous books. Currently available on Kindle Unlimited when this review is posted. I would absolutely check out more of this series and other books by this author.

Business is good, people are friendly but then a murder takes place and puts a damper on everything. Ruby and Bee are at it again to investigate who did it and why. While this is going on, Jamie wants to come visit Ruby. Will their relationship finally take off? There were many twists and turns. This was a perfect cozy mystery with just the perfect amount of humor, romance, mystery, intrigue, quirky characters, and adventure that will keep any reader completely engaged. Ruby and Bee have moved on to Prattlebark Village with a new decorative treat for Christmas. Christmas traditions abound and Ruby and Bee are in good spirits, ready to enjoy their favorite holiday. One of the town’s traditions is a Christmas choir, but the competition seems to be turning deadly among three groups pushing to be #1.

Ruby and Bee Are having a wonderful time in Prattlebark Village. After all it is Christmas time but the one thing that isn't so caring and festive is the carolers. There are three groups and a competition will be held to see which one will be doing the caroling. She could be a suspect in her murder. Even Jamie comes to the Guesthouse to visit for with a surprise for Ruby. But first the murder must be solved. This time Ruby and Bee are trying to find out who killed Georgia the leader of the Holy Howlers caroling group. Georgia and Virginia the leader of the Candy Cane Carolers got into a public brawl the morning before she was murdered. Apparently Georgia was having an affair with Eustace Grimes and though her husband Dirk knew about it he still loved her. The ladies find out who the murderer is right before the Christmas Eve caroling event. Meanwhile Ruby's friend Jaimie comes to Prattlebark Village to spend Christmas with her.

No spoilers with this review as I don't want to give away any part of the story. Rosie has written another fantastic cozy mystery you'll love reading. Cute story but it's getting a little ridiculous that two bakers come across so many murders in so many small towns. It's also hard to believe they can survive since they hardly ever spend any time selling their baked items (and almost never seem to bake in the stories.
I think maybe this series should have had them solve different types of cases, not just murders. Might have been more believable.
Ruby and Bea are at it again! While the village of Prattlebark loves everything Christmas, the choir competition becomes so fierce that someone will actually kill for the title of being the best. It comes down to the involvement of Ruby and Bea to solve the crime and bring happiness back to the village.

This was a quick fun read. It was the first in the series that I've read but it was easy to understand the relationships already established so that didn't distract me from the book. I'll read previous books in the series and new ones when they are released. It was an enjoyable afternoon read and I did actually chuckle while reading!
Love this series. Ruby & Bee are two of my favorite book characters. This story takes place at Christmas time & of course the girls find themselves in the middle of another murder. Well written, didn't figure out who committed the murder until the author was ready to reveal it. The ending was sweet. I look forward to reading more.
Just a fun, quick book.for the holidays, complete with a murder. And Ruby and Bee try to figure it out. I know these are not literary masterpieces, to be read by high school students fifty years from now, but they are quick, fun, quirky.books to give you a few laughs.
Fun, easy Christmas read! Ruby and Bee are at it again with another murder to solve. Christmas caroling abounds with heavy competition! If you like a fun, clean cozy mystery series, then you need to read this one!

This book was equally as delightful as all the previous in the series. All of the books are entertaining and light with just enough hint of romance. I am so thankful I found this series and will continue to read all that’s available.
What a crazy run up to Christmas with a murder and crazy carolers competing for the prime position on the Christmas Eve event. And Jamie coming to visit! Lots of excitement!😋
This is the first bopk Ive read by this author. It was full of reminiscings of previous stories so I didnt quite enjoy it. The story line was too pat and over quickly. I didnt feel I knew the characrers which is probably my fault for starting at book 13.
it was cute enough. I didn't realize it was apart of a series but I followed along alright. It wasn't my favorite but I can see why others might enjoy it. My favorite part was when the character said "this is bull poop pie". I laughed out loud.
This series is fantastic! Great read alone or read the series! I have loved all the books in this series. Bee and Ruby have mysteries and fun in every book.
