Probably my favorite of this series. I used to read it to the kids in my martial arts class.

Lee's competition is a talented young girl, who as it turns out, worked her tail off to get as good as she was. The story is a good one for girls AND boys in that it teaches respect for hard work and opposite genders.

Fantastic gem akin to Carol Dweck's work (on entity/incremental views) as well as K. Anders Ericsson's (on expertise). This book also has implications for feminist theory. I recommend the book to those interested in Gladwell's "Outliers," Tavris's "The Mismeasure of Woman," and sociocognitive development.
