This book was a great book that shows kids that games are fun to play and all but just because its fun you cant go to far either. For example, Emery and Richard decided to hang out one day. They were really board and decided to go to the park.Richard tolled Emery how about we play"Nicky Nicky Nine Doors," and then Emery said no.But she ended up playing. They then started to video tape their neighbors reactions. Then they knocked on the doors but started to prank people. This game got way out of hand.Emery started to feel bad that people sometimes ended up cry but she doesn't know how to stop. And she gets in big problems. So this book will help kids see that a game is for fun but don't go out of hand with it and don't cross the line.

In the story, Nine Doors by Vicki Grant, published in 2009. This book is fiction. Told from first person point of view by a boy named Emery. It takes place in a neighborhood. Richard and Emery play Nicky Nicky Nine Doors. My opinion of this book is interesting but boring. Two boys play Ding Dong Ditch. Going around to many houses placing fake dog poop and ringing doorbells. Emery placed dog poop on one porch and rang the doorbell. He tried to run but his shoelace was stuck in the crack of the concrete. He didn't have enough time to up so he just sat on the fake poop. He met a girl by doing this but it was too boring the way it happened. If they would have made some joke out of it i feel like it would be on the more interesting side. I recommend this for people under the age of ten. It's a more standard reading level for people twelve and older.

I like this book because it is universal because it shows the lesson of two teenagers who are playing a game in the summer, this is a good book because they are playing a different version of ding dong ditch but then Richard brings up a different way to play. Not only putting the main character Emery in danger but Richard and his other friends. This also is a great book because it shows the reader that there is a point where instead of it being a prank it turns into something else very fast, and to be self aware.

This book was really good and suspenseful. This book shows kids that games can be fun, but you can't go too far over the line, or you might end up in big trouble. My favorite part was when they made the "doggie doo" out of the chocolate bar. Very funny, but a very disgusting mental image. Gross! Also, I didn't like Richard. He peer pressured Emery into doing dangerous things like setting bags on fire just to make a "cool" movie. Emery knew it wasn't right and how hurtful it was when she saw some characters crying. Overall, this book was very good and showed how a fun game could turn into something very bad.

I personally really enjoyed this book I think the author is an exceptional writer. If I had to say what my favorite part of the book was it would be when Emery realizes what they are doing is wrong. The books is about these kids who think it would be funny to play ding dong ditch but when that becomes wrong they decided to light paper bags on fire on people porches. I like this book my favorite character has something to him that makes him better than the rest because he knows the difference between right and wrong. If I had to say what mainly makes this book good I would say the amount of thrill put into the book. What makes Vicki Grant such a good writer is the amount of believability she writes with. When I read her books I really apart of the book.

Alyssa Haught pd.5-6 Nine Doors by: Vicki Grant 110 8/21/09 i give it a 7

I think that Bebi eventhough was a minor character had a huge importance in the book. She was important because without her the kids wouldnt have gotten in that much trouble and that would have effected the book a lot.

This was an okay story. I didn't like the behavior of the boys, but I thought what happen at the end might scare them out of doing it again...though I didn't like how so many people covered for them.

No ich zabava skonci uplne inak, ako si predstavovali.
Ehm, neviem, co na to povedat. Je to novela, precitala som to na ceste do a z prace. Myslienka to sice bola zaujimava, ale oboch hlavnych hrdinov by som trepla po hlave, keby som mohla. Neznasam take blbe srandicky a ja si veru nepamatam, aby u nas na dedine niekto take nieco vyvadzal. Hoci manzel vravi, ze tu v PO na sidlisku to robievali bezne. Nuz, my sme mali na dedine viac roboty, nemali sme cas na take stupidne hry 😝
Knihu odporucam dat precitat mladym, co sa nevedia zmestit do koze.
Nie ako inpsiraciu, ale ako upozornenie, kam to moze az viest.

Nine doors is a book about two teen boys who start playing this game called Nicky Nicky nine doors. It’s a game where you knock on someone’s door then run away and you get to see their funny reaction. Then his friend shows him another game that your not to sure about but you play it anyway, that game included fire, and a videotape to get the reactions. But then the police got called!

Part of the Orace Currents series, Nine Doors is about this teen, Emery, and because he is bored, he becomes friendly with someone who he wouldn’t normally associate with and how this kid, Richard, gets Emery to play a stupid game that gets them into trouble. Since it is summer, Emery listens as Richard cooks up a scheme to play Nicky Nicky Nine Doors, which is knock on people’s doors and run away before they answer. Emery doesn’t really want to play this game but Richard convinces him it will be fun and they can make a video and win movie awards. They decide to spice up the game and put bags of dogdirt on the porch and light it before racing away. It is at door number three that Emery falls down because his shoelace becomes wedged in the spacing between the boards. A pretty girl answers the door and Emery is saved by her. This teen, Bebi, tells her father a lie about a science project they are doing together. Emery does not want to play this game anymore (he likes Bebi!!!) and decides he will make up an excuse to Richard and see Bebi instead. But all three are separately kidnapped. How will they get out of this mess that they probably caused themselves with this stupid game? A great read about a conflicted teen who makes some poor choices in a friend and the resulting consequences.

During the summer vacation, the protagonist is boring because her friend all moved alway or went to other place to visit someone and play. The main character's named is Emery, but other people and her parents sometimes called her Emily. A new boy moved into Emery's neighborhood. What they have in common is that they don't have people to play with. One day this boy came up to Emery and asked her if she want to play with him. Emery is so boring and said yes. She asked the boy what they will play. The boy said that they would play Nicky Nicky nine doors. Emery said that that game is for kindergarten kids. The boy said that it is fine and who said that only kindergarten kids could play. The boy ash we will knock on other people's door and video type it to make it into a movie and we will be famous and make a lots of money. Emery thought that this boys might be crazy so that he want to video type about the game that they are playing which is called Nicky Nicky nine doors. After knocking on to doors, Emery and the boy found out that this game is fun and it is not boring.

I think this book was interesting. The title is Nine Doors. The author is Vicki Grant. The genre is realistic fiction and scary. Have you ever had someone prank you by knocking at your door. The main character is Richard. It is about Richard and his friends playing a game at night time when it is dark and pranking people in his neighborhood. They are using chocolate bars as stunt poo. My overall opinion of the book is it was good but very scary because it was scary it made me jump.

I enjoyed reading this book. It is a quick read for students. It is high interest but low level reading. I would recommend this to students who are not big fans of reading. The story is about two boys Richard and Emery who are trying to find ways to preoccupy their time since they are bored. They decide to knock on doors and run. As they do this they raise the stakes a little higher. Their fun game becomes a nightmare from them. Read the book to see what happens to the boys.l

Couldn't get through it. It felt like the author was trying too hard to make the things that the characters were doing "bad." But they really weren't that bad. It was not believable that the antagonist would be so willing to go along with the MC.

I very much loved this book It really relates to me as a kid pulling pranks and ding dong ditching. but that's not all this book is about it really talks about things that can go wrong and people you meet and it is just a great book and great find and you should go read it for your self. The character too just makes it feel like you are there doing the things they do and every little thing.
