Desmond Chase is once more making sure that everyone needs are being met, and questioning just how aware Dave is of all the trappings that come with being with kinky partners. Archer thinks things are fine, if only they could all spend a little more time together.

The solution appears to be a night of showing Dave what they all do, an event that will take place in the fire station Dave and Archer are renovating and living in. It sounds like a good idea, but can Dave deal with seeing Archer and Wyatt together? Can Desmond find a way to meld the two sides of his own personality? How will Dave deal with having all the bondage and domination brought into his home? Find out in the second of this Chaser series.

I live and write in eastern Canada. I went to a bunch of schools, learned a lot of things, and now make stuff up because not to do so is unthinkable. I'm fond of fountain pens, Levenger's Circa system, and Steampunk fashions.
I'm inspired by the day to day minutia of life, and find beauty in the way words go together. I like texture and richness of experience. I'm not shy. I'm happy, I'm learning, I'm living.

The renovations are going well on the old fire station that Archie and Dave purchased as their new home. There is only one problem ~ they've been so busy with work and the renovations they haven't had much time for their relationships. Des misses Dave and Des's partner Wyatt is anxious to spend more time with Archie. Des and Archie sit down to lunch one day to discuss time and sharing of their respective partners and how to continue moving forward.

They come up with a solution ~ a night involving all four of them spending some time at the fire station. Des and Wyatt will get to see how far the renovations have come, Des will spend time with Dave, and Des and Dave will get to watch Archie and Wyatt put on a bit of a show. Being the one non-kinky member of the group has never been a problem for Dave, but seeing Archie in such a dominant role with Wyatt submitting to him could be another matter entirely. Des holds out hope that the end result of the night will be to bring all four of the men even closer together.

Proposal is a titillating and exciting addition to this series about four fascinating men. The majority of this story focuses on the night at the fire station. This is an area that the men haven't been to before, bringing all their relationships together at once. Archie and Dave are in love and Des and Wyatt are devoted partners, but there are strengthening bonds between Des and Dave as well as Archie and Wyatt. There is a mutual respect always apparent among these men, and that is one of the main reasons why all the relationships work.

This story is very much driving toward the admission of the depth of feelings between the couples, namely the new couples where the partners have been switched. It is easy to see why Des adores spending time with Dave in a relationship where he doesn't have to always be in the dominant role and can instead be on equal footing. Wyatt provides Archie a chance to express his more dominant side, as well as play with his kinks for leather and bondage. It's a mutually beneficial situation which all men are enjoying and coming to depend on. This story includes an intense scene between Archie and Wyatt which is quite hot, but it is the reactions of Dave and Des that really amplify the emotional reaction to the scene.

In the end, the stories following these men are about love and that makes them truly enjoyable. I recommend starting with the Used, Rare and Limited Editions stories which are the introduction to all four men and are told from Dave's perspective. You will definitely want to continue with the Used, Rare and Custom Jobs series, told from Des' point of view, but start with the first in the series Bid before reading Proposal. Each story builds the progression of the relationships and are therefore best read in order. You are sure to enjoy these engaging stories filled with complex characters.
