But fun soon turns into danger when things get real.
But with Mitzy going away, Pye is worried that she won’t be able to solve the pretend murder on the train without his helpful clues; gotta love Pye! And Silas is a bit cranky with the whole Ghostmas-is-trapped thing; gotta love Silas! There’s so much to love about this book, about this series! It’s everything!
14 Castaways and Longer Days - What a pageturner!
I was a bit down when I started this book. But the moment I started it, all my worries fell away and it cheered me right up! Within pages I was chuckling out loud. This was exactly what I needed! A well-written book full of mystery and humor.
I love all the characters. Mitzy is awesome, Pye too, Ghost-ma a hoot, Silas amazing, and Erick, well, he is the ideal book-boyfriend! Mitzy and Erick are so cute together! I love their bond, it really pops off the page. And poor Ghost-ma, trapped in that pendant. Will Silas find a way? If anyone can do it, it is Silas, but it seems impossible.
The ending had me crying. Why? Just read for yourself, no spoilers from me!
Favorite quote, Mitzi’s reaction to Pye: “Ree-ow.” I’d like to believe that was his version of an apology, but honestly, it sounds more like a condescending acknowledgment of my fragile humanity.
15 Schemes and Bad Dreams - Wonderfully well written
There is a new element in this book that really added to the story. I Loved that with a capital L! But, this instalment is just a little bit heavier than normal. Just a tad darker. So please, do read the warning in the front of the book. Because this book contains some topics that may be triggering.
But of course it was once again a well written book, with that one-more-chapter-ability. A real pageturner. Silvertale is one of my favorite authors and this book was a great read.
But I have to admit I didn’t like Candy all that much. I didn’t like Benicio all that much. And I didn’t like Mitzy’s behavior when she was around Beni. It was a little bit more negative than I’d normally like. Still, the story swept me away and was so wonderfully written that I was on the edge of my seat. Because you know, (quote) “You may have paid for the whole seat, but you’ll only need the edge!” These are the kind of sentences that made me fall in love with Silvertale’s tales! The mystery is wrapped up really well.
And there were a few elements to this story that really make it stand out. Highly recommend! But like I said, do read the warning!

I adore this series! I come away feeling as though the characters in Pin Cherry Harbor are my friends. I have an emotional investment in each installment. Every new book in the series is a treat. They never get stale. Fast-paced. A real page-turner.
In “Dames and Deadly Games” (Mitzy Moon #13),” Erick (AKA Sheriff Too-Hot-to-Handle) takes Mitzy to a murder mystery game on a historic train. But if you have been reading this series, you know that wherever Mitzy goes a dead body tends to show up. Mitzy and Erick must find the murderer before they reach the next depot.
In my opinion, “Castaways and Longer Days” is one of the best in the series. I read it in one day. I could not put it down. A tornado hits Pin Cherry Harbor. Amid the chaos, a body is found. Murdered. Another challenge for Mitzy Moon and her boyfriend Sheriff Erick Harper. This installment has a LOT of emotion. Mitzy and Erick’s romance moves forward. Ghost-ma’s Cuddlekins, AKA Pyewacket, goes missing. Tears, rejoicing, more tears…You will need tissues for this one. I was kept in suspense right up to the end. But there are still those hilarious moments that make Mitzy so adorable.
“Schemes and Bad Dreams” has a darker tone than any of the other books in the series. The description of one of the characters as “creeptastic” is spot on. Someone from Mitzy’s past in Arizona comes to Pin Cherry Harbor. He heard that she came into a lot of money, and he had to find out for himself. Is he a threat to Mitzy’s relationship with “Sheriff Too-Hot-to-Handle”? Mitzy becomes the victim in this installment, and it is up to Sheriff Erick, with the help of Mitzy’s beloved feline Pyewacket and alchemist Silas to rescue her. The story had me on the edge of my seat. I loved that this book gives the reader alternating perspectives from Mitzy and Erick. This is the first book that the reader hears from Erick. At first, I wasn’t sure how this would go, but I trust Trixie and, as usual, she did not disappoint.
The best part of this series overall is watching Mitzy learn to trust and love those around her. That is a big deal for someone who grew up in the foster care system. I love the sweet romance between Mitzy and Eric as it continues to deepen.
If you are looking for a sweet quick cozy mystery read, I HIGHLY recommend this series. I get excited with each announcement of a new book in the series. The characters have become my friends. Think I can move to Pin Cherry Harbor?

Book13: Dames and Deadly Games
Mitzy and Eric finally get a weekend getaway alone together. Eric’s friend gives them first class tickets to a murder mystery train’s inaugural ride. Before they can solve the “fake” murder a real one occurs. It’s Johanne the owner of the train and not a nice person! They don’t have long to solve it and a train car full of suspects who claim not to know each other. As Mitzy uses her gifts to try and solve it they are not reliable especially when champagne is consumed! There is very spotty wifi so she has limited access to Mr. Cuddlekins her caracel.
In the end the very complicated case is solved. There was nonstop action, drama and danger! The story was very originally and well plotted out. My favorites part was that Mitzy and Eric finally got their alone time on the ride back. Mitzy’s outfits were fabulous! Still hoping Silas can safely get ghostma out of the necklace with his brothers help. Who knew he had a brother right? I highly recommend this book and this series! Great job Trixie! Looking forward to reading the next book in the series!

When an F5 tornado hits Pin Cherry Harbor all hell breaks loose! Leticia Whitecloud who has crossed Mitzy several times in the past is found murdered! Mitzy is on the case. Can Silas release ghostma from the cursed necklace or will she cross over when they try. Many questions were answered in this book. I like that Mitzy & Erich’s relationship is finally progressing faster.
I really enjoyed this book! There was drama, scary situations, romance, kindness & several red herrings! I highly recommend this book and this series!

I really enjoyed this book. I liked that we got a glimpse of Arizona Mitzy when her old friend/lover comes to Pin Cherry to find her. Hearing she’s now come into some money he wants his share. Erich gets a little jealous but he trusts Mitzy which shows how their story has progressed!
When Mitzy goes missing and supposedly on a road trip Erich’s mom hears her text and his mom who’ blind confirms what he suspects that Mitzy didn’t write it. It didn’t sound like her. I loved his mom getting into story! I loved the the pie competition!
This book has plenty of drama, mystery and action. This book like all of Trixie’s are well written with original plots! I highly recommend this book and series!

Dames & Deadly Games
I never get tired of reading this series of books. Mitzy Moon and her boyfriend, Eric Harper, always provide a great story with great interaction between them with their blooming romance. Eric is offered two first-class tickets on a 1920's themed murder mystery train trip for the weekend. They both throw themselves into playing the parts assigned to them - a 1920's flapper/singer and a 1920's gangster. On the first evening the fake murder takes place and then everyone goes about trying to find out who the murderer was. Sometime in the early hours of the next morning an actual murder takes place. Very soon Mitzy and Eric realise that they only have until the next stop to figure out who, out of the first-class passengers, is the real murderer, before they get the chance to escape.

Summer has arrived at Pin Cherry Harbour and the town is celebrating. Unfortunately, right in the middle of a boat race a tornado hits the town. Pyewacket goes missing and Mitzy can't find him. She has to trust that he is a very smart cat and can look after himself. Mitzy and every able-bodied person is out looking for survivors from the sunk and over-turned boats. It would seem that not all the deceased persons got that way from natural causes. Mitzy (of course) gets involved in solving the murder, even though she did not like the victim at all. Her psychic abilities come in very handy when talking to suspects.
Schemes & Bad Dreams
Mitzy had a visitor arrive from her old life in Arizona and although they had grown apart, she still showed him around town and took him out drinking. After consuming too many drinks, she left her car and they started walked, only to be given a lift by a local. It took quite a while before the sheriff (her boyfriend) Ghost-ma, Pyewhacket and Silas realised that she was missing. She had apparently been kidnapped and it appeared that her friend had done it, but looks can be deceiving. It took all of their ingenuity and that of Mitzy herself to get her out of the trouble in which she found herself.

Dames and Deadly Games is a fantastic, fun, and fast-paced mystery with plenty of snark and love.
Book 14: Wow! What an amazing addition to the Mitzy Moon Mysteries!
In Castaways and Longer Days, Mitzy faces trouble like never before - there is a tornado heading toward Pin Cherry, a murder to solve, and the potential that Ghostma may be released from the amber pendant she was trapped in.
Thank goodness for boyfriend extraordinaire, Sheriff Erick Harper! He is ready to help Mitzy with all things criminal and emotional.
As always, sinking into a Mitzy Moon Mystery is like taking a mini-vacation with really awesome friends who attract adventure and danger in equal measure.
Book 15: When a blast from Mitzy's past comes to Pin Cherry Harbor, trouble isn't far behind. And wow does that trouble ever pack a wallop!
Shady exes, kidnappings, and deranged ghosts oh my!
While this story sinks to slightly heavier territory, all of the elements I love about a Mitzy Moon story are definitely present.
Mitzy is forced to trust herself and her paranormal skills in new ways. Her growth is paramount to the story and leads to a satisfying conclusion.

Kidnapping. A murderous train ride. Tornadoes. All of these are just a taste of what our intrepid heiress, Mitzy Moon, faces on a daily basis. I don’t think I could handle half of this as well as she does. In my defense, I don’t have any of Mitzy’s abilities or support or even a caracal. This is a fantastic continuation of the Legend of Mitzy Moon! I love reading this series!

I love reading about Pin Harbor and Mizty's adventures. I cried along with her when ghostma was gone. The stories are so well written and the characters make you feel like they are your friends, you personally care what happens to them in the story. Wonderful books.

Trixie Silvertale Does it again and again, superb writing and you'll fall in love with all the Characters in the story you feel like you personally know them like Family. enjoyable cozy mysteries that is amazing. I have read entire series. This is a great gift for Christmas.

Book 15
Old friends complicate life, or can do it allowed. Survival of another kidnap scenario may be doubtful, but Mitzy is a sharp intellect. And Pyewacket is amazing as alwzys. Enjoy!

I love this series. It gives you great mysteries, wonderful characters and a little magic to keep it interesting. Trixie’s books keep you wanting more. This is a must read series!!

Mitzy is such a card, you never know what will happen when she is involved. This series has become one of my favorites and I plan on looking into more books by Trixie.
