Kaavia and Kyree

I had a soft spot for both Kaavia and Kyree. I loved their love. I wish that circumstances would have allowed them to grow together, but I'm so happy that they grew and came back together. Kyree was having it no other way. There's nothing better than a man that plans and is prepared for you.
This story definitely reminds us that sometimes we have to lose to win.

Getting that old thing back.

I read this story because it was the prequal to the Thanksgiving short I wanted to read for the Holiday.

I decided not to rate them separately and I read the Thanksgiving right after this one, to get their full story. The storyline was a second chance love. Kyree and Kaavia were young teenagers in love, but they truly believed they were meant to be together. Life caused Kyree to have to move out of state with his father and they lost touch. This was one of those "if its real love they say let it go, and it will come back to you." After 10 years Kyree is finally ready to claim his girl. He had finally left the streets alone, and was fully legit. He didn't want to have her caught up in any of his unsavory dealings. Kyree was ready to risk it all in order to get that old thing back. The catch was both of them were married to other people, insert the mess. I love a messy story and this had the potential to be good, but the delivery of the story fell flat for me. The author over describes everything. I love being able to picture the story like the next reader, but this was overkill. Every sentence was layered with too many descriptive words to the point that it distracted from the story. My recommendation is to ease up on the thesaurus and just tell the story. The bones are good, there was enough chemistry for the sexy scenes, and the storyline was good enough. Not a bad read, but not great. Sometimes less is more.

New Year, same love!

Now, this is a New Year love story. Kyree was that dude. He loved and supported his soulmate's dreams from afar. I loved how he saved his money and promoted Kaavia's business all while she was oblivious to it. Kaavia was married and living under the roof with another man that showed no kind of support. Her ex was the definition of a narcissist. The mere fact that Kyree knew that Kaavia was his forever was so refreshing. He step back into her life at the right moment. He made sure to cross all of his t's and dot all of the i's so he can be with Kaavia. He kept his word and the promise he made to her all those years ago.

This is a short story however you will yearn for more of Kyree and Kaavia. Their story portrays that true love exists. Time may have been a factor but in the end, love prevails. Mrs. Cornish feel free to update us on these two. I wonder if will it be an adventure getting down the aisle with two exes that don't want to let go. I highly recommend this read, it's a breath of fresh air.

True Love Will Always Prevail!!!

Tristan and Kaavia was the epitome of all that a marriage shouldn’t be. Love shouldn’t be forced or tolerated and this is exactly how I felt about Kaavia and Tristan. However, the way she recorded her husband sleeping with another woman was epic to me.

Everything that happened was meant to so that two souls could reunite. Kyree was the ultimate book bae for me. The way he loved on and catered to Kaavia made me swoon. Kaavia was no different. Her love for Kyree never waivered.

This book was so good. Exhilarating. I can’t wait to read what’s next from Author Aja!! Great job! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Come on Aja! Lost love is found again! Two souls that were forced apart, by circumstances beyond their control. However, their love remained strong. Kaavia was devastated when Kyree left, but she had to move on with her life. She settled for Tristan, but couldn't love him properly, as her heart was already claimed by another! Kyree too, fell into a marriage of convenience, with no love. His heart was, and will always be with Kaavia. Years later the perfect opportunity presents itself, for Kyree to claim his woman. He came strong, and was not going to move forward or live another day with Kaavia by his side! Their love was special! It was beautiful to see how he remembered everything she likes, and catered to her, as if no time passed at all! Sweet story! 👍👍👍

A Sweet New Years Romance

Drama from the jump, this was a mess of lies, cheating, and some pathetic begging that was pretty funny. People always want to do right after they’ve been caught, but Kyree wasn’t with the bs. He and Kaavia have a love that transcended time and time was exactly what was needed for them to grow and experience life apart to know they should be together. When you know you know and Kyree knew when he was being played and when he’d had enough. He was more than sure, he was determined to get the life he lost back with Kaavia. A sweet feel good romantic holiday short that warmed my heart. It kept me engaged, was sexy, shocking, and funny. This story was a dreamy New Years romance you’ll enjoy.

Undone

This NYE short was started with a bang and needed with a bang. I don’t think I read a book that illustrated “if you love someone let them go and if it’s meant to be they’ll come back” in such a perfect way! The soundtrack 🎶 was dope too!

quick read

I liked the story overall but the story was a bit rushed. Even though it is a short story I needed more development of the Characters to really get into it. This was my first read from this author. I will be reading another one of her books in the future.

quick smutty second chance romance

Undone is a holiday black romance. I would say an Urban romance since, Kyree stated he was gang member. The book didn't really focus on Kyree's past too much. It mainly focused on the love story between Kaavia and Kyree. To me, their love was lust based then love based. I get they were together as kids but if you are reading this book for a lovey-dovey second-chance romance, you may be out of luck. Yet, if you want a quick sex filled second-chance romance, well here you go. The story was rushed. I wished they would have had a longer "Catch-up" phase of their rekindling before the sex. This story has great potential. If the book was longer and more detailed on the lives of each main character, it would be a four star rating for me. In particular how them getting divorce affected their lives. Such as socially, financially, and emotionally. I wanted a quick smutty read, but if it was rewritten to be longer and better, I would come back.
