CALIXTA CANE

I have known what I am my entire life, and the risks that come with it. Healing is not a choice for a Witch, it is a calling that burns our souls if we reject it. I learned to cloak my magic, so imagine my surprise when a King of Hell walked through my doors in need of healing. I could have ignored the screaming in my soul to save him… but something about this devilishly handsome Demon draws me in like nothing else. I have a feeling saving him will burn me in more ways than one. But oh, what a way to go…

ADRIK

The Witch Hunt is back, but I have other prey on my My mate. When I find her, she’s perfect and powerful, and the urge to mark her is almost overwhelming. But I am no hero, I am the villain she has grown up hearing about and she needs time. But Angels are circling, and I fear what will happen if I don’t claim her. If she is taken from me, I will incinerate the world and be the very villain she fears I am..

I’ve never wanted to be a witch so badly in all my life!

If being a witch means I get a King of Hell, sign me up!

Once again Alexis Maree brings the heat (and not just with hellfire), treating us to delicious intimate scenes between the characters.

Adrik is patiently determined to give Calixta the opportunity to fall in love with him before he binds them together for eternity. Who doesn't love a patient man who considers his partner's needs first?

When the attraction gets to be too much, these two are explosive.

An amazing book that I highly recommend. I'll be waiting (im)patiently for the next installment.

Prophesy Come True

If you want the cremé de la cremé of arrogant, confident, cocky underworld swagger, look no further than the Kings of Hell. The prophecy has come true for brother #2 Adrick and he and Cali are 🔥 together. When these Demon Kings find their Mates they will stop at nothing to keep them safe.

The war between Angels and Demons still prevail. The battle between good and evil continues except the alleged good guys are actually the bad guys and the hero mankind needs comes from the last place you would expect....Hell

Follow Adrick on his journey of finding his mate and the trials and tribulations they endure fighting for their HEA. Now that the prophecy is in motion we will see each brother find their Fated Mate one by one.

I can't wait to read Malik's story he's already off to a hilarious start.

After Cole found his witch and the prophecy was revealed, the remaining eight brothers know that they have a mate destined for them somewhere out there. Adrik runs the second circle of Hell and knows that he is next in line. Two years after Cole and Tomika found each other, Adrik finds himself stabbed by an Angel blade. Although he could easily return to Hell and ask for Mika's help, he follows an old man that seems to know where another which is.

From the moment Adrik lays eyes on Calixta, he knows. Everything in him knows. But there's a problem, the prophecy states that in order for him to find his mate, he would have to follow her blood trail. But he didn't, so could the prophecy be wrong? Because their is no doubt in his mind that Cali is his. Cali is a strong and powerful witch and her sass is exactly what he wants.

Intending on doing things differently to his brother, Adrik takes it slow with Cali. He holds off on binding their souls with his mark and instead focuses on getting her to trust him, letting her know him. But the war between Angels and Demons is still raging and the search for witches is in full force. Can Adrik keep Cali safe without telling her the whole truth?

My thoughts:
The overall premise of this series is so good! I love how the prophecy has set in motion each of these brother's stories. I especially loved Cali in this book, she is a strong and feisty FMC. Adrik was such a perfect character, he didn't push her when he shouldn't, he was firm when he had to be and he was just all round amazing. I loved how the author switched up the binding order, I didn't expect that! I also absolutely ADORED the Nephilim Zarak (I have a huge thing for Nephilim lol not weird at all) and I hope to see his character appear more throughout the series!

After the stunning introduction to The Kings of Hell with Cole, I was wondering if Adrik’s story would be able to compete. Cole’s story did such a wonderful job of introducing the reader not just to The Prophecy of The Nine and to the other Kings of Hell, but it also did a phenomenal job of building the world it was set in. So, what would happen now that I was familiar with it? I mean, where can you go after literally being left with a Book Hangover? Well, the simple answer was RIGHT BACK TO THE WORLD I DIDN'T WANT TO LEAVE! As soon as I opened Adrik's story, I knew it would be just as strong and just as addictive but adding on its own spin that is Adrik’s own uniquely cocky and loving way.

Adrik has the most delightfully devilish sense of humor and voice. The book opens with him sitting in his well run Ring of H3ll stating, “I was bored.” “And you know what they say about idle hands…”. Literally I was smiling and shaking my head at the playfulness of his voice all the while knowing that this wonderful internal dialogue was drawing me into the book and would serve as a springboard for the discovery of His Witch. I knew that she would equal him in power, attitude, and passion.

Then, in Chapter Two when we meet Cali after Adrik is being brought to her for a healing, I knew that the banter was going to sparkle and the tension would just sizzle between these two as she led him on a merry chase. When I read her thoughts I knew Adrik had met his match in this strong, protective, self sufficient, take charge, take no prisoners and no $hit woman. What a wonderful explosion of personalities it was when these two strong, opinionated, and equally devoted individuals go head to head to do what they feel is right. For Cali, this is using her healing powers no matter the cost to herself. For Adrik, this is protecting those he views as family -- Cali, his brothers, his brother’s mate, and all the homeless people that he comes to defend and care for. This is not to say he will not do what needs to be done as ruthlessly as he needs to as a King of Hell. But, when he can just be Adrik, everything is done with a twinkle in his eye that makes Callie re-examine what she ‘thinks she already knows’.

Again, as with Cole’s story, I cannot caution you enough that this is an 18+ read and I must say that this story does have its dark moments, as well as ones that challenge a very set view of “right” and “wrong”. The world that Adrik and Callie live in is not hearts and flowers or chubby cherubs and cartoon devils, this is a Battlefield of and for the Ages. In it you will find surprising allies and unexpected enemies that will remind you that perception is in the eye of the beholder. I guarantee that you will be left several times holding your breath as you turn the page hoping that some magic will emerge to change the direction of events. This story does have a happy ending for Adrik and Callie… but I will not spoil your discovery of this book by sharing more than that. Just know that you will have a H3LL of a time watching Adrik and Callie’s spark, spit, and fight as they find and fall for each other and ultimately end with the best teaser for Book Three that has literally caused me to circle the release date for Malik’s story on my calendar.

I read this book in the Kindle Unlimited Program

"Adrick: King of the Second Ring of Hell" blew me away with its gripping story and unforgettable characters! What I loved most was the incredible strength and independence of the female main character.

From the moment she stepped onto the pages, she commanded attention. Her power and resilience shone through, and I couldn't help but root for her. She held her own alongside Adrick, refusing to be overshadowed. Her presence added an extra layer of depth to the story, making it even more enthralling.

The chemistry between the main characters was electric, and their love story was both passionate and empowering. But what truly stood out was the way the female protagonist maintained her agency and stood tall in the face of adversity. She was no damsel in distress, but a force to be reckoned with.

The author's writing style was addictive, pulling me into a world where magic and darkness intertwined seamlessly. The pacing was perfect, keeping me on the edge of my seat with its well-balanced mix of action and tender moments. And the vivid descriptions brought the story to life, immersing me in a world I didn't want to leave.

In conclusion, "Adrick: King of the Second Ring of Hell" is an absolute must-read for fans of dark fantasy romance. The strength and presence of the female main character make this book a standout. Prepare to be swept away by a love story that celebrates independence and power. Trust me, you won't be able to put this book down!

Adrik and Calixta's story is a harm warming one with some funny character interaction moments. The second story in the Kings of Hell Series, I liked that more of the clues to the prophecy were revealed, especially since the Adrik's prophecy didn't pan out the way I thought it was. Compared to Cole's story, Adrik's story was light in terms of action and violence, in my opinion. I felt the story focused more on the way angels and demons are viewed, which lines up to Cali's beliefs. However, this wasn't a turn off, since it relates to Calixta and how she was raised. I'll admit, this story left a lot to be desired as far as the story went and I feel like it can dive deeper into different elements, such as the current witch history (knowledge) and the way things were cleaned up after a human saw an angel or demon. While I did find the dynamics between Adrik and Cali a little off, the characters, including the protagonists, interactions were what kept me reading. I'm especially fond of Zarak, Corvin, and the Reaper. I loved seeing Cole and Mika again. I'm curious about what will happen at the end of the last book.

This is the second book in this series which is just as awesome as the first. I highly suggest reading the previous book in this series to help your enjoyment of the characters and this author's writing style. This is a well written story where the author brings romance and steam to a new level. Her characters are not only relateable but they add so much to the story. They made the story pop and had me coming back for more. I enjoyed watching their growth as well as their chemistry that is off the charts. This is a fast paced story that is hard to put down. You don't want to miss what happens in this story for sure. This is a must read story! I highly recommend this book and this author.

Well the second book in the series didn't disappoint, I LOVED Adrik!! Adrik is really the whole package, a little growly and possessive and a lot sweet, attentive, and charming. I really loved the banter and chemistry between Cali and Adrik. Cali is such a wonderful character, she is sassy, smart, independent, and really realatable. Another thing I enjoyed was getting a little glimpse at a few of the other brothers especially Malik, I feel like his story is going to be insanity and I'm here for it. Also....... So interested in the Nephilim and Zarak and was stoked to see they will have a spin off for them because ahhmmm Zarak is hot!!

As a sometime reader of paranormal romance, this is the perfect option if you want a bit of escapism.
I’m trying to work out how I can meet a King of Hell myself now, as Adrik seems to be the whole, surly, hot package with Cali being more than equal to his dominance.
I love the development of their feelings for each other, and I partly don’t want to read about the others. As much as I enjoyed reading about Cole and Mika in Book 1, I really wanted this one to have a happy ending. But no spoilers! Can’t wait for Book 3, I think Malik’s approach isn’t going to be a smooth ride…

Wowwww!!!

Absolutely, adored the first book of the series, but this one!! WAS NEXT LEVEL! I'm obsessed!

Maree's world-building is off the charts! Make sure you read the first one as this one takes it the next step up!

Another fast-paced, well-written story, once you have been introduced to the kings of hell, you will not be able to put these down!!

Packed with romance, steam, action and suspense - this one is definitely one of my reading highlights for the year!! <3

Sign me up for Malik!! I can't wait to read what's next :)

I LOVE Cali & Adrik! I thought Cole and Mika had me in a chokehold but man! Cali did have me ready to fight when she hurt my boy’s feelings though! I hope Cali helps Mika learn more about her powers. And i can’t wait to see who pops out babies first! I can’t want to learn more about Zarak and i can’t believe Malik did that lmfao! I can’t wait to read his story! He’s definitely a demon of his word!

I'm going to keep this short and sweet. Adrian is my favorite so far. He's funny and sweet. He wants his mate to have consent every step of the way, when he could have just taken parts without it. Now the FMC, she made me mad a few times but she finally got her head out of her behind and stopped judging based off how she was taught, instead of her own experiences. Overall this was a fun read and can't wait to see where the next book takes us. The prophecy continues.

I was so looking forward to this after book one. It did not disappoint. I absolutely loved Adrik. He tried his best not to be a possessive alphahole, but hey, you know how that works. Cali is the complete opposite of Mika in standing up for herself, both great in their own way, but Cali is a bad*ss. Highly, highly recommend.

This book was fire! Pretty much literally as Adrik is a King of Hell.....I really liked the first instalment with Cole but I honestly can't get enough of Calixta & Adrik. This story was so good. It was detailed and well written. It was totally action packed, not a dull moment to be had. The characters were just perfect for each other, their relationship just flowed. All the connections the pair formed in this book were interesting and meaningful. I almost feel like Cali & Adrik could have a whole other book. I'm especially curious about the Nephilim Zarak and where his story is going to go, I like him. The banter in this book between characters was fun and enjoyable. And the spice was off the charts. All in all a well rounded book in my opinion. Glad I don't have to wait too long to read about Malik & his mate!

How I loved Cali & Adrik's story! This is the second book in the Kings of Hells series and I wasn't sure how it could be as good as Mika & Cole's story, but I loved it even more!!
Adrik is the king of the second level of Hell and determined to have Cali, a strong witch, but is even more determined to have it be her choice and that makes it such a fantastic dynamic.
Super steamy with raw emotions and some butt-kicking moments, makes you really want these two to get their HEA.
My only complaint is that I have to wait for the rest of the series! The first two books are going to be getting plenty of re-reads until I can get the next story!
Alexis Maree has really delivered with this series!!

Kings of Hell - Adrik!

I seriously loved this book, part two was even better than part one and it feels like the series will continue this trend.
Calixta is such a great character you can’t help but fall in love with her right away.
Adrik actually surprised me a little and I really liked him, ok no I love him! He is sexy, and god damn can that man talk to your sexy side haha
There’s Angels, Demons, Steam, Sass and so much more!
I loved the twists and turns that Alexis brings to the story and enjoyed every page, her writing is so much fun!
I cannot wait to see how this series continues to develop.
I give this book ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
(Edit: it’s so good I’ve read it twice!)

🌟18+!🌟
I just finished the second book in the "Kings of Hell" series by @alexismareeauthor , and it was definitely spicy hot! Adrik is the king of the second circle of hell. Like his brother Cole, he unexpectedly finds his mate, Calixta, after a battle leaves him injured. He is immediately determined to make her his. Calixta (Cali) is a practiced and powerful witch who is wary of what Adrik is but ultimately can't resist the power of their connection. This was such a fun read with a lot of passion and spice! The world building continues to be fantastic, and the more i learn about all of the characters, the more I cannot wait to see where else this series goes!

Adrik & Cali
I'm so glad to be back in this world. I loved getting Adrik's story.
He's definitely confident, but not overly so, he also has a big heart and he's funny.
Cali was kind, smart and sassy. I loved the banter between both characters and their chemistry was hot!
There was action, humor, anger, steam and more. I feel like with each book we're getting more pieces/answers to the overall puzzle .
I can't wait for the next book!
