Trusting A Cowgirl tells the story of Grace Callahan and her first job at being a therapist. She was working for Shane Owens in the Equine Therapy Center at the clubhouse with the vets. Her first assignment was Riley Scott. Just as she starts to break down his walls he lets her know he has been in love with her since day one. Their affection for each other was growing, however he thought he needed to meet her daddy and ask permission to date her. Zeke Callahan is just as scary as Shane told him. But when Grace shows up and fussed at him for coming to her home without invitation he took it as she did not think he was worth having and broke up with her.
The advice she gets from one of the older sisters is to date someone else. She still sees Riley at the therapy barn and she still fills like she is missing something. But she accepts an offer to date Tyler that had brought his niece in for therapy. There was no feeling like there was with Riley. Had Grace made the worst mistake of her life. Riley and Grace's love story is fantastic. RIley's military career has just ended with a charge of disorderly conduct. The Judge orders equine therapy. Grace grew up on a ranch with her father and 9 sisters and knows about horses and took some equine therapy courses but is new at being a therapist at Equine Therapy Center, where they help military veterans. When Riley meets Grace as his therapist he thinks he is fine and is disrespectful, gruff and negative. As they get to know each other, he finally opens up to her and they fall in love. Do what it takes to make you happy, that's all the good Lord wants for any of us.
Natalie has written another blessed book about being an ex-military man, going to equine therapy, being an equine therapist and of course falling in love. I recommend this and all of Natalie's books to everyone. I received this book from the publisher. All thoughts and comments are my own.

I don't know how to feel aboIt is well written, the way in which the author describes what is around is simple and understandable but honestly the evolution and background of the main couple leaves much to be desired. Not because it's not possible, but the fact of falling in love so quickly and saying I love you and being immature to put someone else's business and work at risk for something that could be done correctly is something that personally makes me see this romance as unstable. Again, the book is well done, perhaps it is the circumstances of the main couple that leave me with a bad taste in my mouth, because instead of the story being sweet, it shows the instability of the male protagonist who is unable to understand the consequences that his actions could bring other people and the immaturity and inexperience of the female lead that makes the romance hard to believe.ut this book.

This has been such an interesting and fun series. As much as I’d like to condemn Zeke, I also want to commend him and pat him on the back. He’s bound to have been in over his head when left with all his daughter, would have like to have seen his thought process with all his rules. Grace as the youngest was also not the rebel. Falling for her client would have been a personal and professional no-no, but the heart knows what it wants. Riley doesn’t fit who you would expect Grace to fall for or does he fit Zeke’s expectations or wants for a son-in-law. Natalie Dean has done a wonderful job of filling us in on both Grace and Riley’s feelings and thoughts. They certainly picked a hard row to go down. I enjoyed this book with its romance, humor and twists.

Riley is scarred by his military experience and needs help to heal but has a hard time admitting that even to himself let alone any one else! But he gets himself into a situation where he has no choice but to put in his time in the ordered therapy. Then the young woman assigned to him is just not going to cut it! But she pushy and he gets comfortable with her. As much as Riley fights both his PTSD and his attraction to Grace, life has a way of going where we don’t expect it to. Grace has her ups and downs as well and this creates some tense moments. Will love prevail? Great story and I throughly enjoyed reading it. I received a complimentary copy of this book and chose to write a review

An Army vet falls for his sweet little cowgirl therapist.
Enjoyed being with this author again. Riley and Grace story was sweet. At first he had a huge chip on his shoulder. But with Grace help all of that changed. He fell in love with her and she with him. There was still a hurdle to get over for Riley. When he finally shared with Grace she fell in love with him more and stood by him. Her father Zeke was hard nut to crack. That why she had hard time with wanting to share her family with Riley. Looking forward to reading the other sisters stories. I've read Adeline and Grace so I have 5 more to go.

They grew into love.
I really felt for Riley former service people have a hard time coming back into civilian life at the best of time but when they are dealing with the depression that can go with PTSD it is so much harder. Grace has her own past to deal with but she really is a sweetheart of a character. This was such a good book I was totally engaged in every word the author wrote. If you are looking at this book to buy do yourself a favor and do it. This is a too good to pass up story. I did receive a free copy of this book and voluntarily chose to review it.

This story is always heart-warming and this one is no different. Unfortunately, our hero is a PTSD angry veteran who is ordered by the court to get his life straightened out. Our heroine is the youngest Callahan who is striving to help this man. The problem is falling in love with your patient. This story tries to address the ethical issues of dating your therapist, but Riley doesn't want to hear it just like everything else in his life. If we can all learn that communication is the key to healing and the path to a healthy relationship.

A wonderful story. A cowgirl therapist and an older (slightly-ish) ex military man in need of some help. Grace, the youngest Callahan daughter doesn't quite know what to expect when she becomes a therapist at Shane's ranch or where it will end and what might happen and what her father's reaction might be when he finds out about Riley and their relationship, of sorts. Her sisters help with advice and none of it is much what Grace wants to hear. It's a bumpyish road for both Grace and Riley but could it be that Zeke Callahan has mellowed more than any of his daughters thought possible?

Trusting a Cowgirl is a clean, heartwarming, interesting romance. I l Roved getting to know Riley and Grace. Riley had a lot of anger and denial to learn to overcome. Grace needed to build her confidence. Together they eventually arrive at an HEA. I love this entire series. The Callahans are all interesting. Ms. Dean's stories always capture my interest. If you have not yet begun this series, what are you waiting for?

This is a well written clean romance with strong characters in Riley and Grace. The author does a great job developing both the story and her characters and deals with anger issues on his part and Equine Therapy with Grace. As time goes by they fall in love but have some problems to deal with. The scenes are painted perfectly and the story flows fluidly.

The Callahan girls (or women) keep surprising me. This is a wonderful story. Grace has become a therapist at the Equine Therapy Center. Her only client is a military man suffering from PTSD and anger issues. Riley Scott has been ordered by the judge to take this therapy against his will. Can Grace do the impossible and help this hurting man to see he is a valued person without falling for him?

Thought provoking book
The evidence that careful research had been done in the writing of this book was undeniable. PTSD is real. It is easy on the outside looking in to think you know what’s going on, but unless you have been there and faced the challenges, you really don’t. I loved following the Riley and Grace story as they both faced the demons in their past and cam through stronger on the other side. Good reading!!!!!

Therapy is Good!
That was an emotional roller coaster ride. Riley is Grace’s first client in Shane’s Equine Therapy clinic for veterans and others. Right off the bat there is tension because Riley thinks of Grace as a little girl (she is kind of small). But as time goes by they become close; too close so that Grace withdraws as his counselor because they are developing feelings for each other. This was a harsh look at PTSD for sure.

Good and important story
I was once told 'If I let it out again again, I can't promise I'll stay sane. So it's locked up.' This was my medic father talking about the horrors of the military.
I respect and honor those who choose to serve. I also, from firsthand experience, have seen what it does.
Ms Dean does a wonderful job telling a tale from both sides of a therapist and the hurting. Marvelous.

this is another good story, he is an ex military and grace is his therapist she is trying to help him but they do not see eye to eye sometimes. like when he goes to visit her father . well written story if you like animals and romance you will want to read the story i was given a copy of the book but this is an honest review

Number four of Callahan of Copper Creek does not disappoint the main characters are Grace the youngest of seven sisters and Riley a army veteran suffering from PTSD who is there for court ordered therapy. They have their ups and downs but work hard to make things work.

The fourth book in the Callahans of Copper Creek series another great story that held my interest. Ex-military Riley Scott and Grace Callahan do not get off to a good start, I enjoyed seeing these two get their happy ending. The story was well worth reading. I received a copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.

The book is a good romance read. The story has a good story line. The characters are good, and they have good chemistry. The banter, emotional angst, steamy romance, twists and humor make this a page turner you won’t want to put down!

Nobody can relate to what our military members have gone through unless they have lived it.
Riley’s story was so tough. I can’t begin to imagine. I’m proud of Grace for her courage to stick with him through his most difficult days.

This one left me so frustrated......
Like arghhhhhhh!!!!!! I feel like this got resolved super quickly. I know our characters were struggling, but I felt like their stories needed to be flushed out more. I'm hoping that the next one will be a bit better.

There are so many veterans with similar problems. It is good for it to be recognized. It's really true that it goes untreated or just over looked. This was well written and put before your readers. Great jub.
