Running out of money is no fun, and for Zoe Wright, it’s especially frustrating since there’s trust fund money there for her, she just can’t access it until January. So, with an eviction pending and friends vanishing as quickly as her money, Zoe has no choice but to return to Serenity Point for the holidays. It’s the last place on earth she wants to be, and she plans to leave behind as soon as she has money again. Why would she want to stay where she’s constantly reminded of the worst time of her life?
Ben Wilson is surprised when Zoe shows up in his family’s coffee shop. Less surprising was Zoe not recognizing him. Even though they’d been in the same grade, they had definitely moved in different circles throughout their school years.
Zoe isn’t interested in reconnecting with any of her old friends, so she’s surprised when she finds herself seeking out opportunities to talk to Ben—who definitely hadn’t been a friend in high school. But he has some suggestions for her with regards to her music career, which, so far, has gone nowhere. Desperate for some direction, she takes him up on his offer to help her, and soon, they’re spending lots of time together as they work on a Christmas music project.
Ben is happy to help Zoe, but the more time they spend together, the more he begins to fall for her. However, he knows that his feelings are futile because her mind and heart are set on leaving Serenity Point and returning to Nashville.
Zoe’s heart is truly torn. The more time she spends working with Ben on their project, the more hope she has for the future of her music. It makes her excited about returning to Nashville. But, also, the more time she spends with Ben, the more she wants to be with him. But she’s leaving, and Ben’s place is in Serenity helping his mom with their coffee shop.
Torn between her dream and her love, Zoe has to decide which she is willing to sacrifice. Will this be the best Christmas ever? Or will it be just one more holiday full of heartache?

Reunions are so special!!! Also, it can be easy to think we know what our heart's desire is, but many times, God shows us His plan, and it is much better than we could have ever dreamed. My favorite part was the pastor's Christmas Eve message. There seems to be a common theme in the first two books in this trilogy. God used people to draw others closer to Him and to show those others what true love really is. Very well done!
Zoe was lost, more lost than she could even imagine. Ben had a good life, no drama, he was able to assist his mom with the family business, do a few gaming videos on the side, he was content. That is until Zoe Wright walked into his coffee shop and slowly rocked his world. Another beautiful Christmas story by Kimberly, she warms Christmas with her delightful stories of hope, peace and love.
Zoe found out the hard way what she thought friends in Nashville and her exboyfriend. All they cared about was her money which they used and forced her to go back home with very little money. She met her ex high school classmate, Ben, and things started to change for the better. He believed in her talents. He helped her .and videos and also back to having faith in God again. Great holiday and family story.
Wow oh wow. Zoe grows up emotionally in this book and it really is hard but with Ben, family and family friends and #1 God, Zoe finally gets it all together. Start reading now. Just know you are going to continue to read it as quick as you can because you want to know the ending. Enjoy Enjoy!!!!!!
A successful growth from hurt to hope. Zoe arrived @ her sister's, much like Darius had in book 1. She had made choices that were not good for her or her budget. Her visions hadn't become reality & she needed a place to stay. At her sister's healing began. A happy ending.
Ben helps Zoe find a new way to share her music. He uses his equipment and research ability to share her music in new ways, reaching more people. Zoe learns joy comes from being where God wants you.
Both A Candle in the Window and A using in her Heart are compelling reading! Ms. Jordan is truly one of my favorite authors. She has great plots, likeable realistic characters. Her books have a depth that is uncommon in today's culture.
Zoe came back home broken. She thought that her life was all planned on but GOD had a different plan. Zoe thought coming home would be painful but it was healing.
What an inspiring book. Reading Zoe's story was interesting, exciting and inspiring. The people you come in contact with can sometimes change a person. That is why we should always present God. You never know when you will have an impact on someone.
Loved this sweet romantic story! This is such a great sequel to Jordan's A Candle in the Window. I can't wait to read the next book in the series! (It's great to be able to read a moving story that is not full of sex and profanity!)
I just love Kimberly Rae Jordan and her writing. The stories just bring you in and can’t stop reading. I love how each character is so thought out as well as bringing characters from other books in to keep the world alive. I truly love it.
Just love each and every book Kimberly writes. You just want to keep reading until you get to the end. Had a hard time putting it down, cause I wanted to know how it would end.
I nearly didn't read this book! I have enjoyed all of this author's books apart from the first one in this series. I'm glad I did read it because I thoroughly enjoyed it. Great read.
This book continued to renew my faith in romance and reunions. I love that the family is back together and love how God is working in each of their lives.
The story trend and development were perfectly sincornised to lead to the highlight of the story line. Enjoyable reading. The true love and affection contributed to enriches and satisfying reading. Enjoyed reading the book.
I really enjoyed this book. It does help to have read the first book, A Candle in the Window, but you could get away without reading it until after this one. The pace is relaxed, and the characters are loveable. A fun Christmas read with good spiritual growth in the characters.
