Charlotte and Katherine moments everything I’ve ever wAaaaaaanted. The only thing that could have made this even better was some more stuff with older Maddie and Ellie. Gosh, these little outtakes and extra bits were perfect.
I enjoyed this! It was nice to get Charlotte's perspective on several things, and nice to see them after the main book. I liked the pictures of their apartments, I wasn't expecting that. It was in desperate need of editing, though.
Why did it take me so long to read this bonus scences? It contains really cute little chapters that complete the story of Sutton and Charlotte. There are also pictures of their profiles and potential apartments.
I can't decide what the highlight is for me. They are all insights that I have literally absorbed. And oh boy.. the scenes with Katherine and Charlotte melted my heart, and I can't deny that I had tears in my eyes. I read the scenes several times because they moved me deeply.
Charlotte and Sutton will probably always be my favorite couple, and these chapters were just beautiful. And the ending in this book... the two of them in their 50s—Haley Cass, thank you for that! A perfect ending for a couple I never want to see end. I wouldn't mind if Haley kept writing about all their parallel universes. I would read everything!
By the way, these bonus scenes are only available on Haley Cass's Patreon. It's really worth it! There's so much more to discover about Charlotte and Sutton there.
at this point im pretty sure it’s a known fact that i love charlotte and sutton, so it’s not a surprise that i enjoyed this
BUT what this book pointed out was that i need more katherine and charlotte moments, im just gonna attach my fav quotes between them since i cant quote the entire chapter 😭 just seeing katherine treat charlotte more and more like family over the years made my heart swell 🥹
”I would be interested in knowing, Barbara, why you feel the apparently encompassing urge to badmouth my daughter–in–law while at my own holiday party.”
“Though you weren’t invited to their wedding, I’m sure you’re fully aware that Sutton and Charlotte are married. Which makes both of them my daughters now,” from her vantage point, she could see how Katherine crossed her arms.
“You are instinctive,” she murmured into her ear, soothingly. “You couldn’t do what you do or be nearly as successful if you weren’t. I’ve seen you with Sutton for years. And when you have your own child, it will translate to that.”
However, she would give them one thing; they did enough right that they’d raised a woman who she had come to very much love. And like any mother would to her child, she drew back, and met her gaze. “And if you ever need anything, you have a mother who is here day or night.”
I didn't know I needed a part in Katherine's pov 😭 but god I did!
Loved loved loved this! Obviously lol. It was like getting a peek behind the scenes and honestly, these parts were all so awesome! So glad I had the pleasure to read them!
For me, one word sums up the whole story of Those Who Wait, Forever and a Day and even Midnight Rain. It's: Endearing. It's just everything that revolves around Charlotte and Sutton.
Even though I still have certain reservations, I nevertheless wholeheartedly commend Ms. Haley for her exceptional storytelling and excellent writing skills and especially since it was her debut novel. Conlaudo maximae ei
Adds a lot to Charlottes POV and answers all last remaining open questions! Now i am unfortunately finished with the whole Sutton-Charlotte-universe after reading this, Those who wait, Forever and a day and The snowball effect and still catch myself hoping for just another sequel, even after soo many read pages. Haley Cass is just a master in world-building and telling romance dynamics taking her time to outline every single detail and taking it back up again even later in the story which makes her stories feel extremely real and well-thought out! Excited what she will have in store next, her stories with such deep and also funny characters are my new happy place! best author i‘ve discovered this year!
Since the book literally rewired my brain, I was SO happy to find out that Cass released a lot of bonus chapters and life episodes on Patreon. I live for this now 😍 These bonus contents + the extra ones on Patreon provide a very nice insight and expansion on the main story since 600 pages were not nearly enough LOL. I really like seeing all the POVs and extra scenes. Bonus points for the chapters on Charlotte and Katherine, I was super curious about that relationship.
As someone who will never stop stanning Charlotte and Sutton, this collection was everything I wanted and more.
These bonus stories feel like love letters to fans who weren’t ready to say goodbye, a chance to peek into the “after.” The tension’s gone, the walls are down, and what’s left is just pure connection.
There’s something so special about getting to see them in their quiet moments: making breakfast, teasing each other, showing up for one another in small but meaningful ways. It’s domestic, it’s funny, it’s soft. And of course, Charlotte still says “darling,” which made me melt all over again.
I loved how it showed the contrast between their public and private lives, especially how Sutton keeps Charlotte grounded when work or politics gets overwhelming. Their love feels lived-in and real, the kind of relationship that doesn’t just survive but thrives in the ordinary.
Reading this genuinely felt like catching up with old friends. It made me smile, made me teary, and left me feeling like their story truly came full circle.
💫🌟✨🌟💫 5/5 — pure warmth, joy, and closure for two characters who will always have my heart.
Ever since I've read Forever and a Day, I wanted to know more about Charlotte and Katherine's relationship, how they navigated through the years, how Charlotte maintained her relationship with her mother-in-law. And Haley Cass really did it! Its like she reads my mind. And I was satisfied with it. I cried and sob reading those mother/daughter scenes.
Now, reading this bonus content, I am intrigued with Charlotte and Sutton's daughter Madelyn. I wanted to know more about her. Now I want a spin-off for her. This might be impossible, but a girl could only hope 🫣😅
This bonus content really gave me something to play with in my head as I re-read Those Who Wait.
The ending really melted my heart. The love Charlotte has for her wife and children is out of this world. And the support Sutton gave her is extraordinary.
5 stars. Hi, me again for the third time today with more Charlotte and Sutton. I’ve been living my best life all day with these stories. I seriously cannot get enough and I wouldn’t mind at all if Cass continued to write more about these two because they’re my faves. This was such a wonderful little collection and I thought the images were really fun and aided in bringing this world and characters to life. The scene of Charlotte speaking with Sutton’s mom about babies was lovely and the ending was a great look into the future. I’m looking forward to reading Those Who Wait and all of these short stories all over again because this has been the best reading experience I’ve had all year.
Aw, that was a really cute addition, to an amazing book. I would have gladly read about their life some more!
Sutton and Charlotte have the perfect dynamic. I loved the little glimpse of Charlotte and Regan. This scene was mentioned in 'The Snowball Effect' but then wasn't in TWW and now I got to read it!
I will never get over Sutton and Charlotte. The way Haley Cass explores their lives and personalities so deeply is mesmerizing. I feel the author is slowly and deliciously knitting a big black hole that swallows you and leaves your head spinning, in my case, indefinitely. What a masterpiece!
Every book needs bonus content. Feed us readers. I rated the book 5* and then had desert I didn’t know I needed. What a way to round out a full life with visuals, kids, in laws and bonding moments. Super cute.
I just freaking adore this series!! I love Charolette’s character so much and love seeing how she has grown over time. I just can’t get enough of these two and would not be mad about more books in regards to their storyline, I’d read them all!!
